I've been a big fan of the slim cases that Blurex has made for the 7" tablets, specifically the Acer A100 and Nexus 7. So, when I picked up a Hisense Sero 7 Pro, I contacted Blurex to see if they intended to produce a case for it. Sadly, they passed, but I noticed a similar case for the $99 Sero 7 on I-Blason's site. It lacked the cut-out for the rear-facing camera, but otherwise looked like a nice option. Well, about a week ago I spotted the same case for the Pro version being offered on Amazon for $19.95 and ordered it. The package arrived yesterday and so far I'm very pleased with the fit and build quality of the case.
Like the Blurex cases, it doesn't cover the front glass as all. It protects the corners and offers easy access to all the ports and buttons. Unlike Blurex (which uses a leather covered spring-clip), I-Blason's case has a plastic clip on the side to hold the cover closed. It's attached to the case with elastic and opens easily enough with one hand. You can also use the clip to secure the flap when the case is open. As long as the plastic doesn't break, it seems like a nice feature. If someone wanted to lose the clip, and X-acto blade and some sandpaper would make easy work of it.
It also has a built-in hand strap which is nicely made as well. There's a piece of Velcro which holds the hinged part of the back leather to the plastic case. If you open it, the case acts as a 3-position stand for the tablet in landscape mode. The only this that's a little strange is the hinge on the front cover. I've played with the case for a day, and haven't found a situation where the hinge actual comes into play. In fact, it actually causes the cover to pop-up slightly when it's closed, although I'm sure it will flatten out after a couple days.
The verdict? I'm really and impressed with this case. It's nicely designed and has a high-quality build. For people who aren't a fan of cases that add bulk or cover the bezel, I highly recommend the I-Blason Slim Case.

That looks like a universal case for 7 inch tablets. Does it have cutouts for the speakers and the back camera?

Hope so. Not a deal breaker I hardly use the camera to take pics more of a around the house tablet for me. I'll update when I get it. After more reading I noticed it said MD-702 tablet in the listing. I contacted the seller. I have yet to have my coffee this morning and just saw it held business cards and fit the Sero.
Thanks to the OP for your pics and review. I just bought this case.

The hinge fold on the cover is there for "keyboard" mode.
Works well, doesn't bounce around and I was pleasantly surprised how quickly I was able to mash out some text considering how highly I regard the iOS keyboard on the full-size iPad.
My only complaint about the case is the "light colored" micro-fiber interior, which I'm afraid will get nasty with hand grossness as time goes on.
Returned my case, plastic clip already broke. Will keep an eye out for something new.

When I saw that part of the description of the case I wondered. There's a very similar case available for the Nexus 7 that uses the plastic clip design and either the thread here at XDA on the case or the Amazon reviews were full of complaints about the same problem with the clip breaking. Sorry to hear that this one suffers from the same thing.

Yep if the case was cheaper I could deal with the broken clip but for $20 it's going back.

They are going to discontinue this case. They sent me an email
We are out of the heated black cases and it is likely they will be discontinued due to a defect with the clasp.
Refund
I did get a refund for my case though...... I didn't expect it but they wanted me to give a product review for this case and I told them honestly that my clasp broke after 2 weeks of use.... Next email was they refunded...
How many people have both cases and if you do, which one do you prefer?
Poetic Slimline - http://www.amazon.com/Poetic-Slimline-Function-Manufacturer-Warranty/dp/B00E5NOXM4
Moko Ultra Slim - http://www.amazon.com/MoKo-Google-New-Nexus-Case/dp/B00CKA1IYU
I think they are going to extremely close in specs. I imagine both would be made of the same type of material and both close to each other in most regards.
I really think it comes down to preference on the cutouts and warranty policy.

I think the biggest difference is how the magnets are implemented. The Moko has that clasp on the center of the right edge while I believe the Poetic has 3 magnets distributed along that same edge. I've also read that there may be some minor differences in the quality of the material and the fit of the plastic backing.
Moko
I picked up the Moko Ultra Slim in Red when it was only .99 still waiting for it LOL.. Will let you know what I think about it along with photos once I get it.

Yea I liked my old Poetic how well it closed. The downside is that it required a whole strip of plastic down the side. The Moko only has 1 magnet and less plastic I think.

