Any idea if BootManager will work on our device? I want sure as our bootloader isn't unlocked.

It doesn't work on JellyBean.

Thinking about moving to a defy. What are the limitations on roms/kernels/etc? I see threads about no custom boot loader available. What does that limit? What else is different coming from htc/nexus?

Bump.......
Overclockable to 1.2 ghz on any rooted rom.
All kernels and bootloaders stock and recovery must be flashed with app on boot.
Moto locked bootloaders.
We have sense and blurless roms though

Means you install an app that automatically flashes recovery every time your phone boots.
Root is one click

What is needed for root/recovery? Ie, is the root app available on the market or everything must be done from pc?

No need to root before you unlock it. Because its a matter of flashing the root zip in recovery after you unlock.

As well as that, I'm not trying to be rude but, if you don't know the terminology; you probably don't know exactly what you're doing. Not knowing what you're doing when flashing ROMs and dealing with root apps has the potential to screw over your phone.
I do know what im doing. My phone is already rooted and has cwm. But should I UNROOT before I get the bootloader unlocked

It won't affect the bootloader. No need to remove it.

Yes and yes.
Damnit. What about if I flash a custom tw ROM? I just want to get back to tw with root and use my Bluetooth

They always come pre-rooted and never contain a recovery. So that should work for you.

TriangleAway works fine. Your bootloader will not be locked.

Bootloader stays unlocked.
The bootloader on the T999 was never locked. Using any program to unlock the bootloader will brick the phone.
Hi.. I'm currently running a AOSP ROM. When I initially rooted my phone I was on 4.3 . Now in order to fix an issue with the ROM I need to have 4.4 bootloader... Can anybody offer some guidance on where to go to get this info? HUGE thanks

I put 4.4 on my phone through Kies and then rerooted using CF auto root.
