[Q] Original Network Logo - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, i have the SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 2 GT-N7105 & have just had it unlocked.....i know its not a big problem but on starting up the phone the original Network Logo (3) starts up......will Rooting get rid of this or is there an easier solution?
Cheers in advance.....

Well try flashing a stock rom. That might fix it without rooting

Yes rooting will open doors to remove and change that from apps or frameworks. There is no need to change the rom.

If you want to lose any bloatware as I did from my 3uk n7105 I rooted then flashed ace 4.9. Highly regarded as the best stock missed ROM. I'm currently running latest stable AOKP with uneak kernel

ROM Toolbox Pro

Does it not work with the S3? every feature I try does not work, and when I used the font changer it soft bricked my phone lol. I was able to fix it though.

It works perfectly fine when I use it you just have to make sure you have a kernel that supports boot animations if you wanna change that

Works fine for me. Rom toolbox is my goto tool. Use it a lot.

Is there any way to find out if my kernel is supported? I'll check all over Google and on here and was a unable to find anything.

What kernel are you using?
You must be on the stock kernel. Won't work on that
Im on stock. 3.0.8-925100

Flash another kernel. Doesn't really matter which. Just choose it from the Original Android Development section.
Alright I never done it before but ill give it a try tonight or tomorrow.

What would be a good one to install? Im looking to do tweaks that ROM Toolbox lets you do. Custom Boot, change WiFi logo, change Battery logo, fonts and so on? I definitely know not to use the one I'm on now because when I installed a font pack using ROM toolbox I soft bricked my phone and was stuck on the Samsung logo. So I'm basically looking for one where I can use every single feature in ROM toolbox since I now have the paid version and am unable to use it. Thanks again for all the help.

[Q] Custom Words got deleted after reboot !!

All my custom words from my stock keyboard got deleted after a reboot. And now i'm not able to get any more custom words saved. Any fixes? Any way of getting back all those words? Please help. I'm on GT N-7100 JB 4.1.2 stock ROM, Build MA6. I've never rooted my phone.
And yes I tried rebooting again but that didn't fix the issue. You can imagine how much a turn off this glitch can be. I'm someone who rely a lot on custom words Someone, help

If you'd have rooted I would have recommend fix permission.
But for now try factory reset.

Would it help if I root now?

Got the issue sorted. Just had to reset the keyboard settings. Thank you. I'm not gonna get back those lost words though.

Google Search new version not compatible with GN?

I'm on 4.2.2 and when using Google Now I get a "card" suggesting to upgrade the search up
But whenever I hit the Play, I get a message that the device isn't compatible
I tried Google about it but cannot find anything about the issue
Am I the only one with this issue?

Did you change DPI?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
I did.
Is it related?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Absolutely related. You might need to revert to stock dpi, clear market data, update and then put your dpi back to where you want it.

Well, I just did it
But still get the error of device not compatible

Even more
I rebooted into recovery, wiped cache and dalvik, but still get the error

Actually, after stopping Google Framework I was able to get 7 Google products updated I was not even aware of
Thank you

Not sure if this will work but try dirty flashing your ROM and gapps. If not clean install and get it over with. Next time use pimp my ROM app when changing DPI or xposed.

I'm using stock ROM, just rooted with modified build.prop (the DPI part)
not sure pimp my ROM will not do the same in this case

Flashing kernel

I was just wondering if there is any point to flashing a kernel while being on a stoke room. Also I'm using a I317M note 2 is there any good kernels out for that one and also I wasn't able to get cwm recovery installed but can I use the toolbox app on the computer just like a recovery

You get further options to improve battery performance and/or overall performance.

Unable to save any picture?

I'm unable to save any picture from twitter, baconreader, and also using snap capture from exposed module. I've used a new rom but it still doesn't work. Any reason why?

Way to vague. .. More info needed like all the specs. ..root? Rom? Kernel? Did you upgrade the bootloader?
Sent from my SM-N900T using xda app-developers app
Yes rooted, stock kernel, was using infamous 2.5 when I noticed the problem, but now using wicked kk v1 but the problem is still there. Yes I am in the new boot loader.
