Hi.. I'm currently running a AOSP ROM. When I initially rooted my phone I was on 4.3 . Now in order to fix an issue with the ROM I need to have 4.4 bootloader... Can anybody offer some guidance on where to go to get this info? HUGE thanks

I put 4.4 on my phone through Kies and then rerooted using CF auto root.

Hey Guys,
Just heard that the update is coming to canada on Wednesday. Will I need to unroot my note 2 for the update to work? Can I use CF method to re root again once the update has completed?

As long as you have stock recovery you are good. However after the update you may loose root, and your device status may say modified unless you factory reset.

Remove root.
Then install update.
Reapply root.
I'd recommend a custom rom. You get so much more. And it's been multi Window 4.1.2 since October.

I get the notification to update to 4.3 but when I do it does not take. I go to about and I'm still on 4.1.3. I have rooted my phone so not sure if that had something to do with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need to have a stock ROM and stock recovery to update. Although if I was you I would flash a custom version from here on XDA. They run better and you won't have to worry about trying to root with Knox.

My phone is fully stock and it won't take for me either. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Does the unroot function in the Super SU paid version work?
Unrooting from the 4.4 kit kat stock rom. Im running stock recovery also.
Has nobody used the Full Unroot feature of SuperSU with kitkat and the note 4?

Made an account just to reply to this. I was in the same boat, and tried that. Phone rebooted but couldn't take OTA. When it restarted after failed OTA install, went into bootloop. Had to reflash stock through ODIN and problem solved. Sorry man.
So Im running stock recovery and stock rooted 4.4. So that means I either wait for lollipop on Kies or Odin back to stock then take the OTA.

I'm in the same boat
Not sure about this but Odin to stock and taking update will keep all your data if that is what you are worried about. Only issue is you might not be as smooth keeping your settings. I had some fc's and lag. So I reset to factory and restored apps and there was a huge speed and smoothness increase.
Im planning on reseting, trying to maintain setup on a major update always causes lag.
