Google music in the uk

When, if ever, can we expect this in the UK? I have come from iPhone which had all my music on and could purchase anything via iTunes, to my nexus which I can't do neither on. Apart from this small problem, I love my phone buy I do miss these things. I know there are ways to pretend you are in the USA but just wondering if its going to be official in the future. Also, what apps are people using to purchase/download music?
Thanks and happy Christmas!

Only google knows when it'll roll out. If I was you I would trick your way into the market with a us account. The only other option I could think is amazon mp3 store, but I don't think they rolled it out internationally yet either. But I prefer Google music app and service over amazon.

i followed the guide on,

I now have google music
Hi Guys,
Sorry for bumping an old post.
I have a google music account, I did it through a proxy, I also have the app by using market enabler to be able to install it.
How do I actually upload music? Do I have to use a proxy to do this? if so it's kinda a waste of time, i'll wait till it's officially released.

You don't need to upload via a proxy, sign in to the Music page online and download the app 'Music Manager' I think. It runs in the background on your PC. Word of warning though it takes forever! Also make sure your tags are correct as once your music is uploaded it's a pain to edit.
The only problem with that though, is when I try to access the music page online without a proxy, I get "We're sorry. The Google Play music player is currently only available in the United States."
The app itself on my phone works okay, but all my files are locally on my phone. I don't mind it being slow, I can upload on a work connection so it's faster thana standard connection.
Once you've actually signed up (using a proxy if outside the US), then it shouldn't care. You should be able to be logged into your google account, and go to http://music.google.com and be logged in to your account. Then you can get music manager and upload your tracks.
Isn't working.
When I access through a proxy, the website comes up like this:
When I then take myself off the proxy, and on my normal connection, comes back with this:

I had exactly the same problem, and I tried many proxy servers. The way I finally managed it was to use a VPN like the one here http://www.vpnsurfing.com/2011/11/free-vpn-provided-by-hotfreevpn-com-us-uk-and-canada-ip/ now I don't know how safe it is so probably best to change your google password after your finished as a precaution.

Just tried this at work, I have a feeling that something is blocking it, i'm going through a proxy within a proxy aswell(just so people can't go sniffing into what i'm trying to do).
I'll try this weekend.
Also, I changed my password to something random before trying this, now when I go to change my password on my email, it won't let me use my old password, any fix to get around this?
It should work... I did the same as you, so signed up via a proxy and downloaded the music manager program and then got the app via market enabler...
After the initial sign in I've never used a proxy again as it doesn't check your ip again...
Are you able to click on upload music as that should then take you to the download page for the music manager program...
I'm in the UK and have Google Music access.
Just used a US proxy...
richfreestone, my guess as to why it didn't work was because there is a terms and conditions window that appears that you must agree to before you can use Google Music, sorry Google Play! Most likely the proxy you was using didn't handle javascript.
I recommend you just use tor, configure for US proxies then sign into Google Play, the terms and conditions will appear, agree to them and you're done, download the client and upload music.

Another signup method is using a vpn application that terminates in the USA - TunnelBear worked well for me.
I've managed to get to the sign up page using Tors, but the Terms Of Service pop-up wont go away after I click on Agree. :-( :-(
I know this threads quite old but I managed to sign up using TOR.
Then just kept switching identity and checking the IP till I got one in the US.
Signed up, signed in and working superb.

IP is only checked on sign up so using a US proxy for that and your done.

I was using market enabler set to Verizon and DroidVPN for something else entirely and I managed to get Google Music acticated too Going to take months to upload all 13000 of my songs on my connection though

Why is this so HARD or am I stupid???

Alright so i been going nuts trying to figure out why when i sign in a new device it gets full access to all my google account information. I have a few android phone in the the house all using different google address so its fine. But recently purchased a new tablet and both me and my brother signed in which is fine. Installed all the apps that were purchased from the Play Store and this is were the problem is.
When you sign in once the tablet now has access to everything related to that google account and no verification is asked or prompts to login. I don't want my brother reading my emails and he is the same it makes no sense why you enter it once and the device has access to everything. I would like to control what features of my google account a device has access too.
I just want to be able to install purchased apps on the tablet and nothing more, is this possible?
Hahahah. Jebise. Haha. Bravo on the nik.
AFAIK, no is the answer to ur question. Google is said to be working on multiple user accounts. Maybe an app is out on play store that locks ur email app but i havent heard of it.
PS. Pusti brata neka cita email naucice nesto novo. Heheh.

Thanks, it was unintentional way back when i was thinking of an internet alias. It was suppose to be Jebus (Homer say this in one of the episodes) but young foolish me decided to spell it Jebise and it just kinda got stuck and like you once in a while i get these messages. I know what it means now but anyways back to OP.
That is really dump. This is why we never shared accounts, I don't want to purchase the same apps again. I guess Apple has it right with the AppStore because it prompts for a password to install apps and there is no link to email.

