I was wondering if someone could help me. Im trying to use an international ROM as my daily. The ROM flashed and works perfectly over wifi. What I need is a sprint csc file to use outside wifi. I would do it myself but lack the experience. Any assistance would be much appreciated. Thanks..

Hi !
After doing a lot of reading, I have not seen any way to activate the wifi calling on the Telus/Koodo T989D.
The file android.software.sip.voip.ori is present in the phone. However, the menu is not showing up.
Is there anybody here that has succesfully modified the stock rom to have the wifi calling running ?

Yeah, neither koodo or Telus support wifi calling. As far as I know there are no Canadian carriers who support it unfortunately.

Help please! Noob here, can anyone tell me if flashing The People's Rom, for the Sprint GS3, on the SGH-I747, AT&T GS3, works 100%? Will the phone and mobile data work more specifically? If not are there any tips or tweaks to get them working? Thanks in advance for any help.

If you'd like a very expensive paperweight..... Please use the search feature.
GS3 is carrier specific. You may be able to get away with flashing a tmo ROM and changing APNs but a sprint or Verizon ROM would almost definitely kill your device.

Thanks for the reply. I've looked around for a version ported to the sgh-i747 with no luck. I found some noob guides for porting so... I guess I'll get started

Its possible but like he said tmo and at&t are similar but sprint and Verizon can be more tricky.... Just make sure you back up everything you properly. Ask the dev who made it some questions and most will help if you are just doing it for personal use and not for others.

I have an unlocked S3 for T-Mobile and want to use it on AT&T HSPA+ but when I do the phone is always running warm and battery drains. Is the fix for this to install an AT&T stock rom on it? Is that possible? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
You should continue to flash tmo ROMs only. The phone heating up should be an entirely different problem..
What ROM/kernel are you running? Are you over clocked? have you messed with voltage?
Just need a bit more info before we can help you. =)

I am running everything stock from TMobile, and the latest OTA update. I haven't tweaked anything yet. What is a good starting point to fixing this? Thanks again.

Hey guys,
Sorry if this has been asked but I'm in a rush. I have a 4g handset but I dont need the 4g aspect at all. Am I able to put n7100 rooms on and have the phone work fine. Again I dont want the functionality of the 4g.

Everything will work except for the modem.
Sent from the mighty Note II
Just do not select 4g will do. No need to use other roms. Y want to create trouble for your phone?

Don't try this.
It won't work.
Even the way the IMEI is stored is different (backing up the efs partition on a N7105 is mostly pointless for example, but critical on a N7100)
So no do not do this.
Use N7105 ROMs only.
Thank you for the advice. Much appreciated.

I advise you to stick with N7105 ROMs.
Hello, I don't own this device but a friend does. I was wondering if there is any LTE roms with multiwindow either already made or in the works? If so what is best rom for the device? Yes I know that will be answered with opinions which s fine with me, I am just brand new here (S3 section) and looking for input. Thank you in advance!

There are plenty of ROMs with multi window. However, your friend will only be connected to lte if he has the t999L which can connect to lte, if he has the t999 he cannot get lte. Also, if he's not in an area with lte he won't be able to connect to it

Yes he does have the 999l version. Could you be so kind as to push me towards a nice multiwindow rom please.
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda premium
Any touchwiz rom you see should have multi window. Almost all are up to date as far as I know. Just look for UVDMD5 or just MD5.

That's terrific thank you. Does deviant development do anything with the s3?
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda premium
Oh and they are all T999 roms but will work on the T999L. If wifi doesnt work let me know and ill tell you what to do.
Just stay away from the firmware and modems in case you dont know.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
That's excellent thank you! Wait. .. stay away from firmware, isn't that what I'll be changing?
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda premium
When we refer to firmware its generally the Odin flashable stuff. Official from Samsung.
But theres also a recovery flashable In the development section that has all those underlying parts of the firmware. (Bootloader, modem, rpm, tz. Each on its own partition)
If you stick to just roms and kernels you ought to be just fine.

Ok, now I understand. I do have Odin experience. I agree with you. Because I'm not familiar and have zero experience withthat device. What does work in my favor though is that most of these Samsung device are treated and dealt with in the exact same fashion.