This is for people who have received or ordered both. I know there are a few but I'm guessing not a lot of people have both cases yet since they've just started shipping out. I also ordered both but figured it would be a cool to keep a running tab for people who are considering one or the other in the future.

I don't have both. I just read reviews on the forum and ordered the Poetic. Cannot compare.
But poetic offers 3-year warranty. Cannot go wrong.
The poetic warranty is really nice. They've replaced 3 of mine from last year, no questions asked. When the cover got worn, I'd shoot them an email with my amazon confirmation number and another case would arrive in a few days.
I think Moko has a warranty but unsure of the process. Both are cheaply made cases and won't last past a couple months of heavy usage. The "plastic" cover will start to break at the folds.

I'll take some better pictures tonight or tomorrow comparing both.
I prefer the Poetic though. It feels better on the tablet and looks better. The Poetic lays flat better also.

I just got the Poetic slimline today in the mail. It is an amazing case, and built well. The only downside is I can NOT get the auto wake/sleep from the magnets to work. This is something I have gotten used to with my 1st gen. Nexus 7, and once you have a feature, it's hard to live without it. I'm contacting Poetic for a replacement or return. Such a bummer, because this case is truly awesome.
If anyone wants, I can put up pictures when I get back home.

Cool, will try it when I get home in about an hour. I also ordered this case a few days after I got my Nexus 7 (July 26th), and just got the case today. I forgot I even ordered it, and it's by far the longest period of time I've had to wait for a product from Amazon. If it doesn't work, I'm going to email Poetic. I'll update with pictures.
Here are the better cokparison pictures I just took.
Poetic is first and then Moko. I also put them side by side to show the micro fiber difference. The poetic feels better with that part. Also like some mentioned be sure to be carfule taking it out as it does hold the tablet tightly. However if you take it out from inside first it should be eaiser. I did not have any issues also with back seperating.

In fact, I have. For my old (now sold) Nexus 7 2012.
Other than the markings there was no discernable difference between that and my friends' Poetic and iBlason(IIRC) cases. Both of which holding up nicely after a year's time.
Unless this N7 2013 case is different, I'll stick by my assessment.
Basically, you spend your money, and make your choice...
Most likely this one and the others that look like this are probably close to the same. As someone said in a different thread they buy them in bulk from somewhere and apply the companies branding.

I bought and received this case (from Taobao to Hong Kong)
I don't have the device with me at the moment so I will take pictures tonight with it in the case.
Initial impressions are that the leather is very soft and the back cover is made in very high quality (leather wrapped around the plastic shell) and see no exposed plastic bits. Furthermore the "baseball" stitching on the cover is very nicely done, and very pliable with no stiffness.
Will update with fitment and auto sleep/wake tonight!

I bought and received this case (from Taobao to Hong Kong)
I don't have the device with me at the moment so I will take pictures tonight with it in the case.
Initial impressions are that the leather is very soft and the back cover is made in very high quality (faux leather wrapped around the plastic shell) and see no exposed plastic bits. Furthermore the "baseball" stitching on the cover is very nicely done, and very pliable with no stiffness.
UPDATE: fitment is good and cut outs are accurate. Speaker grilles are properly cut and quality of the case is insane against the 11USD value. Must buy given the current case selection on the market. The case is light weight and made of very thick "leather".
The only minor quibble I have with the case is that the magnet doesn't keep the flap closed completely. Auto sleep/wake occurs without fault with a 1 second delay. (standard among cases). Finally the "Nillkin" logo is not very prominent making this a very stealthy case.
Rating: 8/10
Price is now $15.89 on dx-box.com. Also noticed they have a white version and it seems there are also Red and Grey version elsewhere.

2012. no camera hole the back upper-left.
I have this case for my Nexus 7 first gen, and I love it, except that the front cover edge has started to split. Hard to explain, I'll try and get a pic, but basically the outer layer and the inner micro-fibre layer are coming apart at the outside seam. I'm looking for a similar case for my 2013 N7, not sure if I'd get the Nillkin again based on the previous experience.

