Hi all,
I have the following concern - am I used to plastic screen protectors, which in most cases reduce the screen quality. I want to try glass but I think that it is possible that the tempered glass screen protector can actually scratch the screen under certain contitions, as most of them are really hard (for example a lot of pressure or chipping of the protector). Any thoughts on the subject? Has anyone experienced scratches from a glass protector under normal use?

I never have. The ones made from SGP will break in a certain way to cause no harm to you nor the phone. I have no clue about the other screen protectors

Theres a thread on the Glasszone. Hypertek is the only person who has received it so far so you should ask him. I should be receiving my yellow glass zone sometime this week so ill post updates on his thread.

As far as what I've seen I wouldn't recommend this or would be hesitant to try this. I'm not sure how this screen protector sticks to the phone but since it is glass I'm guessing that the normal sticky thingy that screen protector use is not what they use here. It could only stick to the edges of yñthe front of the phone and if a spec of dust or sand were to get in between the phone and the tempered glass this will cause permanent scratches to the screen.
Again I wouldn't try it but I would love to see someone that gets it make a review.

There's already a thread discussing this so maybe go there to see the input

I just received my diztronic case and absolutely love it.
Question is: for those of you who have this case, what screen protector do you use with it? And have you had any problems with the combination?
Thanks!

I tried the otterbox, anti glare & clear eBay and zagg screen protectors. They all ended up bubbling up.

ZAGG HD works perfect for me. If you put the screen protector on after the case you can center it so it won't bubble up.
I was lucky with mine that I centered it fairly well before I got case and it doesn't bubble up.
The Zagg HD is the first screen protector I've bought that is noticeably smaller than the screen to accommodate cases.

I am having good luck with the Spigen screen protector. The ultra clear one is a bit thicker I think. The first few days it would bubble a bit in the corners. But now it doesn't bubble at all.

Check out the Xgear Spectre tempered glass screen protector. I'm thinking of doing the same thing myself.
There's the mercury colored screen protectors too. Not sure how good they are though

The mercury screen protectors suck lol.
The menu button and back button are actually printed on the screen protector itself. And the company name "Mercury is printed on the screen protector right above the back button.
And the mercury screen protector doesn't completely cover the front of the phone, so if you're trying to make a white S3 black, it'll look off.
I ordered three of the black and it wasn't mention, but it has a glittery look instead of just being black. I don't know if all of the colors are like this but it kind of throws it off in my opinion.
If none this bothers you, then order them, as for me, I'm getting my money back.

I believe it does have issue because there is no indication that there is a glass screen protector on the Spigen website for sale. I'm only seeing 20 items and none look like glass protectors.

Let us know how it works. I've done what sharkboy did and bought a full body protector and have the Incipio featherlite about a couple days ago. I'm interested in seeing how well it works

I've seen a video of someone dragging it on the road behind a motorcycle and then just peeled it off with no damage. It skid for about a block. no actual shock test was done.

This is exactly what I've been looking for. I haven't been able to find a screen protector that fits with my diztronic tpu case. They always peel off at the corners.
I got my LGOG in November and after having no screen protector since then I still have 0 scratches. I'm just using a TPU case that is raised on the front so when I set it down or drop it the screen doesn't have any contact. I've even had the phone in pockets with change and keys on accident. With newer phones screen protectors aren't needed nearly as much as they used to be thanks to Corning Gorilla Glass and such.

Same here. I got a screen protector (zagg) immediately after purchasing mine in November. I've been too lazy to put it on. Still, no screen protector, just an otterbox case, and the screen is in perfect shape. I would like to rock my phone with no case, but the camera sticks out on the back.
Today I discovered I have a small scratch on my screen (no bigger than an 1/8th inch) but it's really bothering me, especially since I just got my phone a couple weeks ago and the glass is suppose to be scratch resistant.
What's a good suggestion for a screen protector? I did some searching and found zagg invisible shield. I've seen good
reviews and bad reviews for it.
Will anything "fix" or hide the scratch so it's not noticeable?
Thanks.

Should of bought one at the moment you got the phone. Take it it's not your first. A glass one should hide it but you will always know it's there. If you are like me it will just rent space in your head...

I had a nexus 7 and had no problems with scratches on the screen (until my dog destroyed it).
Any certain brands I should look for? Any I should avoid?

Matte screen protectors usually hide any micro/light scratches. Super shieldz is a good brand for matte screen protectors.

I wrote a review on amFilm screen protectors. I swear by them. You can find them on Amazon for about $4.95 for 3. Well worth it. Here's my review: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2641859

Don't anti glare, anti fingerprint protectors degrade the screen quality though? Id like something which isn't too noticeable.
I was looking at the HD XTreme guard the other day. So many different choices, don't know what to pick

Take my word for it and try the amFilm protectors. If properly applied, you won't know it's there, and feels like glass. (after a few minutes of getting your skin oils worked in) If you don't believe me, then good luck in your search.
