I'm on 4.2.2 and when using Google Now I get a "card" suggesting to upgrade the search up
But whenever I hit the Play, I get a message that the device isn't compatible
I tried Google about it but cannot find anything about the issue
Am I the only one with this issue?

Did you change DPI?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
I did.
Is it related?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Absolutely related. You might need to revert to stock dpi, clear market data, update and then put your dpi back to where you want it.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
Well, I just did it
But still get the error of device not compatible
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Even more
I rebooted into recovery, wiped cache and dalvik, but still get the error

Actually, after stopping Google Framework I was able to get 7 Google products updated I was not even aware of
Thank you

Not sure if this will work but try dirty flashing your ROM and gapps. If not clean install and get it over with. Next time use pimp my ROM app when changing DPI or xposed.

Try clearing data on the play store app. Reboot and try again.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
The basic things to try are clearing Play Store cache and data, and uninstall the Music app and re-download.
I do all this and nothing still don't work :s

When you clear the cache do you also have the option to uninstall update? I had this issue and I uninstalled the update and this fixed it for me.
I have a similar issue, do let me know if you find a solution. I have a feeling I need to change mine to the US market. Since I'm not rooted yet, I can't try that.

If you are rooted use titanium backup and delete play music. Reboot and then install from the play store. Should work after that.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
I do all...I delete the app with titanium backup and nothing now play app says device not supported.

I guess google music isn't supported in your country. You'll probably have to reflash your gapps package to get it back.

940 error is when you try to install an app that is incompatible with your country. You might try using market enabler.
Everytime I go to buy an app from my phone it says an error has occurred please try again later but if I attempt to buy the app on my tablet it works just fine... I have tried deleting and readding the account and still a no go.... can someone help?

Stock or rooted and ROMed? Have you done the standard clear data/cache and re-select your account? Have you modded your display density?
Rooted with AOKP B32 running Franco135 and I have played with the screen density before but have it normal right now

Hi my play store is being a pain. Not showing apps or telling me they are not compatible lol
Any ideas I'm on slim bean
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Started suddenly or directly after flashing gapps?
After gapps can't even find Facebook etc
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Did you flash the slim gapps? Normal gapps packages don't work right with slim's modified dpi.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using Tapatalk 2
I tried common first. For some reason though. When it started restoring apps it went into meltdown. So flashed normal gapps. Maybe a glitch I'll try with common again
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Installed. Common. But still getting the not compatible for my device etc
Annoying

What version of gapps did you flash? Strange issue by the way.
I flashed the slimbeans common set of gapps. For the slimbean ROM there's a gapps just for the ROM. Other gapps as mentioned already just cause errors or apps must dont up in listing

Just sharing the goodness of today's search and find that popped out not too long ago.

Note : These are non flashable zips. You may need to open and extract and pick what you like. Happy installing. :good: I've tried most of the System apps and they work just dandy. What you do with these are upto you.
What are some good apps to check out?
Chrome is the default browser? Nice touch, Google!

Seems as so, I'm surprised though. Some apps need to be deodexed to be used with non stock firmware. On stock it seems to work fine. I managed to get Google Plus and Play store working on AOSP only since they don't need to be deodexed but the rest just needs that touch. I'll try and get a deodexed system apps up and running shortly.

AT&T LG Optimus G won't install.
Extracted chosen files into my system/apps folder, restarted, apps won't work. I extracted both the .apk and .odex of two apps, one being the Nexus 4's email app, and the other being the Nexus 4's messaging app. The email app won't install, and the messaging app comes up with "trouble parsing the package".

Because those apps weren't optimized for your phone.

You can use the messaging app from aosp roms. Like Rasbeanjelly or such.

I actually wondered, if I can get the system dump of the Nexus 4 running 4.0.4 would that work at all, since my Optimus G is running that as well?

But sadly Nexus 4 runs 4.2.1 out the box so there's no way to even get it to run 4.1.2 or we all would have reverted to it to save us from the nightmare

Does the system dump worth downloading or it is the same as Galaxy Nexus's system ?
I have tried different ROMs with 4.2.2 and ever time the app it self will just crash. Does anyone know how to fix this problem or is it just one of those 4.2.2 bugs we are dealing with?

Did you try clearing data or reinstalling from the play store and not from a backup and restore app like titanium backup. Or the app itself may not be compatible with 4.2.2 yet.
Sent from my SGH-I747 using xda premium
I did try to wipe data and reinstall and still nothing. It has to be not update with 4.2.2 yet. Thanks for the advice tho.
