I've been a big fan of the slim cases that Blurex has made for the 7" tablets, specifically the Acer A100 and Nexus 7. So, when I picked up a Hisense Sero 7 Pro, I contacted Blurex to see if they intended to produce a case for it. Sadly, they passed, but I noticed a similar case for the $99 Sero 7 on I-Blason's site. It lacked the cut-out for the rear-facing camera, but otherwise looked like a nice option. Well, about a week ago I spotted the same case for the Pro version being offered on Amazon for $19.95 and ordered it. The package arrived yesterday and so far I'm very pleased with the fit and build quality of the case.
Like the Blurex cases, it doesn't cover the front glass as all. It protects the corners and offers easy access to all the ports and buttons. Unlike Blurex (which uses a leather covered spring-clip), I-Blason's case has a plastic clip on the side to hold the cover closed. It's attached to the case with elastic and opens easily enough with one hand. You can also use the clip to secure the flap when the case is open. As long as the plastic doesn't break, it seems like a nice feature. If someone wanted to lose the clip, and X-acto blade and some sandpaper would make easy work of it.
It also has a built-in hand strap which is nicely made as well. There's a piece of Velcro which holds the hinged part of the back leather to the plastic case. If you open it, the case acts as a 3-position stand for the tablet in landscape mode. The only this that's a little strange is the hinge on the front cover. I've played with the case for a day, and haven't found a situation where the hinge actual comes into play. In fact, it actually causes the cover to pop-up slightly when it's closed, although I'm sure it will flatten out after a couple days.
The verdict? I'm really and impressed with this case. It's nicely designed and has a high-quality build. For people who aren't a fan of cases that add bulk or cover the bezel, I highly recommend the I-Blason Slim Case.

That looks like a universal case for 7 inch tablets. Does it have cutouts for the speakers and the back camera?

Hope so. Not a deal breaker I hardly use the camera to take pics more of a around the house tablet for me. I'll update when I get it. After more reading I noticed it said MD-702 tablet in the listing. I contacted the seller. I have yet to have my coffee this morning and just saw it held business cards and fit the Sero.
Thanks to the OP for your pics and review. I just bought this case.

The hinge fold on the cover is there for "keyboard" mode.
Works well, doesn't bounce around and I was pleasantly surprised how quickly I was able to mash out some text considering how highly I regard the iOS keyboard on the full-size iPad.
My only complaint about the case is the "light colored" micro-fiber interior, which I'm afraid will get nasty with hand grossness as time goes on.
Returned my case, plastic clip already broke. Will keep an eye out for something new.

When I saw that part of the description of the case I wondered. There's a very similar case available for the Nexus 7 that uses the plastic clip design and either the thread here at XDA on the case or the Amazon reviews were full of complaints about the same problem with the clip breaking. Sorry to hear that this one suffers from the same thing.

Yep if the case was cheaper I could deal with the broken clip but for $20 it's going back.

They are going to discontinue this case. They sent me an email
We are out of the heated black cases and it is likely they will be discontinued due to a defect with the clasp.
Refund
I did get a refund for my case though...... I didn't expect it but they wanted me to give a product review for this case and I told them honestly that my clasp broke after 2 weeks of use.... Next email was they refunded...

I think they are going to extremely close in specs. I imagine both would be made of the same type of material and both close to each other in most regards.
I really think it comes down to preference on the cutouts and warranty policy.

I think the biggest difference is how the magnets are implemented. The Moko has that clasp on the center of the right edge while I believe the Poetic has 3 magnets distributed along that same edge. I've also read that there may be some minor differences in the quality of the material and the fit of the plastic backing.

Yea I liked my old Poetic how well it closed. The downside is that it required a whole strip of plastic down the side. The Moko only has 1 magnet and less plastic I think.

This is for people who have received or ordered both. I know there are a few but I'm guessing not a lot of people have both cases yet since they've just started shipping out. I also ordered both but figured it would be a cool to keep a running tab for people who are considering one or the other in the future.

I don't have both. I just read reviews on the forum and ordered the Poetic. Cannot compare.
But poetic offers 3-year warranty. Cannot go wrong.
The poetic warranty is really nice. They've replaced 3 of mine from last year, no questions asked. When the cover got worn, I'd shoot them an email with my amazon confirmation number and another case would arrive in a few days.
I think Moko has a warranty but unsure of the process. Both are cheaply made cases and won't last past a couple months of heavy usage. The "plastic" cover will start to break at the folds.

I'll take some better pictures tonight or tomorrow comparing both.
I prefer the Poetic though. It feels better on the tablet and looks better. The Poetic lays flat better also.

