Hello I need your help. I didn't make any changes like root, ROM flash, unlocking bootloader and so. In the morning I had about 8 % battery so I plugged tablet into charger (it was on and wifi was also on). When I came home afte 4-5 hours I press power button and lock screen (i didnt unlock it) showed up but I noticed that battery icon showed only 2/3 and there was not charging flash indication, I was confused so I unplug it and lock the screen. Then I press power button again to show unlock screen but nothing happened. After that I tried to plug it back to charger (nothing happened) , try to hold power button for more then 2 minutes, also power + vol UP or vol DOWN (to access bootloader) or both but nothing appeared, I try to connect to PC nothing only when I press power + both volume buttons and plug it into PC then PC shows missing driver QHSUSB_DLOAD but nothing appers on screen. I read that this message indicates brick. How can I brick nexus by nothing doing? I also try google video ,,Nexus 7 won't charge or turn on,, (i cant post link) but only more then 2 hours connection in AC. I'll try leave it over night but I dont think so that it will help.

Hi there!
I have got a really strange problem with my desire. Here is what happened:
I opened the market app whilst using mobile internet. The app froze on the loading screen and the phone was unresponsive.
I pulled the battery and powered on again. All seemed fine.
I opened the market again and the exact same thing happened, only this time I can't turn the phone back on.
I have tried pulling the battery. Tried plugging the phone into a charger without the battery then reinserting the battery. Tried charging the battery until the led went green, still no luck.
I had plenty of battery when this happened.
When the phone is on charge, when you press the power button, the led goes out, but the phone does not turn on.
Does anyone know what this might be? or how I can turn my phone on again?
Thanks all!
Bump, does anybody have any idea?
The only idea I have is a hard factory reset:
Try to start phone with pressed volume down and power button, navigate with volume button to "clear storage" and enter with power button.
Swyped from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Wipe dalvilks cache in recovery
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Thanks for the ideas guys. I actually can't power on the device at all. Can't boot into recovery, can't do anything as far as I can tell.
Any other ideas?

What the hell are you doing to ur desire?
Try removing battery for a minute, then re insert it
Then press volume down and without release it, press also power button and wait 5 seconds with both pressed to see if it boots into bootloader and go into recovery too

I removed the charger before putting the battery in. I saw someone recommend it on another forum with a similar problem.
I have tried to get into recovery after leaving the battery out for 12 hours, after charging the phone until the led was green, it seems I've tried everything to get this to work but nothing.
I'm really annoyed as well because I'm 2 weeks out of warranty. It just seems so odd that a software crash could cause all this.
Anybody else got any ideas?
what happens when you press.. volume down and power.. can you see the hboot screen.. is your phone recognised in ur pc?

Absolutely nothing. Totally blank screen, no vibrate nothing. Phone is not recognised by pc. The only things that happen are the following:
When plugged into the charger the orange led comes on, and eventually turns green.
When plugged in, if I press the power button the led turns off, but nothing else happens.
I'm totally at a loss. I called HTC and am sending it in for warranty repair. They said they have extended the warranty to 2 years which is a bit of a turn up for the books, so hopefully they will fix it for free and not charge me for it
Try this:
Boot into hboot
Count (slowly) to 20
Then press the power button once
Connect the usb
Start command prompt
Type "fastboot devices"
For this to work you need to install Android SDK see here http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Howto:_Install_the_Android_SDK
If you get anything than somebody can help you. I read somewhere about this issue but I can't find it anymore.
My brother has a HTC One X (still not unlock bootloader and root)
yesterday, when he upgraded GO lock screen, the phone freezed and crash. I don't know exactly what was he doing but as he said, he turn on the phone by pressing power + vol+ buttons. And chose something which he didn't know what is this lol
and then, the phone completely off. I tried to press power button or power + vol+ many times but the screen didn't show up anything
I connected it to my PC but PC didn't recognize phone, and of course, it can't be charged too
Anybody can help his HOX please
I don't know what to do now T.T
how old is this phone if it still under warenty i would send it back to either if its contract and covered to them or take it back to the shop you got it from because it sounds like a full on brick to me.
connect it to the charger for ATLEAST 1 hour then try again. there are no options in the bootloader which brick the phone

yep, i agree... you should charge your phone and you will see you red led blinking... let it charge and that will do the trick
Then plug it to your PC's USB,if your PC can see it's presence and install drivers then it's not bricked.
Most probably your bro did a master reset from the bootloader menu and the battery was weak,if the phone doesn't boot after recharging then hold down power + volume to access bootloader menu and reset again this time with good battery

