I and some of my friends have Glide.
after upgrade to ICS and unlock using "GalaxSim Unlock" often when our phone's is in standby (Screen Off) call not ringing and sms will not received but by pressing power key to unlock phone will ringing!!!
I also tried to change my rom to original or restore original efs backup and unlocking again but no change!

Hi,
I have Touch Pro2 on Vodaphone with the stock rom and today when i power on the phone it goes to the enter phone lock as normal but when i press the unlock key after entering the code nothing happens.
Is there a safe boot or anyway to get into the phone without doing a hard reset?

When i go to boat loader by pressing volume down key and power on key at the same time ... I see 4 options. Last of them is SIMLOCK. I wanted to ask what is it ? And how does it works?

i presume that's what i enabled on mine to lock the sim till i enter my code on bootup / or disable flight mode.

But I have tried changing the SIM. Different SIM also works. However, when I put my original SIM in the phone, I got a message from the second SIM showing me all the details of second SIM. It looks like second SIM sent all the identity information to first SIM. Not sure, if it was an app or due to this SIM Lock feature?
hi all, I'm in a dilemma now. Bought a mytouch 3g slide from ebay, I can't get into bootloader by the VOL - and Power button. Worse is, the phone has a pattern lock and I can't get inside. I think the volume button is not working. Is there anyway I can factory reset the phone w/o using the VOL. button? Is there any method to factory reset probably using the slide-out keypad keys?
ask the seller if they know the pattern to unlock it?
I've successfully run the RUU update on the phone for 2.2.1 but when it boots up the pattern unlock is still there, why isn't it being reset?

Problem: Screen lock is not working; Patten lock or password lock not working;
one push power button it will turn off screen, and when push again screen come live but dont ask for screen lock or patten unlock
when push and hold power button, it trun off the phone, dont give any options like flight mode, silent mode or turn off;
I have rooted, and install custom rom;s and karnals etc, even reinstalled orginal firmware; still dint get back the lock screen.

Key integral information would be what ROM and software you're using now. Some launchers have extra settings, that can inhibit the Android security settings if they conflict.
Also, you might find the answer by posting to the Thread where you've gotten your custom ROM...you might even find the answer (drum roll & dramatic pause for effect) searching.

i restore by using: SGH-T989_TMB_1_T989UVKL1_CL799405_REV00

and did you make sure you didn't use titanium back up to remove or freeze something you shouldn't had? I accidentally did that b4 and caused something to not work until I defrosted it

I was just having this problem with my new sg2 that tmobile sent me. i received it today and was having the exact same things happening. Another user suggested i do a factory reset and that did the trick. Hope that helps you

I have reformatted to factory setting many time, still dint work...
I try to reinstall shutdown.apk file, which i could not installed,.
as this is system file probably running at the time of installation; how i can reinstall this file? may be this will help?

Sorry for disturbing you but I'm desperate, I tried everything and I can't find a way to unlock my bootloader, Here are the steps I've done so far ... First I've activated the OEM Unlock option in the dev mode, then I've turned off my phone and booted into recovery by pressing bixby boutton + Volume up, Then I choose Reboot into bootloader and so far from there I got only a screen saying to hold Bixby + Volume down for more than 7 sec to reboot the device and also got a bar code there ... I don't got the function to unlock the bootloader as everyone else ...
Also I've bought my phone yesterday here in saudi arabia, and I got the latest firmware version and that it N975FXXU1BSL7/N975FOXM1BSL9

If you must unlock your boot loader, plug your usb into a pc, turn off the phone, hold volume up and volume down together, and plug the usb cable in.
Then you will find the unlock option.
