Hi Guys,
Few days back I took a contract from T-mobile UK and want to unlock it. I thought from the forums easily I can follow the procedure and unlock my phone but it is not happening. I'm not getting the screen of service mode where i can see UMTS so that I can follow the other steps. Can anybody please tell the code to enter the service mode window so that i can try myself. It will be a real help if you can help me otherwise I'm totally screwed up.

I Bought an unlock code for the I317 an it keep saying unlock code doesn`t work. I even tried the ways to do it on youtube. Can someone let me know what this issue is. Its for At&t an im trying to unlock it for tmobile. Help Please
That means your code ids A bad. Or your phone was compromised, ie your account staus with at&t is a no go. Search for the free unlock here in the help section its really easy to do all you need is a pc odin and the samsung drivers. Revert to firmware 4.1.1 and unlock via dialer code.
Galxy Note II "White"
I've had my Cap Glide for about a year now and when I got it, I called AT&T and got an unlock code, so I could use it on T-Mobile. A few days ago, something happened and the phone was asking for an unlock code again. I called AT&T to get another code, but they don't do it over the phone anymore. Now it's done through their "unlock portal" website, which denied me twice to get another code.
I have looked through through XDA for ways to unlock it on my own, but without much success. Does anyone know of a way for me to unlock the phone simply for network use? The phone is not rooted or modified in any way.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Previously I purchased a samsung galaxy note 2 from T mobile and I factory unlocked it by following instructions online with service menu and so on.
But now I've purchased this galaxy s4 from Globe carrier in the Philippines and I cant do the same thing as I did with my note 2 before.
I cant access service menu when I type *#0011# I cant go back from service mode menu and cant access any options.
I saw a lot of instances of this with different carriers but I havent found a solution yet.
My questions:
1. Is it possible to flash a firmware from a different carrier to my i9505 globe tel locked? Im scared to brick my phone so I havent tried yet.
2. If my above question is possible, will I be able to access service menu by then?
3. Is it possible to unlock phone by rooting?

Ok so in order to do this, you must replace your current sim card with your new carriers sim card. Then, call your carrier and ask for an unlocking code when you are prompted to the unlock code screen. Then just tap okay and your Samsung S4 should be unlocked! Good luck. Thumbs this up if it helped
hey guys, this is my first post on xda. Ive owned almost every galaxy phone in the series since the S2 and every time i have any questions, i refer to your site to search for an answer. i have found my solution every single time until now. i have tried searching left and right and feel like i have been so close to solving my problem then i find a new problem. heres my situation.
i have a note 2 from US cellular in the US which is CDMA. im traveling to Paris (currently in paris now) and i bought a new Note 2 that runs on GSM. now my problem is that the phone is carrier locked to a korean phone company. I posted this in the ATT section because i could not find a section for my phone model and many of my close solutions referred to using ATT firmwares so i felt this was the closest section.
my phone info:
Galaxy note 2
model: SHV-E250S
Android version: 4.1.2
Device status: normal (unrooted) (i have my US cellular note 2 rooted through one button method and can probably do that to this phone as well if needed, so if you have a solution that contains root access please know i can still go that route!)
so to carrier unlock this phone i read about this easy method:
Step 1: On your Galaxy Note II, launch the phone app and press these keys:
*#197328640#
Step 2: From the Main Menu, navigate to [1] UMTS > [1]Debug Screen > [8] Phone Control > [6] Network Lock > Options.
Step 3: In the Options screen, choose [3] Perso SHA256 OFF. Wait for 30 seconds after making this selection.
Step 4: Go back one step by pressing the menu key, and then back once. You should now again be in [6] Network Lock
Step 5: Here, now choose [4]NW Lock NV Data INITIALLIZ. Wait for one minute after making the choice.
Step 6: After a minute has passed, reboot your Galaxy Note II.
but my problem is that when i enter that first code i get this message: "connection problem or invalid MMI code."
so i searched how to resolve that. i found some threads saying that i need to downgrade my firmware to 4.1.1 because 4.1.2 blocks this on some phones. so i looked into downgrading my firmware. Went to samsung-updates and entered my device model and they only had 4.1.2 firmwares. i didnt try an ATT firmware because im not confident it will work so if i can get assurance that it will ill try that route.
from there i also googled my model and firmware 4.1.1 and found nothing.
somewhere in all this i also was told to change my csc as well. I tried doing that with the code provided online and received the same error message. i would like to change the csc so it runs on UK csc as well.
sorry if anything is confusing, im not a huge tech guy when it comes to phones, but i try. I dont know how to flash roms or anything, only reason i ever rooted a phone was to use free tethering.
in conclusion, i just simply want to carrier unlock this korean note 2.
any help is appreciated as i would like to get a phone plan here in france asap but i want to make sure this phone is going to work. I dont even know how to check if its carrier unlocked after i do succeed in this. i have access to a tmobile sim card if needed to check.

Hi all, I've been reading tons of threads and I am still having some difficulties with this phone. I am not in the US, I got this phone from a coworker that was going to throw it away and brought it with me to south america to give it to my friends mom who has no money, its and old phone but the one she has is even crappier ,I thought I would be able to just pop the SIM and get it going but nope.
If anyone could point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it, I have a few more days before I go back home and I would love to be able to leave this working for her.
Let me put you up to speed:
-Phone is running Android 4.3
-Phone was rooted using Odin, has SU and CWM
-Followed thread here to SIm unlock: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2023709 but #4 option is not present on 4.3
-I tried downgrading to 4.1.2 custom root666 to see if I could get #4 but to no avail since you cannot from this 4.3 version
-About to follow this thread :https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=48012926&postcount=8
but not sure if correct for what I want to do.
No more ideas, please help!
The phone can only be unlocked used an unlock code. Try contacting T-Mobile for a free unlock code or buy a code from eBay.
i'm with the same problem. i bought an sgh-i747 and after two months it bricked, so i replace the logical card (i don't remember how to say it in English, lol.) and boom!!! now i have a t999 and it doesn't work with movistar. (i'm from Venezuela)
but well, i've been reading posts about unlocking the phone and every one of them only works in JB 4.1.x. i don't know if i could unlock it by the downgrade process and i'm scared of getting the phone bricked again.
