One X sounds like I'm on train while on phone - HTC One X

Whenever I am on the phone, people report that I sound like I'm on the train. I am not.
Any resolutions?

There's no solution, hardware issue isn't fixable

You can replace speaker but that is risky.

There's nothing wrong with my speaker - it's the microphone. The person on the other side hears as if I am on the train - I cannot hear it.

Speaker hiss then clicks off, like a CB??

Hey guys,
Wanted to know if anyone is having an issue with Gnex speaker.
When the speaker makes a sound, as in locks, key tap, volume up down sound, anything, it hisses for a couple of seconds then like cuts out with a CB like noise. Soooo annoying!!!
Cheers is advance. = )
Yes this is annoying. It happens to everyone with sounds enabled.

You just aren't noticing it. Play a sound with your head up to the speaker and when the sound stops, you will hear a VERY FAINT hiss and then pop.
It's been noted by many users on the google bugs forum. It's annoying.
I assumed it was just really bad recordings? I was going to pull and re-sample my ringtone and SMS tones to see if I could fix it, might not be worth the effort if it's the phone.
So its normal?? Really?
Geez, that's a bummer, pretty annoying and very, I dunno, cheap. = (
I was hoping it was just me. So it could indeed be fixed with software?
I thought it might of been the hardware. = / Good and bad news in a way. So there's nothing we can do atm is there?
Thanks guys.
I gave friend also who has a Gnex and his has no noise like this at all. It's sweet.
This is strange.

Was he using a custom rom?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
No that's the confusing part. I have another thread asking about firmware updates aswell...not going to bring that into this but he's on 4.0.3....isn't the latest 4.0.2?
Anyway, so your thinking if you wanted to you could change roms and it would get rid of that noise?
ive noticed ive ran into this issue only when using volume+
Oh really?
Nah I have it just straight out of the box.
I just got a replacement Gnex and its still doing this f'king noise!!! Its so annoying!! What can I do??

Digital to Analogue Converter.
Every model at best buy had this problem so we're not alone. There was a thread somewhere about manipulating the audio flinger. Mine is only noticeable in dead silence.

Yeah same. Its not that bad I spose but when I hear it I cringe a little. Haha.
So there is a way to fix it? I'd have to root wouldn't I....
What builds do you guys have?
Could you post? I'm doing a little brainstorming here and if its the build, I'm gonna change!! Haha.
Thanks I'm advance. = )
Do any of you actually realize that every speaker on the planet does this?
Apply power to speaker, it will hiss. Cut power from speaker, it will pop.
And seriously, why are any of you putting your ear up to the speaker port anyways? You do realize you must look like fools...

Phone Call Audio Doesn't Work with Google Vehicle Mount

Phone call audio is played through the phone speaker, not sent through the audio out.
This was the reasons that I bought this EXPENSIVE car dock.
Do you have any ideas how to resolve this issue?

I read where a guy made it work using some sort of VoIP app but it sounded like a big pita. I am 99.9% sure you are out of luck as I have this dock and have never had the phone call audio come out of the dock, nor has anyone else that I have read.

You can get phone audio out via Bluetooth. Works for me.

Still I have this issue. I am pretty sure I am not the only one.
Please let me know
This is a joke. This was one of the reasons for buying this piece of crap. It works with Viber, though.

Speakers making a clicking sound

First when got the phone thought was because the camera cause that's what I tried first
but nopes
now every single sound that plays there's a clicking sound.
Is there anyway to solve this?
This phone belongs to my cuz, and my friend got hers the same time but was a ATT model and no sound. But I'm guessing it's maybe hardware, hoping it's not
thanks

Are you completely stock and within the return period?
Sent from my HTC6500LVW using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
A lot of people have been having this issue especially on 4.4. Some say its 4.4's fault but I think its a hardware issue...make sure you're completely stock and try a factory reset after backing everything up...if that doesn't help its a hardware issue and Verizon will replace it no problem. If its not within the 14 day new return policy you're going to get a refurbished phone back but either way they'll definitely send you a new one.

For the hell of it, have you turned off "BEATS" to see if the the clicking continues? If it stops, then it's a software problem. If it doesn't then it's most likely hardware. Regardless, returning the phone sounds like the best bet.
Settings/sound /touch sounds make sure that is unchecked

Virate Issues

I know this has been mentioned before, but it is to the point now where I'm thinking about giving up entirely on my ONE.
Im now on my third replacement device, all three have had the rattling noise whenever the vibrate is activated. So frustrating..
How is everyone else dealing with this? or are there really only a few devices with this issue and i'm just unlucky??
Sounds normal

I'm now on my third in a row where anytime the vibrate is activtaed it sounds as if something is loose internally and rattles... Sounds like its near the camera lens. Im thinking about giving up on this phone and trying the G2.

Does this occur regardless if it's on a hard surface, soft surface or in your hand? I'm guessing so, but just wanted to be sure.

YES, surface doesnt change it, even positon of the device (ie. upright, horizontally etc.) could this really just be a fluke? 3 devices in a row like this??

I had never heard of the problem before so that's why I asked...it's super strange you've had the issue on 3 different devices.
Sent from my HTC6500LVW using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
If something is loose in the phone then it would rattle just from shaking it. Maybe try to find someone else that has a one and listen to how theirs sounds when the vibrate goes off. My suggestion would to be just turn it off but if you're rooted and s off then a custom kernel can be used to turn the vibrate strength down and maybe lessen this "noise".

NO, they "fixed" it. Reported to have replaced the earpiece/headphone jack assembly, and also replaced the power button. Oh, and I got a new stylus!
...but the earpiece still sounds like crap.
:crying:
Oh, I'm running 4.3 stock. I already went through all the settings to try different things. Like I said, external speaker sound great.

New phone arrived, sound is better.
So YES. You CAN return a Note 2 for bad call quality.
IF you have insurance.
