Hello
I Bought a HTC10 on Amazon, the international version. then my nightmares just started.
I have a M8 200% customized. rooted, s-off, viper yada yada yada
I thought I would be a happy htc10 owner, but no
when I got the phone, I realized it was a Thai version.
I turned the phone developer mode. I activated oem unlock, USB debugging, I updated my HTC drivers, I tried in a Mac and a windows.
I restarted the phone w volume down/power to download mode (the new black window), then selected reboot to bootloader
which leads me to the reboot white window - which is asking me to reboot to bootloader, to recovery mode, regular reboot or power down.
when I select to reboot on bootloader, then an infinite loop starts.
I mean, I click to reboot on bootloader, and the screen goes back to the white window
so I'm not able to enter the bootloader to get the code to unlock the phone.
Did someone cracked this thai model? I googled a lot, there's no info at all.
thanks in advance
Sorry, its not THAI but TAIWAN
Sorry, its TAIWAN, not Thai

The white screen is bootloader thats why when you boot to bootloader it goes back to it. Nothing is wrong. To unlock bootloader you need to be in download mode. All fastboot commands are done from download mode.
Thanks! it worked!
Hello xda members!
I am really stuck and I have lost many nervs trying to unlock the bootloader.
Well, I am not new to this and never had a problem the last years with several phones but this one s***s balls, sorry.
In the settings I checked for "OEM-Unlock" of course. Rebooted to Download Mode but I don't get the screen where I have to press Vol-Up to confirm unlocking the bootloader. What's up with that?
I tried everything I could think about but as I said I'm stuck and you guys here are my last chance.
I really hope someone can help me.
Greetings

As I said I checked for OEM-Unlock and it's on. And I don't have a problem entering Download mode. I don't get the screen to confirm unlocking bootloader. And that's what I don't understand.

Let we make it clear, If you enter download mode from Android Recovery, you will not see the option to long press volume up to unlock the boot loader. You will see it if you enter download mode: Turn off it, press and hold volume up + volume down together while pressing these keys, connect the phone to PC using USB cable.
enter download mode and long press vol up should fix the problem
I have the same problem with my galaxy fold F900F ..
I can enter to green screen ( download mode ) But there is no option for long press volume up ..
only I get long press volume down + power to restart the phone ...
so how to confirm unlocking bootloader in this case .. ?

Hello,
The problem usually comes when you unlock and lock bootloader too many times (2 or 3). To fix this problem you need to go into download mode - flash the stock firmware from samfw.com and then setup you phone. Then, unlock oem will be available in developer options and then you can unlock bootloader from download mode.
Hope this helps.

Hello,
I think you need to flash the stock firmware. Then, bootloader unlock will be available in the download mode.
FYI If anyone is having this issue like me, just use power button + vol up + vol down button while powered off then connect usb cable, and it worked (for me!)
hey all. I had the same problem and managed to make the hold volume up to unlock option appear by connecting to internet, making a google account and samsung account, and fully completing the setup (no more "finish setting up your phone" notification)
Hope it works for you! there might be some waiting period as I did this over several weeks of playing around with it.

if you want to remove that finish setting up notification, just go to notification info then app info and disable that app, it's redundant anyways

I had the exact same problem with my SM-A505W! I looked everywhere and could not find anything. Eventually, I found a couple of things relating to a bug where you either had to plug in the USB-C earbuds that came with the phone or plug it into one of your computer's USB 2.0 ports. I did the latter.
This is what I did. First off ensured my phone was just like the one noted above by noobynoob7. Next I plugged my phone into a USB 2.0 port on my laptop. At this point I heard my phone connect and noted that the screen showed me my phone was charging.
***Important*** I pressed the volume up and volume down at the same time; then I pressed the power button, holding all three down simultaneously! At this point my phone immediately went into the familiar download mode with the option to long press the volume up button to unlock the bootloader.
I am about to return a S10e G970F because I can't get past this as well. Button combinations mentioned don't do anything for me, completely lost.
EDIT: Fixed now somehow. Sad that I am now apparently forever stuck on Android 12, even with custom ROMs?

Hey,
I was tinkering with me phone the past days.
I managed to unlock the bootloader on my Realme X2, installed twrp and HavocOs with the COS Vendor.
Everything working fine and well. Then i wanted to back to the stock rom and i installed the stock recovery found in this page with fastboot:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/realme-x2/how-to/to-stock-rom-howto-t4014773
Specifically the following one: "rmx1991-sde20-stock_recovery-c14.zip"
The problem is now that the phone is not booting anymore. It's not responding to volume down and power button to enter bootloader mode.
I only see the first Realme logo and then the screen goes black. When i hold volume button up and the power button, the phone reboots and i see the same Realme logo for a few seconds and after that the screen goes black again..
When i put the phone on the charger the screen stays black.
Thanks guys! I hope someone can help me solve this issue!
Does anyone have any clue what's going on and maybe willing to assist?
Edit 1: so I managed to get in to the bootloader again. When I hold power button and both volume buttons the phone restarts in bootloader mode. It's still unlocked. The strange part is that the phone stays in the bootloader mode for like 20 seconds and then just reboots. Any clues why and how I can prevent that?
I just faced the same trouble, with your hint to boot into fastboot i flashed the twrp.

Can you please describe the process for bootloader unlock of rmx1991
Hi,
I just got a second hand Galaxy Note 10+
And I'm trying to get TWRP up and running on that phone.
I'm havin huge issues with the OEM lock.
I already did a complete reset of the phone with a Sammobile firmware. Flashed it via ODIN. Everything was factory resetted.
Then I did the OEM unlock in the developer options. Rebooted. And it is showing that OEM is unlocked.
Then I tried to flash the TWRP-recovery via ODIN. But it always fails with the same message "Cutom binary(RECOVERY) by OEM lock"
I am no beginner. I already flashed many Samsung phones and have them all unlocked. Please help me with that issue.
OK, I got it working.
I just forgot to reboot directly into Download-mode. I always booted into the original recovery menu and there I selected the "Reboot to bootloader" option.
But the right way to do it is to enable OEM unlock in Dev-options... then turn off the phone... Plug in a data cable(!!!)... and holding Vol up + Vol down
Then you will get asked to unlock the bootloader. Long press Vol up... then short Vol up as a confirmation. Done...
I hope this helps other people having hard times to do that. And: DON'T FORGET THE DATA CABLE.
This is nice, May I know the model of the second hand phone?
hello guys. i have this problem here. so my phone recently got the new ota update to a13 which i thought was cool and all. i noticed today i cannot get into fastboot using adb. the vol- and power button combo is also not working in switched off state. anyone know of a fix?
thing is that the phone kinda gets into bootloader and then starts into rui in a second. i cant access the bootloader menu anyhow
I have tried this in multiple computers, including a linux system but no luck
vol- and power is for recovery and vol+ an power is not working for me.