I just got the Poetic slimline today in the mail. It is an amazing case, and built well. The only downside is I can NOT get the auto wake/sleep from the magnets to work. This is something I have gotten used to with my 1st gen. Nexus 7, and once you have a feature, it's hard to live without it. I'm contacting Poetic for a replacement or return. Such a bummer, because this case is truly awesome.
If anyone wants, I can put up pictures when I get back home.

Cool, will try it when I get home in about an hour. I also ordered this case a few days after I got my Nexus 7 (July 26th), and just got the case today. I forgot I even ordered it, and it's by far the longest period of time I've had to wait for a product from Amazon. If it doesn't work, I'm going to email Poetic. I'll update with pictures.
Here are the better cokparison pictures I just took.
Poetic is first and then Moko. I also put them side by side to show the micro fiber difference. The poetic feels better with that part. Also like some mentioned be sure to be carfule taking it out as it does hold the tablet tightly. However if you take it out from inside first it should be eaiser. I did not have any issues also with back seperating.

So i got this case today from amazon. Its very similar to the moko and poetic slimline case. When I got this case it cost $5.99 but it seems the priced raised today by a dollar or so. Overall its a pretty nice case with no complaints so far. Only thing is when I try to bend the case into a stand to watch videos, it does NOT stay it place. Maybe after a while it will but for now its not working so well. I will compare to the Poetic slimline once I get that one in the mail.

I think your right. Looking at my case and looking at the moko case pictures on amazon and others have posted, it looks EXACTLY IDENTICAL to my case. Only difference is the MOKO logo on the silver metal, since mines is clear.
None of this is surprising.
Most just order in quantity from China and get them imprinted or branded with their own.
I received the case yesterday as well and have the same issue getting it to stand with the cover folded back. I removed the metal clasp on the front just to be safe from possible scratching. The auto wake feature still seems to work even without the metal claps I noticed. Overall quality feels ok for what I paid. Will be ok for a temp case until something better comes
These cases are cool but I've had problems with them cracking and breaking apart in the past. As an aside, that's a really funky old CRT TV man. Reminds me of college 12 years ago

I just received the same case. Had the same issue. To make it stand properly, the magnet needs to connect with the other magnet. It will make a triangle. At first I was just rolling it back, but that wouldn't work. Roll it till you feel the magnets connect, and it will stand.

In fact, I have. For my old (now sold) Nexus 7 2012.
Other than the markings there was no discernable difference between that and my friends' Poetic and iBlason(IIRC) cases. Both of which holding up nicely after a year's time.
Unless this N7 2013 case is different, I'll stick by my assessment.
Basically, you spend your money, and make your choice...
Most likely this one and the others that look like this are probably close to the same. As someone said in a different thread they buy them in bulk from somewhere and apply the companies branding.

I must agree that there is great difference on the overall feel and materials of the Nillkin.
I have the poetic slimline and the moko already, and gladly shelled the $16 for one from eBay just now.
I had the Nillkin for my now gifted to nephews' OG 7, and knowing all brands I was really waiting for it.

I bought and received this case (from Taobao to Hong Kong)
I don't have the device with me at the moment so I will take pictures tonight with it in the case.
Initial impressions are that the leather is very soft and the back cover is made in very high quality (leather wrapped around the plastic shell) and see no exposed plastic bits. Furthermore the "baseball" stitching on the cover is very nicely done, and very pliable with no stiffness.
Will update with fitment and auto sleep/wake tonight!

Initial impressions are that the leather is very soft and the back cover is made in very high quality (faux leather wrapped around the plastic shell) and see no exposed plastic bits. Furthermore the "baseball" stitching on the cover is very nicely done, and very pliable with no stiffness.
UPDATE: fitment is good and cut outs are accurate. Speaker grilles are properly cut and quality of the case is insane against the 11USD value. Must buy given the current case selection on the market. The case is light weight and made of very thick "leather".
The only minor quibble I have with the case is that the magnet doesn't keep the flap closed completely. Auto sleep/wake occurs without fault with a 1 second delay. (standard among cases). Finally the "Nillkin" logo is not very prominent making this a very stealthy case.
Rating: 8/10
Price is now $15.89 on dx-box.com. Also noticed they have a white version and it seems there are also Red and Grey version elsewhere.

2012. no camera hole the back upper-left.
I have this case for my Nexus 7 first gen, and I love it, except that the front cover edge has started to split. Hard to explain, I'll try and get a pic, but basically the outer layer and the inner micro-fibre layer are coming apart at the outside seam. I'm looking for a similar case for my 2013 N7, not sure if I'd get the Nillkin again based on the previous experience.
Anyone bought this?
It really look nice ...