Actually they aren't. I have both cases.
Both are excellent cases IMO.
The MoKo is slightly larger in all dimensions, maybe 10-15mm. The Blurex just feels slimmer and stealthier as a result, however the MoKo has better coverage on the edges with less exposure.
The MoKo is heavier than the Blurex making it feel a little bit sturdier.
The Blurex first tilt position allows the tablet to be more vertical since the slot starts immediately at the end of the handhold. The MoKo first slot starts around 3/4" after the hand hold.
The material in the MoKo is soft-touch and the Blurex is more traditional grained.
Like I said, both are great cases. If I just saw them side-by-side, I would probably choose the MoKo, but after using them a few days, I prefer the lighter thinner Blurex especially when I started using the tilt feature, where the more vertical position resulted in a better angle for where I was using it.

It is possible, I used to work around it by turning on Bluetooth, but now I just remember the first time in the morning I need to use the power button, then after that it is ok the rest of the day.
I know the issue is in software so it'll probably get fixed one day and if not, I am not going to lose any sleep over it.

I preordered this back in August and finally got it from the mail this week, the build quality of the case is OK, except there's a problem with its magnets. At certain standing positions, the magnets would interfere with the smart cover receptor and shut off the screen when I don't want it to do so. I contacted the seller and got a replacement today, which does the same thing as the original product. Well....for $5, can't complain much.
It looks nice and I don't use the stand much and been looking for a soft touch case. Does it ad a lot of bulk like some of the people complain about?

I have both Poetic and this Roocase.
The Roocase's front cover is thinner --> flimsy.
Roocase still has a magnet issue --> turns off tablet when folded back.
I think you should spend a few more $$ for the Poetic.
I have the poetic right now and hate it since it feels so cheap from the fake leather material they used. Really prefer the soft touch. Just ordered it will let you know how I like it lol.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4
I just received mine yesterday. Overall, the case feels extremely nice - especially the softback material. The cover is thin, but that's okay for me since it does not add bulk and it allows the cover to fold in many ways.
I've only noticed the magnets activate standby on the tablet when it is in one certain position (not folded behind). It's not something I am worried about because there's no reason for me to orient the tablet in such way.
It's an extremely thin case that's definitely worth $5 if you do not get one that has the magnet issues.
I have the LTE model.
I spent half an hour with a dremel tool to modify it to permit changing the SIM card without removing the tablet from the RooCase.
I am generally pleased with it, but I think the corner protection is substandard.
The corner protection does not go all the way up to the top of the tablet.
Regards
I figure as long as it sticks out more than the tablet around the edge it's nothing to worry about on a flat surface. And as was said the thin cover wouldn't be a problem since it doesn't add bulk and if your not too rough with it it won't be a problem lol. One question though is the magnet right on the edge of the cover? Amazon pics weren't great

Well just got mine today and the difference is night and day. This feels so much more premium its not even funny and yeah magnit can be an issue but not a big deal I'll just throw some aluminum foil between the case and device. It doesn't creak or squeel and it doesn't feel cheaper than dirt. Love this case

if you have issues with the magnets in the case turning your screen on and off in various positions, you can disable the magnet wake feature using Elemental kernel (assuming your rooted) or you can contact the seller and they will send you a free replacement ( supposedly tested by them to be working properly) I got my replacement a few days ago but I guess I've been to lazy to reflash the kernel and select the magnet wake option to ON and verify
I don't really have issues with it since I don't use the stand much. Fantastic case though

There is a huge thread about this case already. It is a nice case. I got mine in the other day. I haven't used it yet but I like it better then my Moko. It looks and feels better.

I have this case, don't recommend
I purchased this case when I had my Nexus 7 on order, It took three weeks to arrive. In the meantime I got the Poetic Slimline also. After receiving the rooCase, I immediately noticed the poor fit and rough edges on the case. I also noticed the same issues with the magnets as some of the other people. Bottom line I would not recommend this case at all as it does not work well and is of poor quality.
Try ands see if you can't get a replacement mine was fantastic and fits better than the poetic case.

Dang, that's really an extreme solution. People shouldn't have to mod their kernels just to adapt to a poorly designed accessory.
Its not really an issue since it doesn't stand like the regulate cases since its the oragami and works just fine like that.
