Any good custom ROM for this phone?
Yeah, its strange but all I could find are the original Huawei stocks and some Apple-like themed, in fact, still the original stock-based ROMs.
Btw, is someone able to provide some Sony S series like designs? Something....just more simple.
There hasn't been a ton of development for the P6 yet. Partially I think it's the proprietary chipset Huawei used, and also I think it is because there isn't an easy way to unlock the bootloader. MIUI is decent so far, but that's about it for custom ROMs

I would love to try a cm mod on my p6. I was hoping by the time kit kat came out there would be something but so far nothing special..

What? I can say that Surdu_Petru here in XDA managed to flash CyanogenMod 10.1 on his P6, but its stuck on boot logo. If / when he gets it booted succesfully, he has to fix some driver issues, and then we can use CM on our device !

No. Kernels are coming with ability to boot KK on 4.2.2 bootstack. And with 4.2.2 bootstack you are able to use recovery just as now.

Well does this solve the lag on custom 4.4.2 ROMs(basically all of them like CM etc)? The lag that seems like low ram available when we have over 1gb of ram and random processes get killed that kinda stuff.

Is there any side effects to running KK on the job bootstack or does it run without any hiccups or quirks?

That's not official. Its a fan created version.
atleast if the huawei releases kernel for 4.4.2 we can use the p6 kk roms in our HAM

I so know what you are talking about! I'm replacing my mate with an old Samsung Galaxy Note II (the only decent and properly supported phablet I can afford right now). It is an old phone, with only a 5.5" screen, but it still feels like a giant leap forward as Samsung claims they will be releasing 4.4.2 for it (along with the old SIII) in the next couple of months! And there are already custom KitKat roms.
Android 4.3 and 4.4 are now released the roms are in initial stage and therefore buggy. Both the roms are developed by legendary

the latest available cm11 build by oliver and I tried the gapps on page and I tried all the gapps on page 3/4 of the forum . which gapps do you recommend?

That happens in any CM10, 10.1 ROM. It's not a bug but a cyanogenmod feature I think.

Hey guys, I've been testing the last build Olivier uploaded (2/06) and I can't get Wifi to work. I've reinstalled the rom but nothing changed. I was wondering if anyone has had the same issue?
Update: It was a problem related to the new kernel, Olivier has already fixed it.

Does bluetooth work in any version KitKat?
ABOUTThis is a GUI to install the TWRP (Jellybean and Kitkat) for the P6, as well as to revert back to stock recovery written in C#. Some options are to install boot images. There is also option to unlock bootloader, but I'm not very sure that it works. I was quiet for quite a while since my last release of TWRP CMD Installer, working on this.

Exactly! I want to add those features, just not really sure how to add them to my program.
Root is not as easy as adb push superuser.apk, is it? I could adb sideload the superuser.zip but I don't feel that is automated.
As for installing drivers I think I might be able to try and add it.
For either of these functions, if any of you guys have an idea PM me.

For the root i think you should look how TWRP roots a firmware and than do that via fastboot

I haven't made any new releases lately, really wish I could but I'm really busy.
I'm also waiting for Huawei to finalize the kitkat updates.
There's been B506, B507, B510, B511 released only in the past two months!
I think I'm going to wait for Huawei to get to a stable ROM for me to release the next update.
If you guys really need me to make a update for a certain version (B510, B511 or support for Windows XP) then PM me or submit your request in the request section and I'll try to see if I can do some changes.
Why does this install 2.7.0.0? 2.7.1.0 has been out quite a while now..

Hey I just discovered this thread and I gotta say that I didn't expected to see many users that want this ROM so be sure that when I will have more free time I will prepare a build also for you guys, but I'm telling you from now that the build will be based on KK and not on Lollipop because I need more time and test all the Xperia Apps already ported to see If they are working correctly also on Lollipop.

Lollipop yet has a long way to come to become a daily, so I think we can deal with that.
Totally in for a native-feeling Xperia experience over AOSP or Touchwiz any time.

I just wanted update you with my latest news...
As you can see in the image the ROM is almost ready but it needs some more adjustments till the release date....
Also I skipped KK and I will provide you also directly LP instead of KK
I wanted also to mention that some apps are not working good as on KK so I'm need to remove them temporally
