I have a glass screen protector and have no issues. What thickness screen protector did you get? I have a .23MM and have no issues. I'm sure you did, but I still need to ask, you did take the screen protector off of the Otterbox right? You aren't going with plastic on glass on glass, right?

I have no issues with a .23mm glass protector, I took the screen protector off the Otterbox, are you using the plastic on glass on glass?

Well I tried with the otter box built on one and glass one. Went back to otter box one cause I need to have something.

I just ripped the plastic one off the otterbox and kept my glass on there. I don't need the dust protection, just the drop.
Me to but otter box would not fit . so I pulled glass one and called otter box for replacement case
Screen sensitivity decreases a bit after Zagg installed, but it's not bad when using with cheap TPU case. However, it may be frustrating when playing Angry Birds.
I think i found a solution. This app is not designed for this phone but it seems to work none the less.

Only down side is they take away the sharpness of the picture. I just run VZW screen covers. I've had this one on since launch day and it still isn't peeling or bubbling.
Um using the seidio protector. Its the only one I have used that hasn't dulled the look. Simple install.

Yea very good. I used the crystal clear one and I'm currently using that anti fingerprint one with the matte finish
Invisashield from zagg. Best screen protector hands down. Had one on my imagio for over a year and put it through all kinds of abuse. Its still on and perfect. Show me another screen cover that you can scratch the **** out of with keys and it won't even phase it. Put one on my TB as soon as I took it out of the box and fully expect it to stay on long past the life of this phone.

I got the crystal clear from steinheil and it is nice. But it has scratches on the protector. Thinking of testing another brand. Something more durable.

How is the matte finish? Does it take away from the image quality of the screen?
Not true my usb charging cable barley touched my screen and scratched it. Sad thing is I'm anal about my phone, tablet, tv, and gaming systems. I take better care of those then I do my girlfriend LOL.

My crystal Steinheil is amazing. Try that.
I hate my Invisashield with the "orangepeel" texture. It also has a kind of tacky-feel to it.
I bought my girlfriend a sonix (by Lenntex) screen protector 2-pack (clear and anti-glare) for her iPhone and they're great! The finish is really hard and super smooth. It feels just like the naked glass. I'm waiting for my Thunderbolt ones to deliver any day now.
I purchased the protectors from Verizon. They work fairly well I have several scratches in the protector but not the screen. After prolonged usage though I can't clean the protector all the way anymore. Going to have to take it off and put on the second one that came with the kit.
Hi guys,
As the topic states, I noticed last week while cleaning my screen I have a scratch around 1 inch on the top left... No idea how it happened. With my S2 I dropped it several times on the floor and it's still clean as new. Any tip to the scratch?
Thanks
You can buy a screen protector which usually fills in the scratch so it's not noticeable and protects against future scratches!

Armor Suit has worked really well for me. If you give it a 5 start rating after purchasing it on Amazon, they usually ship you a free extra protector.

most of the scratches are on the oleophobic coating. You can try this to see if it gets restored.

I say just live with it. In one year will you care? You will get the galaxy s4. Its just a phone. The android OS will outgrow it and when it becomes slow you. I just saw a scratch on my s3 today. I'm not crying about it. My s2 had a scratch too. These screens do scratch I dont care how careful you are. :good:

I have had my phone for about 8 months and never had a screen protector on it.. I can't detect one single scratch..
Same here. I don't like screen protectors. I've had this phone 7-12 months now and while my silver rim has scuffs on it, my screen is immaculate. No hairline scratches. It's absolutely mint. I have an OCD with my device screens though. There's always an LCD screen cleaner and microfiber cloth within arms reach of me. I really, really hate dirty mucked up screens lol

same here, ive had mine just about a year now. the bezel has some nicks in it.. but even a screen protector wont prevent that. I even ditched my case after about a week or so.. its much less bulky then
Yea my silver part is wearing down a little from the case I'm using. I've been debating not using a screen protector. I have one left, i just get tired of them scratching up and dulling the screen. Then on look at my kindle (I know it has gorrila glass) with no case or screen protection and its amazingly clean. And clear. I'm always on the fence about it

I have used screen protectors before for this phone and been without for a while too. And to tell you the truth only when I have a screen protector you can see scratches from everyday use and from my jeans pockets. And when its without I dont see one single scratch
Not bad
I used mine for about a month without a screen protector. I just got Zagg, and I like the feel a lot better.

I've had my Hercules without a protector for near a year. The screen is pristine, no scratches! I love the glass used on this phone. It can get oily but nothing a microfiber cloth can't wipe clean.
I've had the phone since February with no screen protector. Finally dropped it 2 weeks ago, went skidding face down about 3 feet across an asphalt lot. The bezel is scratched up pretty good, but the glass has no scratches at all.
I generally don't use a screen protector but with this phone I decided to. My HTC Glacier I didn't use one and after a year it had no scratches. The reason I did use one with this phone is to retain its value so I can resell and get a better phone when I get sick of it.
Sand scratches the glass so don't think its 100% safe to go without one.
I just put my last screen protector on here. I got a hair scratch down where the hardware keys are. I used to use those cut to fit ones and they would never cover those buttons. Now the one I have is fitted. I probably won't buy any more

I have had mine for 9 or 10 months and the screen looks great, my bezel was dented and such so I tapped of my screen, took a dremel to it and took off the outer coating, now I have an all white s2 with a matte black bezel, with an awesome screen... Pretty bad ass

The purpose of the screen shield?? To protect your original glass.

It is glass , not gorilla glass. So an impact will def break the shield..but thats the whole point of it, to protect your phone's screen

Does it replace the glass in the phone already, if not is there any possible way to do that. Like put a better piece of glass in the phone.

Jesus Christ, it it a screen protector made out of glass. It does not replace anything, you apply it like a regular screen protector BUT IT IS MADE OF GLASS. SMH.
Can anyone comment on how the glass fits with a case? Specifically with the Incipio Silicrylic cases and generic tpu cases that have a lay on table design?

It fits good because it doesnt go all the way to the border of the screen itself
from seidio site :
This product is compatible with our ACTIVE®, ACTIVE® with Metal Kickstand, and ACTIVE® Extended with Metal Kickstand
I tried it with a tpu case and it did work (diztronic)
Update :
Im fully used to it .The screen is holding very good.. feels pretty solid. sensitivity still there and stays very easy to clean.
Light reflection is just like if it was naked.
So far so good

I have a few questions about this protector I was hoping someone could answer:
1. I recall reading about another glass protector and people complaining there was a grid of dots on it. Is this one completely clear or is there any pattern on it?
2. Does it have an oleophobic coating as good as the naked glass? I've currently got a DBA protector on mine and finger grease is both more noticeable and much harder to wipe off than the naked screen.
3. Would this type of case hide or reduce the visibility of scratches already on the screen? The DBA case does that quite well. It just has too many other issues.
4. Does it come in blue?
Thanks!

Yes. I use the Zagg and you need to remove the one o the Otterbox. The screen protector on the Otterbox is attached using a thin bead of silicone similar to the glue used to attach address labels to magazines.
Separate the two Otterbox halves and remove the protector by pushing on a corner of the protector from the outside. Once the corner is loose, slowly peel the protector off, trying to keep the bead of glue attached to the protector.
