Hi all,
I just went from full stock to ordroid 7.1.0. When I check my available space I see this.

Now I have lost a lot of space "overig". Is this maybe caused by previously installed games? And if so, how do I fully delete game data without fusing around in explorer?

No I think he means the 4.43 GB out of 6.76 GB
It's a little strange, cause the App space is at my phone (stock 2.17) is 2.11 GB and I have 1.28 GB available. So you have more space available then me on Stock ROM with 852 MB on Apps. I wouldn't worry at this moment. But you could ask at the Ordroid thread, why it's showing so much space and "Overige" section.
This is mine... But it seems ok

I have non-rooted official HTC Desire, which was running 2.10.405.2
2 days ago I realised that the new update (OTA) is available and I updated. The installation was fine (no errors).
After I started using new update in the app manager I realised such thing that some apps space is not shown correctly (picture). For example, 'HTC Sense' instead of 2,03 mb writes simply 2. When I watch the details of it, it shows normally..
And my mflops in Linpack decreased from 31-34 to 27-33. May be it's not true. But I really got disappointed, when updated. I did update the second one but from recovery, and the problem stayed.
Are there any solutions?

I'd be looking at a hard reset if nothing else works

what do you mean by these words? 'Nothing else' is what?
Meaning if you can't manage to sort it out yourself. I've no suggestions, I'd have flashed the 2.29.405.2 a long time ago by now and set my Desire up again from scratch!!

1) I cleaned my desktop from widgets and realised that Linpack shows stable 35-36 now. So it's not a problem.
2) That app manager shows a little bit incorrect - I will wait for a new update and then I hope I won't see that problem again.
Panic ended

I read from a guide that you should backup those first 4 items. I'm not sure what else you can clean from the SD card though

You can quite safely delete all of these, provided everything is working as it should, personally I'd stick them all in my Android folder on my PC in case I need them in future, but they certainly don't need to be on your SD card.

thank you both!
You need the first one if you want to go back and radio s-on again. Hboot is not so important as it can be restored from an ruu if necessary.

Do you have stock HBOOT or CM7? If you have stock you should have selected the A2SD+ option when the ROM was flashing. If you are not sure then maybe start again, boot into recovery and do a full wipe, flash the ROM and make sure you select the correct option when prompted (A2SD+ for Stock HBOOT, A2SDX for CM7)
hi i chose the A2SD+ option upon installing, should i carry out the partion before installing rom or after?or does it make no difference
Partitioned SD card for A2SD+ correctly?
I'm not related to the developers in any way, just wanted to provide some info for you guys about this must to have app.

it does exactly what it says:
if a file been deleted by accident or you decided to keep some photo you took but after deleting it ... with this app you will be able to simply restore it back.
tested it on my HOX, my wifes' SGS1, and it works just great !
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...GwsMSwxLDIxMiwiY29tLmJhbG9vdGEuZHVtcHN0ZXIiXQ..
give it a go, its a mandatory application on every android device !
But does it have a black hole like on PC? Once I had 100 GB hard disk and I had around 300 GB with **** in recycler bin. Does it work here too?

haven't noticed any additional directories on the storage after deleting some files... so i think that the "black hole" is not present here.

Windows doesn't delete any files it just makes the space the data is store as "writable" and all "writable" space is shown as "free space" in windows even if there is actually data stored there, the reason behind you being able to recover files after they have been deleted.
Also you can't have a 100 GB disk and "around 300 GB" of data stored in writable space just can't happen, unless you mean 1000 GB..... and even still that 300 GB of "****" would be classed as writable so the operating system will just write over it when that time comes.
I cant figure out whats taking up a 4gb of my phones storage? There's 13.33gb total with 6.22gb available. I've tried resets in recovery, file browser apps, plugging it up to the computer, and no luck. 6gb of availible is plenty but don't want it to get to the point to where it slows the device down. I've deleted backups of old ROMs which helped a little. Help por favor!
You've told us nothing with which to give you a solution from. Take screenshots of your Storage screen so we can see what is using what.

Why didn't I do that.. Just flashed a new rom before posting this and didnt try it. All of my previous roms said "no information available"
After tapping that it turns out clockworkmod is using 3.46gbs. Not sure what could be using that much from there though.