Sent from my Xoom using xda app-developers app
before having the problem, his phone was at full charge
and as i mentioned above, connect to PC, charge ... the phone didn't show anything
Hold down the power button for 10 sec to do a ''battery removal'' simulation.
Also did yout try to enter bootloader menu holding power + volume(phone off)?

3 days ago on my b-day I charge my phone only to power it on and have it immediately shut off on me. I plug it into charger and it was still fully charged so i turn on agian and it does the same thing it will just immediately turn off on me. Now its gotten to the point where when i try to power it on the word google pops up and it brightens after abotu 3 seconds then phone turns off and continue to charge. The phone battery indicates it is fully charged however it wont turn on. May i remind you my volume down button does not work so i can not Volume keys and Power button reboot. Plz help
I wonder if the hardware has broken somehow? If just the power button broke, this post says to remove the battery, plug phone into computer, then insert battery: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...rnative-to-t1731128/post65166854#post65166854
If only the software has broken somehow, maybe you can flash a new ROM from the beginning using one of the nexus toolkit apps which automate everything for you.
I did a software update recently on my Z5 Premium Dual E6833, and when I look at it later it was off! I tried to turn it on, but it was unresponsive. No signs of life at all. Its completely dead. OFF button in SIM slot does nothing, even if I hold it for more than two minutes. No charging LED light when connected to wall charger. When I plug it to my PC, it was being detected as "Unknown Device". Tried loading some ADB driver but it was not accepting it. Tried few different chargers and cables as well. Also Volume Up + Power does nothing at all, same for Volume Down + Power...
Looks like it runs out of charge when it did a software update, it was still have more than 50% when I started the software update. ..
Can anyone guide me on what to do next? I am in the middle of the desert at the moment for the next three weeks, and no access to any local service center. Thank you in advance for any advice that you might have... :crying:
i am worried since you did the volume up + power button trick!
charge your device over night , hold the volumeup+ power button for atleast 15 seconds , the device must jerk thrice! remove fingers on second jerk . the device will shutdown . at this point connect device in flashmode and flash the kernel!
Thank you for your reply, appreciate it! I have tried that trick of holding the Volume Up + Power even up to 30 seconds, but for some unknown reason, it does not vibrate at all. I have tried it on numerous occasion but the vibration was not coming at all...
I hope I'm posting this in the right place but I'm desperate for help.
My phone, HTC 10, froze and then the screen turned off while I was taking a picture.
The charge should have been around 80%.
Symptoms:
The screen is unresponsive.
Couldn't get the home button/finger print sensor to turn the screen on.
Couldn't get the power button to turn the screen on.
A call to my phone could not reach my number as well.
When plugged in to a wall charger or laptop no indicator light turns on.
When connected to a laptop, the laptop makes that connection noise and a long name with QualComm in it shows up.
Tried Power Button + Volume Up for 10 seconds but didn't get any result.
Side note:
The power button was a little faulty before as well.
You have to squeeze it a certain way to make it work.
I need to somehow restart my phone. Any ideas?

Try to clean all buttons really well, if it keeps failing to boot and the phone is still recognized as Qualcomm it's probably bricked.
Simple explanation of the word bricked :
When the phone doesn't boot, when you can't access the bootloader, download mode or recovery it's bricked!

Strange turn of events: I plugged the phone to my laptop because I read somewhere that it drains the battery. Just for the kicks, after a few hours, I unplugged and re-plugged my phone. Suddenly, there was light. The battery light came back. I immediately switched to the wall charger and once I did that the battery icon appeared showing 1%. Now, it's peacefully charging away. Will see if it actually turns on later on once it's charged about half an hour.
