Ok... so I'm not a n00b and I know what I'm doing, I just don't exactly know how to recover from this. I think the only time I've ever had this problem was a hardware issue with my Evo4G.
I flashed my nightly for 9/6/13 CM10.2 and now it won't boot to recovery or Rom. Both won't get past the splash screen. Download loads fine. It says I have custom binary and one flash on the flash counter (I use Triangle Away).
Once I can get into recovery, I should be ok... just need to get there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Whell maybe you can adb into recovery from a computer or if you cant figure that out just odin back to stock and start over
If you like my work or I have helped you press thanks

It is a known issue that that nightly doesn't boot. Just put a ROM or working nightly on your sdcard (if you have one) and just flash it over or clean flash. Your choice. As long as you can get into recovery, no big deal.

Hey guys,
I just got my phone back from repair (broken power button) and I want to get back onto CM10. I went about my usual flashing business, flashing the CWM 5.0.27 ODIN tar, then I usually flash a CM ROM to install root and change my target from SGH-T989D to SGH-T989. That enables me to install GooManager and flash TWRP. Unfortunately, my phone was stuck at the CM splash screen for a good 10 minutes, after having installed sk8erwitskill's CWM Touch (latest version, 1/11/2013) so I tried a reflash and it didn't work. I then reflashed CWM 5.0.27 and flash from there, and it still got stuck at the splash screen. I then went back into Download Mode, launched ODIN, and proceeded to flash the stock Telus tar to begin from scratch.. This is where my issues lies. Usually the Tar will take a little while, but slowly the progress bar moves along. This time though, it isn't moving:

I know that you aren't supposed to pull the battery or unplug the phone during Odin flashes, but I don't think it's even doing anything anymore..
What are my options?
TIA!
Nevermind, I did the riskiest possible thing and I pulled the plug, and tried on another computer. Way too stressful!!
Mods, please delete, thanks!
When I was first unlocking/rooting I had some issues when it came to installing a recovery. I wanted twrp but what happened is that after installing I was unable to boot into it. I flashed it multiple times and it seemed to write, but I could not boot into it. So I tried cwm and was able to get into of the first time. I don't have an issue with cwm, its just with the bottoms on the n7 it makes it harder to use. I want a touch recovery but don't see a working cwm touch yet. What do I have to do to get twrp installed correctly?

Another issue is wherever cwm installed itself isn't the usual place. My backups are not on my SD as normal. Instead they are @ :
Is there any way to fix this without going back to stock or losing data?
Thanks

You should just be able to flash the twrp.img file from a command prompt. It will replace your CWR completely. Look in the general section for a post on unlocking/rooting/recovery it's pretty strait forward.

Can anyone assist me since trying to flash crawrj rom my phone is stuck in a bootloop.( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2241930 )It was stock deodexded. I used TWRP to do so.While doing so I was getting e:error, unable to mount /preload etc.I have a screenshot below.Since then I tried flashing multiple roms.I used billard412 stock no data options.I used MC2,MA7,LJC.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2086769
Also tried using rwilco412 one click method
SPH-L900_MC2_1090526_Rooted_Nodata.exe
SPH-L900_MA7_Rooted_Nodata.exe
Even after using these roms phone is still stuck on bootloop I think its a twrp issue or corruption issue with data files after researching. Can anyone assist me,Last option would be a full stock restore I was trying to keep my internal data storage(Pics, apps, etc)

thank you for the quick reply I also tried that I forgot to mention that.I saw someone post that in billard412 thread but it results in the same thing. It does not give me any errors and it tells me sucessful but when i reboot it goes into bootloop again
So, I attempted to install Cyanogenmod via the installer, it didn't work. So manually, I went and looked up a tutorial and it said to install TWRP because cyanogen wasn't working for me. I installed that and I booted into recovery. It opened CWM, weird. So I try to start the phone, it boots into TWRP. eventually I attempt to install Cyanogen to see where it gets me, I install it and when I boot it does nothing. you see samsung logo then blackness. I am assuming because TWRP didn't get removed from it. I can still access recovery and download mode. What to do next Also flashing with odin did not fix it.
Flash a different ROM in recovery or the stock tar with Odin. Those are your only options. I also highly recommend Philz Recovery.

Do you think that it's TWRP stopping it from starting?
I just unrooted my S3 to be able to update to the stock 4.4 rom using QBKings method. However, after doing this I went into the stock recovery just to make sure it was there and all and on the screen is a dead android with a red triangle. I did a quick google search but can't find anything about this.
What's causing the dead android symbol? The phone boots fine and other than that symbol the stock recovery seems to work so i don't understand why it's there.
Thanks in advance, I know this is a now outdated device but I still love it and want to figure out what's going on.
