I had screen protector on my Arc S and i took it off, i was wondering if there is another one, btw it was on when I got my phone, and it was like an ordinary screen protector when I took it off. So my question is, is this scratch resistant glass under it? And do I need another screen protector?
Thanks in advance...

Xperia arc doesn't have scrach resistant glas it has a factory screen protector that comes built in and it pretty hard to remove it,but if you remove that screen protector than you need to put on another one 'cause your screen is gonna get scratched. My built in screen protector was scratched so i removed it but i applied a new one,it's not as god as original but it keeps my phone from scratching.

Hey, I've never used a screen protector on my arc, and though the scratch resistant screen is brilliant, I think I will use a screen protector for future use. What screen protector do you recommend me get from either ebay or amazon? I do not want to pay alot for one but I also do not want a rubbish one haha

There are a lot of screen protectors out there but what I have heard is that Copter and Invisible shield should be nice protectors.
Note, that some protectors comes with a liquid for mounting it. Be really careful not to get any of this liquid into the phone.
I personally don't use any protector but I think it's great that there are a lot of options available on the market today.
If you are living in Europe go to a nearby store where you can buy a voucher for crocfol.de.
15€ for 2 screenprotectors!
I've got one on my screen and it fits perfectly and has no ( not a single one!) Bubbles under the surface.
I really recommend it.

And use search, we have a thread about screen protectors.

Were you ever be able to take it of your screen? I can't get it off... What is the point of a factory placed screenprotector when you cant take it of?
So that means I got two screen protectors on my screen? I think the screen just looks a bit like there is a screen protector, but there isn't.

I took it off, took 5 mins, but when you have a corner it goes off easily.
Yes, you have 2 protectors on the screen.

you can get 2 types gloss and matt, because i use my phone outdoors in the daytime alot the matt version has better anti glare.
the screen doesnt look too dark or loss of quality but you can see very easy in the daytime, got it from local phone shop
ZAGG invisible shield is the best screen protector i've ever seen, and tried on i-phone
Should I buy screen protector for the phone keeping in mind the screen glass couldn't get better than this.

I wouldn't bother. Maybe get a slip case for transporting the phone but the glass isnt gonna scratch under general use.

Hi all,
I have the following concern - am I used to plastic screen protectors, which in most cases reduce the screen quality. I want to try glass but I think that it is possible that the tempered glass screen protector can actually scratch the screen under certain contitions, as most of them are really hard (for example a lot of pressure or chipping of the protector). Any thoughts on the subject? Has anyone experienced scratches from a glass protector under normal use?

I never have. The ones made from SGP will break in a certain way to cause no harm to you nor the phone. I have no clue about the other screen protectors

Theres a thread on the Glasszone. Hypertek is the only person who has received it so far so you should ask him. I should be receiving my yellow glass zone sometime this week so ill post updates on his thread.
Do we still have to use screen protector for this device? The only information I got is that it's oleophobic, but is it scratch resistant as well? Bought this device 2nd hand and it has a screen protector but it's cheap and getting scratches already, I want to remove it but I'm hesitating haha
Stock ROM, custom user.

Yes you need one.
Screen is not scratch resistant

Haven't bothered with a screen protector. Just get a case with a nice lip and place the phone in a pocket that doesn't also have keys and lose change.
If you did get a screen protector, a tempered glass one would pry be the best.

Has anyone figured out a way to increase the screen sensitivity yet? I really like my glass screen protector but sometimes it makes the thing glitchy with my otterbox

I have a glass screen protector and have no issues. What thickness screen protector did you get? I have a .23MM and have no issues. I'm sure you did, but I still need to ask, you did take the screen protector off of the Otterbox right? You aren't going with plastic on glass on glass, right?

I have no issues with a .23mm glass protector, I took the screen protector off the Otterbox, are you using the plastic on glass on glass?

I just ripped the plastic one off the otterbox and kept my glass on there. I don't need the dust protection, just the drop.
Me to but otter box would not fit . so I pulled glass one and called otter box for replacement case
Screen sensitivity decreases a bit after Zagg installed, but it's not bad when using with cheap TPU case. However, it may be frustrating when playing Angry Birds.
I think i found a solution. This app is not designed for this phone but it seems to work none the less.