Look in settings in the app store I think there is a setting where it will ask you if u want to ask for password before installing any apps. My phone is off so i cant confirm but I believe i did see it almost 100 %.

It's for a PIN but that still does not solve the issue for gmail. I guess we can just uninstall the app.
Sign in, install your apps the remove the account.

yeah but if you go into the app, you can still manually see emails and such even if sync is disabled. it seems I have to remove my account or use TB which is a pain with multiple devices and that not even including updates.
After some thinking I think I will just have to create a new google account just for purchasing apps and nothing else. Sad google has no real control on this.

not if new apps are purchased or updates.
I think the far easier option is to create a generic email with just a CC used to purchase apps.

transfer paid apps to new account

so i got an email from google today saying that someone tried to log in to my account from china. Obviously it couldnt be me, so i reported it and immediately changed my password and enabled two step verification. But still, i would rather stay on the safe side and use a completely new account. Normally i would do just that without a seconds though, but i have paid for apps with this account. so i was wondering if it would be possible to transfer those apps to a new account.

You need to email each developer for the paid apps. They will have you verify some things and get you the app on your new account.

[Q] Redeeming free apps

Hi I'm new to these forums and I must say I love them! There's so much useful information!
So I thought that when buying this tablet I would get a bunch of free stuff. (50 gigs of dropbox, free linkedin pro for 3 months, etc...) I can't find any information about this anymore, I'm I missing something? Does anyone have any clue how to do this? I have already registered my device with Samsung btw.
Thanks in advance,
- Olivier
You should receive an email detailing the offers, sent to the address from which you registered your Samsung account. BTW, some of the offers, like the NYT access, begin from the time you register the account, NOT from the time you first access the offer. So, the first time I tried to access the Times premium content, it told me something like my premium access trial had expired, and asked whether I'd like to continue with a full-price subscription?
HA! Not likely...

Yes that's what I thought. I just double checked and I did receive an email after registering, but didn't see any links to get free stuff. In comparison I still had an email from when I registered my S3 with a link to get free stuff. I'm confused about what I else I can/should try... :s

Have you registered your device via the Galaxy Perks page?
Log in to your Samsung Account via a web browser (you can use the above link). Click on your name in the upper right, and select "My Profile". Verify that your device shows up. Sometimes just logging in to your Samsung Account via a web browser seems to trigger it, so it doesn't hurt to try even if you know you already registered your device.
Have you added the Samsung Account to the Note 2014 yet? If not, launch Samsung Apps and sign in with your Samsung Account when prompted. You might need to press the menu button and then select "Sign In" if it doesn't automatically ask you.
If you have, remove the Samsung Account, launch Samsung Apps and sign in again.
If you've done all that, you SHOULD get the "<NAME>, your gift for registering..." email at the Gmail account you specified when you registered.

Help on s6 FRP bypass

I forgot my Google password andi reset my phone so now I can't get through the phones gmail login and I can't use it. I saw videos where I can use an otg cable but it didn't work because it wasn't going into the file browser so I can't install the app that bypasses it. Also is there any way I can do it using my computer and adb commands or whatever they're called. If I can't fix it my self should I take the phone to T-Mobile I bought the phone this month and I think they should be able to fix it or replace/exchange it.

All Android phones require a Gmail account. Replacing the phone will not fix your issue. Go to Gmail.com on your computers browser and go through the Google forgotten password link or just create a new account. This is not an XDA issue it is a Google support issue.

Well I don't know my account details so that won't work for it. Do I do the method with the otg cable and installing an app that bypasses it. I get stuck where you put the USB into the phone and the file browser is supposed to start up, but for me the browser doesn't start up.

Gonna be completely honest here your story and questions seem pretty shady. You need to contact Google to get into your account, you probably won't get assistance here bypassing a security feature like that.

As I already stated, you need to contact Google support for your issue. There is no one on XDA that will help you with this issue. It is an account problem.
@xjumpman45,
Google's Factory Reset Protection is there to help protect against devices being stolen or appropriated by those who don't own the device. It is a valuable protection but it does unfortunately come with some annoyances. I personally have been locked out of my own device due to some quirks with FRP. If you legitimately own the device you should also own (or have access to) the Google account that was used to activate the device. There are various resources available online that will help you bypass the FRP in a legitimate situation, fortunately these bypasses don't often work for those with less than legitimate situations.
Unfortunately we cannot help you remember your password or unlock your Google account. You'll need to take care of that. If you are unable to remember the password for the account there is a "Need help?" link directly on the Gmail sign in page, it will walk you through the process of resetting your password.
My response covers all the bases as far as the help that XDA is able to provide. Please do not post on this issue again. I have closed both threads you created to stop further discussion.
Thank you,
Rwilco12
