[Q] 1st boot logo is not fit my Kindle Fire screen - Kindle Fire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Small question for recent ROMs (CM10.1 and Stock AOSP 4.3): Both ROMs had been installed and run without problem, but the 1st boot logo (CM logo for CM 10.1 ROM 4.2.2 and Android logo for the stock 4.3) was stretched out of my Fire screen for about 5 seconds, than later fit the screen before loaded. I tried to search on forum but no one match my concern. Do you face similar thing? It's not affect the Fire performance but it look weird for a few seconds

Settings, performance, disable boot animation. Then it won't bother you anymore!

Boot up delay

Ever since 4.1 I've had a super long boot time. Luckily I don't have to reset often but when I do... it takes like 5-10 minutes.
I flashed a new bootloader on my Verizon variety but it seems not to do much. This still an issue or is there a fix?

4.1 has a long boot up time due to the system scanning your file system to make sure there's no problems. 4.2 no longer does that. It was only with 4.1

Right, some roms are quicker than others and many have the long boot on initial boot but goes much quicker from there on. Sourcery 4.1.2 seems to boot pretty quick other than that first boot after installing an update or restoring a nandroid.
I'm talking about EVERY boot. I'm running PA on my N7 but it never had any boot delays on any version. I'm planning on upgrading my GN eventually but I have a super sweet setup right now running Xenon 4.1.2.
Xenon was the only 4.1 that gave me superb battery life. Its 4.2 rom, battery seems to be a problem.
Good to know 4.2 boots normal. I mean 5-10 minutes each boot (not initial) is a pain. That's a really good reason to make the switch. I also really like PAs 4.2 tablet mode features.

i am running Pa also and it boots up quit fast so I don't think it has somethinh to do with you're rom

What kind of problem do you exactly have? After cm 10.1 install and reboot your system you get a flickering screen and then blank black screen?

I also had the same problem. Flickering screen after clean cm 10.1 install. I was advised to wait to wait several minutes even if screen flickers. I installed cm 10.1 screen started flickering then gone black. I waited 3-4 minutes and then pressed power button to unlock screen... wualllla )) cm10.1 setup screen. I set up cm 10.1 and it worked normally. Anyway when I restarted phone screen kept flickering again but booted faster. So as I understand I could use cm10.1 without boot animation.... but it loads and works . Anyway I dissappointed in cm10.1 because of this and returned to stock. Hope soon I will get answer why screen flickering aftet cm10.1 install ( looks like you do not have boot screen ... but it boots up ) . Hope soon will get fix.

So maybe I should try one more time with that, I just flashed to MIUI rom but like kind of wired...I love the look of the cm
CM 10.1
Will someone give any explanation to this situation? Why screen flickers and shakes after I install cm10.1 ?
Check "Force GPU Rendering" in developer options. If developer options doess not show in your system settings, tap "about phone" 7 times and developers options will appear.
I checked it and the same result.

boot animation stuck at top of screen.

Ive tried to install a different boot animation and installed and different rom but nothing has worked.
If you are running cm10.1 that is a known bug that you can't do anything about.
You really need to be more clear in what your problem is, and what you want to know.

[Q] [JB 4.3][CM10.2] roms question about boot animation

I'm currently running JellyBeer 4.33 on my first gen kindle fire and the only actual issue I have with it is the boot animation initially loads off center. I know this has been an issue, and is a petty issue, since 4.2 but i was wondering if any of the current CM10.2 roms have since remedied this issue?
No. None have. -- Sent from my Amazon Kindle Fire using xda premium
Same as mine
I also get it off center with CM10.1 and stock 4.3 (Hashcode)

[Q] Problems With Nova Launcher

My Kindle Fire is rooted and I just installed Nova Launcher. I installed it as a system app so I could use it as default. So far it seems to be working okay except I can't change the wallpaper. No matter what I've tried it just stays black. Also, the status bar has just disappeared. It keeps showing up and then disappearing. How do I fix this?
Try my wallpaper fix in my SIG. On a weird note the status bar disapearing is something that some people have happen after they run my fix, usually a reboot will suffice.

I'll try the fix, thanks. And the status bar came back by itself so idk what's up.

Didn't work and the status bar won't come back. Rebooted twice.
Try setting a default wallpaper that came with nova, and give it a few seconds. The latest version of my fix hasn't had too many issues so any info on what going on will help or if you noticed any errors on the fix while it was running.

Try getting KF First Aide and use "Fix Broken Installation" for the status bar. (Assuming it's for the Kindle Fire 2.) I don't know if it will work for you or not, but it worked for me.
