Is swap part of ram the on this phone? - HTC One V

Hi
My HTC One V has 512MB RAM but only 377.7 MB is accessible.
I noticed that the SWAP is 134.2 MB 1!!!
377.7 + 134.2 = 511.9 !!!!!!!!!
Is the SWAP the missing RAM ?
The swap is empty !!! Can I add this swap to ram ? I have low ram problem
Thanks

If swap is "empty" it means, that it's not needed... but you can do this:
Find via any of root file manager where's that swap file is. Then: Terminal Emulator->type "su"->use command: "swapon directoryofswapfile"

I Googled and now I think that it's not swap file, it's ramzswap or zram.
Because the size of this swap is exactly equal with the missing memory!
Is this true? Is removing zram recommend?

if u use custom rom u can swap youre phone.
i use slimbean rom and i swap it 4 gb → swaper 2

Some RAM is reserved for system.

it does exactly what it says:
if a file been deleted by accident or you decided to keep some photo you took but after deleting it ... with this app you will be able to simply restore it back.
tested it on my HOX, my wifes' SGS1, and it works just great !
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...GwsMSwxLDIxMiwiY29tLmJhbG9vdGEuZHVtcHN0ZXIiXQ..
give it a go, its a mandatory application on every android device !
But does it have a black hole like on PC? Once I had 100 GB hard disk and I had around 300 GB with **** in recycler bin. Does it work here too?

haven't noticed any additional directories on the storage after deleting some files... so i think that the "black hole" is not present here.

Windows doesn't delete any files it just makes the space the data is store as "writable" and all "writable" space is shown as "free space" in windows even if there is actually data stored there, the reason behind you being able to recover files after they have been deleted.
Also you can't have a 100 GB disk and "around 300 GB" of data stored in writable space just can't happen, unless you mean 1000 GB..... and even still that 300 GB of "****" would be classed as writable so the operating system will just write over it when that time comes.

Lost space? Perhaps game data

Hi all,
I just went from full stock to ordroid 7.1.0. When I check my available space I see this.

Now I have lost a lot of space "overig". Is this maybe caused by previously installed games? And if so, how do I fully delete game data without fusing around in explorer?

No I think he means the 4.43 GB out of 6.76 GB
It's a little strange, cause the App space is at my phone (stock 2.17) is 2.11 GB and I have 1.28 GB available. So you have more space available then me on Stock ROM with 852 MB on Apps. I wouldn't worry at this moment. But you could ask at the Ordroid thread, why it's showing so much space and "Overige" section.
This is mine... But it seems ok

-AutoKiller Memory Optimizer boosts your device and defends your battery at the same time!
Forget task killers! AutoKiller Memory Optimizer is not a regular task manager, it is an award winner memory (minfree) tweaker, it fine tunes android systems inner memory manager to keep your device fast over time. As a side effect it also lowers battery consumption. Also includes a manual process/service manager.
- ROOT REQUIRED to set minfree values, unrooted devices will only have an emulation of this feature.
-I really recommend to you to buy the pro key.
-Lets see how to use :
-Attachment 1
-Check how much ram i have free with the system default minfree settings
-Around 98MB >> Now go to change and click wich one suites you,in my case is the ultimate (Check attachment 2)
Now you will see how your ram free increases, jst check mine, now with ultimate selected i got around 120MB ram free instanly (Check attachment 3)
So guys, try it ,and post your opinions about the app,and dont forget to thanks
If u like the app buy pro key it really have cool features.
Link to the app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rs.autokiller&hl=es
I will test it, thank you! :good:
will test tomorrow...

its normal.i also hv the similiar result.u r using class 10 rite?in my opinion the write speed is simply meaning copy n paste.while the read means it read the file that u run so it should be in higher speed.(CMIIW).n regarding the sd swap theres a flash method in one of the thread(forgot in which section n the OP) n he compile all the flash method to swap for most of the latest rom(GB,ICS,JB)

Is there diference in storage speed 16gb vs 32gb?

Thinking of buying this phone, its right on the limit of my budget...
Sent from my LG-P880 using Tapatalk
I dont think so. its only for flash-based storage like UFS found in new phones. 5x uses emmc, 5.0 to be exact. lastly, please don't buy 16gb and try to buy 32gb
If you buy the 16gb version be prepared to run out of storage frequently if you keep music, photos, etc on your device (not in the cloud). The latest MM system image is around 6-7 gigs, and once you factor in apps that precious space disappears pretty quick. As most everyone will probably tell you, just spring for the 32gb device.
Seriously, don't get 16GB. I'm pretty minimal on my apps, don't do gaming, and apps plus system is already 11+GB. Not worth the headache of micromanaging your storage or skimping out on apps.
