[Q] Custom Words got deleted after reboot !! - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

All my custom words from my stock keyboard got deleted after a reboot. And now i'm not able to get any more custom words saved. Any fixes? Any way of getting back all those words? Please help. I'm on GT N-7100 JB 4.1.2 stock ROM, Build MA6. I've never rooted my phone.

And yes I tried rebooting again but that didn't fix the issue. You can imagine how much a turn off this glitch can be. I'm someone who rely a lot on custom words Someone, help

If you'd have rooted I would have recommend fix permission.
But for now try factory reset.

Would it help if I root now?

Got the issue sorted. Just had to reset the keyboard settings. Thank you. I'm not gonna get back those lost words though.

Good
Hi. I'm a complete novice, and I don't understand what you did to fix this problem. Is there a easier way to get rid of this error.
Cheers

have you disabled animator duration scale at developer options? if yes, then make it 0.5x or higher, reboot phone. If it didnt help then you have disabled or deleted some system apps which gives you that fc...
I haven't changed any of the settings in Development Options as it gives a warning. I don't believe I've deleted any of the system files as I've yet to attach it to a computer (other then putting some music on)

yeah it's supposed to be there. It's either the rom you're using or some kind of mod you flashed (if any) that removed it. Try factory resetting it or installing another rom.

I get this too. So far a reboot is the only solution I've found. Force stopping and restarting doesn't help.
Happens on both stock and omega rom

[Q] Question about WanamLite contacts app

Hi everyone,
First I would like to xda community for this amazing site and the help and infos it offers.
And second I want to thank all the developers and especially Wanam and Mike1986 for their amazing ROMs and work.
Sorry for posting here but since I m new, I can't post in WanamLite rom's thread.
I've been using Wanam's ROM for quite some time now and I noticed that the contacts app does not show the little accounts' icons near the names in the contacts list like the other ROMs I used (Stock, ARHD). Anyone else has or had this issue?
Thank you in advance.

Is there a way to fix it and make them appear again?

You can try replacing the app from stock rom.

Well, tried replacing SecContacts.apk but still the same. I will try the phone app and see if it will work.
Did you wipe cache?
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
Wiped dalvik first then tried wiping both of them but still the same
Factory reset ?

If using the apk from a rom with that feature doesn't work, maybe it's another of the features you need to enable/disable through the csc features.xml thing?

After replacing both phone app and contacts app and also the features.xml I got the icons back
Thank you both for the help.

Is anyone else having troubles with the 4.4.2 update??

I was rooted and had twrp when the ota went through and it automatically used twrp by itself to complete. Wasnt on a custom rom though. Thought I'd better include that part.
Thanks!
