Wireless Root? - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

Is there a method I'm overlooking? Have an ATT S3 with a bad usb port...tired of TW. Framaroot unfortunately doesn't support the ATT variant. Anyone come across another method to obtain root without a usb connection?
Before anyone asks why I don't just have it fixed, local shop said it usually fails when they do it and won't guarantee it will work...but they'll take my $40 to try. haha
Thanks in advance.

Rooting Samsung SCB-LC11 Verizon Hotspot

Hey! My boyfriend has a pawn shop and bought a Verizon Jetpack from someone. They said it was "chipped" so it would work without having a Verizon plan. So far he has had this thing for a few months and its still working. However, it has a regular SIM card in it.
What I am ultimately wondering is, he also bought a Samsung SCH-LC11 Verizon Hotspot thinking I'd be able to do the same thing for him. I've rooted my Nook tablet 2 different ways, a few phones etc. So he thought I'd be able to google some magic on this hotspot stuff.
I have searched terms such as rooting, unlocking, chipping, jailbreaking, etc for both devices and can't find a thing. Is someone pulling his leg or is there a way to use a hotspot without a plan? If there is a way could someone tell me how to do so for the Samsung Hotspot???
Thanks guys!!!!!

IMEI repair

HI all,
I am looking for a software for IMEI repair, which would work with the regular micro USB cable. I saw several solutions online from Octupus to NSPro, but it seems to me that you need to get a dongle and since non of these outlets operate in US, I do not want to deal with the overseas vendor, delivering products and services.
I was curious if there is a simple software way to repaiur IMEI number and if there is anyone who has done it on their phone.
Any leads/suggestions are welcome.

Going back to original firmware with odin may fix the imei issues. Have you ever tried it?

Hi,
Yes, I tried Odin, but it cannot recover the IMEI number. But I am adding it to my useful apps.
Get Andromizer of play store to backup and restore when you loose it. Also for USB check this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1804123 I dont know if the s2 is supported but it worth a shot

[Q] Anyone know of a cheap and reliable phone repair service?

I have my phone (SPH-L710) bootloader unlocked, and running an AOSP ROM. Anyway, a while back I destroyed the charging port on my phone. I was hoping I could just upgrade my phone, however I cannot afford to do so at this moment.
Does anyone know of a phone repair service that will not switch my device with a new one (as that would give the possibility of getting a 4.3 official model with Knox), or factory restore it when I send it in? Preferably around ~$60 (or less) for the repair?
I am located in Southeast Michigan, if that helps.

I am in So Cal so my place wont work for you but there may be local branches. I use CPR (Cell Phone Repair) but we were visiting family in Oregon and needed my daughters S3 charge port fixed and I found a place called 3G http://www.yelp.com/biz/3g-mobile-inc-salem who fixed it for $50 or $55 and said they have people send them phones, they fix them and send them back. If you don't have anyplace near you maybe call them.

I just bought a QI charging system, but it's slightly slower than a wired connection. Plus, a wired PC connection is helpful sometimes.

Instead of sending it off, take it to a local repair place, it's a fairly easy job for them to do, usually is under $60. Provided you don't live out in the boonies.

T-mobile ROM on At&t G4? Is it safe?

Is it safe to put a rom from a different carrier on my unlocked phone?
Its a att phone that im using on t-mobile.
no
It's extremely dangerous

I thought that might be the case.
I can't seem to get tethering to work.
I haven't rooted it yet but I think the problem would be that the carrier wants to be able to know if your tethering so they can charge you for it. And it's trying to re-route though an alternative ip that informs att as aposed to the one T-Mobile uses.
I don't think rooting and flashing another att Rom would fix that.
Not sure though. I don't know much about it.

AT&T Note 4 Enable Hotspot Options!

I am in love with my Note 4 and don't want to replace it. I have stock AT&T Note 4 unlocked with all the AT&T apps and etc. and would like to enable hotspot without paying extra premium for that service to AT&T. I am travelling overseas this summer having it is a must for connectivity with my laptop. I have explored in following directions!
First rooting phone and then may find hotspot fix after that (not sure if something exists) but running 5.1.1, I don't think there is root available yet for me? I found several posts upon googling that it's not available. Even if I get it rooted, is there concrete solution to hotspot fix? I don't want to downgrade to 5.0.X? and then root as it's just too much hassle!
OR
Easiest fix right now seems I get rid of this phone and get International version (I believe modeled SM-N910H ?) And that should allow me enable hotspot out of box from settings menu? correct?
Also will TMobile version SM-N910T, if I buy unlocked, will it allow me to enable hotspot? Does TMobile put software restrictions like AT&T? I don't want to buy and resale and all that headache!
Please advice!
Thank you
Not a single reply please help!
Only thing I know you can do on the AT&T version is to get a family share plan on your AT&T service. Tethering is included in those plans, then enabled on the phone with the stock app. I use it without problems on mine.
That's all I've got.
