1) Download ES File Explorer
2) Open ES File Explorer and make a folder anywhere you desire, better on extcard
3) Put all your vids inside the folder
4) Open the folder and on the lower left corner tap on "+NEW"
5) Select file and name it .nomedia
Don't worry if the file doesn't show inside the folder, as files that start with "." is hidden
How it works? As you can tell from the file's name, it tells the phone that there's no video or picture inside the folder. Correct me if I'm wrong @bunglebp

Exactly as above or use Quickpic and hide folder both work very well
Even you can hide folder by renaming with "." before folder name.
Example- if you want to hide folder named "video" Just add"." before folder name ".video".
This will hide your folder.

My concern is not to hide..just to exclude from gallery. Coz we have a dedicated app for videos.

Which app are you using for videos?
If you are using MX player? Then there is option to show hidden videos in player.
Only option is to hide videos by renaming if you want to use stock gallery.

Using Astro file manager, create a folder and name it .nomedia (complete with the dot before the word nomedia). That's it. I hope this helps.

You can use the built in file manager or es file explorer to view the folders, but. I been searching everywhere for the apk mentioned on my system/app folder and on all directories on my phone and there's no secmms.apk or secmms.odex.

It is a camera app that looks similar like the android 4.2 camera and it comes with the 4.2 gallery and all its editing options
But if you want to use it as a system app you will to extract some lib's from the apk and put them into system/lib to make it work
