Google Edition Boot Animation - LG Optimus G Pro

Was browsing the web and i found this here: http://www.droid-life.com/2013/06/26/google-play-edition-boot-animation-and-sunbeam-live-wallpaper-available-for-download/
Works with VANIR 4.3.1 ROM. May work with all AOSP based ROMs
Just download the attachment and push it to /System/media via adb push OR U can
1.Use Root explorer or ES File explorer and copy the file to system/media (make sure you mount /system writable)
2.Set permissions to rw-r-r
3.Reboot and enjoy the boot animation
Here is flashable zip link: http://d-h.st/ehr thanks to @ballshanglow for the zip

Sweet! Looks really good.
Thanks!

This works perfectly with CM 10.2. So does the Google Experience Launcher that has been pulled out of the N5.
Having both almost gives this device a GE ROM!

Its the animation. Did u set permissions correctly?

Here is what I did:
1.Download the boot animation.
2.opened file manager.
3.click on settings and check root explorer and mount systems folders as rewritable.
4.move the animation file zip to system/media and replace.
Now I have no boot animation.

First of all, the file must be renamed to bootanimation.zip. You failed to mention that. Second of all, pushing it to the system/media folder doesn't require changing permissions because it's replacing a file that already had the necessary permissions. Third... It doesn't work.

Try to find the original bootanimation.zip place, then replace it with bootanimation that you want..

thats an custom rom.
you can also just install a custom kernel, on your current rom, wich can read and show bootanimation.zip, as the normal samsung kernel doesn't.

Try this,
copy into system/app folder with es file explorer or root explorer, gotta make the folder r/w before you paste it, thus overwriting the pre-existing file... Reboot, profit...
Always have a good nandroid, just in case..

[BOOT ANIMATION] Cyanogenmod boot animation - NEW LOGO

Hey guys,
This is a boot animation with the new Cyanogenmod logo.
480x800 pixels.
I made 2 boot animations:
DOWNLOAD 1 HERE: https://www.dropbox.com/s/na3jf2r0lfkkwbc/bootanimation.zip
DOWNLOAD 2 HERE: https://www.dropbox.com/s/kodikwidsqtqz2y/bootanimation 2.zip
Previews in attachments. (first 4 pictures are boot animation 1 and other 4 are boot animation 2)
It's NOT a flashable zip! You have to replace it in the system/media bootanimation.zip. Then set permissions rw-r-r or 644.
Hit thanks! :good:

If you did everything right it must work. Delete (or copy it to sdcard) your booanimation.zip from system/media, move or copy the new one then give permissions like in the attached pic & reboot to take effect.
