Phone call audio is played through the phone speaker, not sent through the audio out.
This was the reasons that I bought this EXPENSIVE car dock.
Do you have any ideas how to resolve this issue?

I read where a guy made it work using some sort of VoIP app but it sounded like a big pita. I am 99.9% sure you are out of luck as I have this dock and have never had the phone call audio come out of the dock, nor has anyone else that I have read.

You can get phone audio out via Bluetooth. Works for me.

How do you do that?

Still I have this issue. I am pretty sure I am not the only one.
Please let me know
This is a joke. This was one of the reasons for buying this piece of crap. It works with Viber, though.

Is there some way you can have two sets of Bluetooth earphones connected to audio simultaneously? I'd like to listen together with my girlfriend when we take a walk.

Appreciate the kind advice, sometimes we like to talk about music, hence the desire to listen simultaneously. Speakers are not a good option in the environment where we walk, her expiry date hasn't been to approach yet so I'll keep her for a while longer. I'm thinking that there are lots of situations that woul benefit from multiple BT connections, I can have s keyboard and speakers connected simultaneously do why not two sets of speakers?

I forgot I've been running on winter tyres throughout the summer. Anyway, would really like to know if there's such a possibility.

Lol, I can always rely on xda for a chuckle
But sadly no, I scoured the Internet for similar help last week, and it's impossible, although not sure why.
The only option is to stick with wires via a splitter, or.... Belkin I believe have an adapter which goes into the headphone socket and has two bluetooth transmitters on the other end.
But apart from those clunky solutions, there's no way. Perhaps a Dev can explain why. Personally a software fix which allowed sound via both the socket and blue tooth would do it for me, but again it doesn't seem possible.

maybe its possible if you connect a bluetooth adapter to otg, and the otg identifies the bluetooth adapter and allows you to connect another bluetooth peripheral.
maybe a miccus mini jack tx is what you need. Saw this bluetooth device that plugs in the headphone jack and transmits wirelessly to a bluetooth headset. THis way you can transmit calls to your bluetooth headset and the music to the miccus jack.
I have a belking wired splitter, it works well, I bought it from my local asda.

okay I just have 1 little problem. Whenever I put my sound volume max like listening to a song on youtube or if im talking to someone on the phone using speakers. It sounds like its going to break. does anyone have that problem?
I do.. its especially bad when hooked up to my fm transmitter. Im sure its just software related though.

A speaker cracking is in no way software related. It is related to the horrible quality of the speaker.

I don't have that issue...I would take it back for an exchange. Sounds like a defective speaker.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 2
Its the audio chip within the Note 2. ALL Note 2s do this so replacing it wont do much. Look it up for yourself. Its most noticeable at max volumes even with earphones in.

Mine sound fine to me over speaker or headphones.
Mine sounds so bad. I've never hear a speaker on a phone that sounds this bad but I traded my Nexus 4 for this Note 2 and the speaker isnt a "huge" deal to me. I wounder if i replace it how long it will last until it blows again... Anyone know if the speaker is under warranty?
I have two sets of headsets. Both are Skullcandy but different models. They both worked on my Galaxy Nexus & Evo LTE.
The sound works fine. The Mic doesn't. Plus, if they are plugged into the phone and someone calls I can hear them. They cannot hear me through the phone or Mic because it disables the phones mic when they are plugged in.
The headset Mic works for recording sound with apps off the market. The only time the Mic doesn't work is for phone calls.
Is there a fix? Does anyone else have this problem? The phone didn't come with a headset in the box so if LG has done proprietary headset stuff they didn't have a way to eleviate it.
Thanks

I have skull candy ear buds I'm sure basically the same set and while I don't have the exact problem, they are problematic. They pick up so much background noise it's near impossible to hear me.
I too am interested in a fix for this.

Hold down the center button on the headphone while you plug it into the phone.
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda premium
Well, that sure did the trick. How the hell did you figure that out? For two months I have been have headset issues that no one could help with.
I wonder why holding the button fixes it?
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda premium
I had the same issue, and through multiple trials and errors, I finally got it to work. However, what's weird is that I have to do this trick for some phones, but not others like my Epic 4G.

never in my life would I have thought to do this. ever.
Thanks for the tip!
There is a known issue with headsets designed for apple products where the mic doesn't work. I had the same issue with mine using iPhone 5 earphones. I'm not sure if it's a hardware or software limitation, or if they plan on fixing it. As soon as I find out, I'll be sure to post it.
I can confirm that holding down the center button on the headphones works for Bose MIE2i as well. Awesome!

There's nothing wrong with my speaker - it's the microphone. The person on the other side hears as if I am on the train - I cannot hear it.
I just picked the phone up and like it so far. However, when I plug my aux cable into it to play my music and calls through my car stereo, the microphone mutes. I'm coming from a Note ll from t-mo and didn't have this issue. The cable is a high quality monster.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know this has been an issue of some sort or another for others but I haven't been able to find a fix so far, and I've run out of ideas.
Thank you everyone.

Idk if it's just me but I've always seen this functionality be the case. I am fairly certain it was the case with my note 2 (tmobile) and definitely the case with my s3 (tmobile).
Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
Not sure if I follow correctly, but I use my Note 3 (and did use my Note 2 as well as my previous Galaxy S's) often just plugged into my car stereo with a regular mini-jack AUX cable and the microphone seems to work just fine, since people can hear me without a problem.
As it turns out, that wasn't my only sound issue a couple of days later. My phone also decided it would mute the system volume and lock the slider for some unknown reason. I used a Samsung tech support chat and had to wipe the cache in the system recovery menu. Both issues seem to be solved for now. Thank you for your help. xda is an invaluable resource.