IDENTICAL
I just got my moko. Looks identical. It is indeed thin. One thing I don't like is the front cover is so thin it is almost sharp around the edges. So when you hold it with one hand, pinky wrapped around the bottom, it kind of digs into your finger.
Looks nice but I'm not gonna be keeping it on. I have 4 more to choose from. So far my favorite is the poetic case.

So is anyone here using it to provide some feedback?
Thanks!
Would be keen to know if nay one has this yet, considerably cheaper than the Moko and looks identical.
It looks exactly identical to the moko ultra slim case that I have on my n7. It is probably just a rebranded moko.
Purchased case
Taking into account the shipping on the Moko its more or less three times cheaper, so I have bought the bullet so to speak.
I will endeavour to post my thoughts on it when it arrives. Delivery pending I should have the tablet and case by the 2nd Sept

Here are a few amateur snaps I took from my S3 (CM camera). The case came with a screen protector in which you can see I have failed miserably at applying, a stylus which I will never use and a small lint free cleaning cloth.
The magnet seems solid and when I hold the tablet glass side down the front flap stays put.
Any questions or photo requests let me know.
I'll post an update after I have used it for a few days.

I bought this cover today ( 9.95 € + 3€ shipping) from amazon !
Looks good!
Won't a magnet damage the screen?
Not bad for £2.90 from Amazon including shipping. It is slim and light.
It actually fits nicely into the Mivizu Neoprene sleeve.
The magnet works but would have been better if it is a clasp like the Blurex.
I feel the cover might move (if not inside the sleeve) when it is thrown inside a backpack and the backpack shifts.

Where you guys get it for so cheap?
I've ordered mine from eBay for 18€. Can't wait to get my hands on it.
I'm also doubtful about the magnet closure, I've never used any magnetic folder, so will you assure me it won't damage my precious Nexus 7?
The price has gone up to £9.90 -

As I said before I was worried about the magnetic case closure.
It was really hard to remove the Nexus 7 from the case.
I received my Blurex case via my friend in US. Its heavier than the InventCase and the clasp at the side make it feel secure. Fits nicely into the Mivizu Neoprene sleeve as well.
Mine arrived today, payed £1.99 + £2.75 shipping. Some pics https://plus.google.com/photos/1068...ms/5919832529468769553?authkey=CPefjKjstZjqTQ
The only difference from the MoKo one is the texture and I'd actually say that this (the InventCase) looks more premium than fake leather.

I bought this case in August when I got my Nexus 7, and I don't look back! This case is a beast, its not only quite cheap, but it is also good quality, and it gives the Nexus 7 a classy look when carrying it. They are pretty good about addressing customer complaints too. I ordered one in late August when I got my Nexus 7 and by early September I received a second case completely unexpectedly with a note about how the new one had been changed to correct customer concerns. Two cases for $12? Not too bad!
Is it really protective though ?
It looks very good but I'm concerned about sturdiness as I always accidently drop my devices..

It will protect from wear in a bag or something like that. Because its a rigid case, I don't think the fall protection would be that great (besides the screen which obviously would benefit from any case with a front cover). I have not dropped mine while in the case so I cannot speak to its just how much protection it affords. I mainly only use the case when I travel or bring it to work because I don't want it getting scratched up in my bag.
It's a Nice Case
It's a nice, practical case, though I doubt it would be a lot of help for dropping it. It also works with the Tylt Vu wireless charger.

Please do me a favor and check out my review video on the case on YouTube(link below). Please like and subscribe too as it helps a lot!! If you'd like to buy one of these from Amazon, there's a link in the description of the video and I will also post a link in this Forum thread too! thanks a lot!

Is it really protective though ?
It looks very good but I'm concerned about sturdiness as I always accidently drop my devices..

If you want real protection, get the Poetic Revolution, or the Gumdrop case http://www.amazon.com/Gumdrop-Drop-...id=1386303182&sr=8-1&keywords=gumdrop+nexus+7
Those are 2 of the most rugged cases made. I wish Ballistic made cases for the Nexus 7, as I've taken my Infuse phone and purposely thrown it 20ft up into the air and onto concrete just to prove how good the case is.
two months of use and the hidden shoddiness of so much Chinese merchandize is rearing its ugly head in the Poetic Slimline case. the magnets have loosened to the point of falling out and the plastic around them is cracking. Two months !
Thing flew out of my coat pocket getting into an SUV this morning.
The case took all the damage. Some scuffs on the front. Freaked out, and inspected the tablet. Still flawless.
Now I'm using the revised one they sent me a week after I ordered the original. Knew the free case would come in handy one day.
I had the original on there since they were first released and it still had no signs of wear. No cracking, peeling, nothing.
Highly recommend the case.
