I have extracted all of the UI sounds, alarms, notifications, and ringtones out of the new Android 4.1 build for the Galaxy Nexus. Feel free to use these as you see fit. Enjoy!

Try root explorer copy the files after extraction from new folder and paste it in system media folder merge is what I did

strange zip file, latest version of 7-zip was unable to extract the ogg files, but winrar was able to

Thanks Mate. will this work with stock rom + Rooted ?

Thanks mate

This will work with stock ROM or any other ROM. To use, merge the files as suggested above.

I extracted the files from each folder and using root explorer I moved them to system/media/audio/alarms,notifications and ringtone folders but when I go to settings>sound>device ringtone>choose android system, I still get only the default choices. The new ones are not there.
I have cf root 6.3 and stock rom LF6.

Did you set permissions rw-r-r?
And there is another method just create a media folder with all these files in your sd card

Yes looks like by default all files are set to rw-r-r. Should I be replacing the stock files with these?coz what im doing is im adding the new ones with the stock ones.

Easiest way for me is to download the rom to your computer and open it up (I use 7zip to do this) then go in to the system apps and delete which ever one you want. You can also use root explorer from the play store to delete system apps.

Just use root explorer from the market then. You have to pay for it but it is well worth the money.

None.
But you can extract launcher from leaked sg3 and push it to your sg2. Not sure if the launcher supports gb but I'm on ics and I love it so far.

Go here and download the file
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1666388
Extract the files from system and lib folder and Unzip and push to system/lib and system/app and change the permission to rw-r-r (only for the apk not the lib file)
restart, now you should have the new launcher.
make sure to backup before you do anything this will save you time if something went wrong.

Siii audio files [2/7/2012]

Link: http://www.mediafire.com/?6829abcsupt2qbh
This is not my project it is a system dump.
Just copy the ogg files from audio/ui to system/audio/ui. I recomend doing these with es file explorer since is the easiest way to copy those files.
Tested on stock ddkq8.
Note: this is a flashable zip for SII. Do not flas it from cwm.

Google Edition Boot Animation

Was browsing the web and i found this here: http://www.droid-life.com/2013/06/26/google-play-edition-boot-animation-and-sunbeam-live-wallpaper-available-for-download/
Works with VANIR 4.3.1 ROM. May work with all AOSP based ROMs
Just download the attachment and push it to /System/media via adb push OR U can
1.Use Root explorer or ES File explorer and copy the file to system/media (make sure you mount /system writable)
2.Set permissions to rw-r-r
3.Reboot and enjoy the boot animation
Here is flashable zip link: http://d-h.st/ehr thanks to @ballshanglow for the zip
Sweet! Looks really good.
Thanks!
This works perfectly with CM 10.2. So does the Google Experience Launcher that has been pulled out of the N5.
Having both almost gives this device a GE ROM!

Its the animation. Did u set permissions correctly?
Here is what I did:
1.Download the boot animation.
2.opened file manager.
3.click on settings and check root explorer and mount systems folders as rewritable.
4.move the animation file zip to system/media and replace.
Now I have no boot animation.

Deoxeod

How do i deox my phone??? I want to install the honami framework seems like I need to do that first
Sent from my LT26i using xda app-developers app
It is easier for you to flash pre-deodexed firmware.
Look in dev section, im on phone so i cant link you.
Sent from my LT26i using xda app-developers app
I read somewhere that when you use a file explorer like esfile explorer, to browse to system\apps and you can only see apk files..then you have a deodexed rom. If you see other files such as odex and the apk files then your rom is odexed.
Hope this helps.
