Can you understand or even ask why he asked for sp**fed apps?!!!!
for me it is too simple
until now almost the whole middle east didn't get paid app service from samsung apps
Can you imagine how is bada look like right here?!!!!!
it is like weird platform used by idiots (excuse me for that word)who are so patient for it to be great
i don't support sp**fing but if samsung is not going to support our region then it should be done
Am i right?

Nope, spoofing apps in any case is a piracy, and it hurts bada and developers (who work hard to give us some apps) the most. You better write to Samsung and ask for opening paid version of Samsung Apps in your region instead of stealing someone's work. Therefore personally I give this topic -1.
love90, I understand your thoughts, but akuji is right: better make BIG trouble and write hundreds (or thousands) of e-mails and send them to samsung. also, form a group with a petition and go even bigger!
another thing: what is your problem? I can buy apps in ANY store everywhere of the world. if I do not like the apps in x, then I change the store to another country and buy them there. you can do this, too, I guess. ip faking is not even needed, I believe, but if it is needed, then just use one of million tools for that.
there is just NO reason to **** up the little programmers' base we have.
I don't have a Visa or Master card(should i hate myself for not having a one?!)
Also those damn cards for paying are not so popular right here
Another thing : i don't trust Samsung app to give them my card no. even if i have a one
I'd prefer using phone bill when it is available
E-mailed Samsung many times and they always say we are working on it and nothing happens
All my forums members did also so it is not about that
Samsung seems to be not interested in doing it
For my case i gathered important apps and added them to the firmware to use them until the paid service is out and i'll erase them and then buy them when they are available
1. I do rather not believe, you will erase apps later and buy them. Sorry, nobody is acting like that.
2. Now and for ALL TIMES: It is NOT Samsung's error, but the bad behaviour of PHONE CONTRACTORS, if P-Bill is not active in your country. You have to call your providers then and make trouble there.
3. You know, I thought you have NO possibility to buy apps, but now you are telling me it is just about the ****ing credit card? That is hilarious. So, you do not want to trust Samsung. Who else not? Flight companies? Amazon? Ebay? What do you want to do then with your credit card? Just sit and fart on it? =)
Seriously, there are 5000 prepaid credit card providers in the world which offer no further costs than aquiring the prepaid credit card. Every gas station even has them. So, you can buy your apps with those prepaid credit cards and have NO problem with your data, because those are anonymus.
Nowhere in the world there is a solid base/argument for spoofing apps ... and never forget, those app programmers usually are NOT big companies, but small groups or individuals (freelancers) with an age between 20 and 45 years. So, spoofers are really ****ing up someone's monthly income.

1. yes, that sucks. in Europe it does not, too, but therefore we have the hack. that is fine with me.
2. as I said, prepaid credit cards. that is working like a phone card. you can get/buy them everywhere for 10, 20, 50 or 100 €/$. gas stations, newspaper stores, ... everywhere. also, online, of course. with those you can buy apps in the samsung store. the best thing: they are anonymus. so, it does not even matter how old you are.

So, like many,I'm locked out of google Wallet. Would it be worth it to file an insurance claim and get a different nexus (new or refurb) or should I just hold off and continue to wait for a fix?
Any helpful input would be appreciated.

They would not process the claim based on an app not working

How did you get locked out?
Well if you're using a VZW Nexus it's blocked/locked form usage. Did you get the apk or? I have wallet on my VZW Nexus and I can use it freely.
Cant you "break in" into Google Wallet by deleting the data so it asks you for you to set your pin?
I don't even think the galaxy nexus is officially supported by google wallet and the application is blocked in the market by verizon. It may have been the wallet security measures which locked your account and you could try calling google wallet support to reset your account.
Try ODIN Flashing and Fastboot Flashing yourself to stock. I don't think it could actually fix it, but it's worth a shot I guess. There will probably be a fix in the future, either from Google or XDA (my money is on XDA), but it will definitely be a while. I sold my Nexus One before it ever got a custom HBOOT, which many thought no one would take up. I would ask for a refurb personally, as I like using GWallet and it's one of the reasons I bought the phone.

Also,I got locked out by not resetting data within the app before switching roms (like many others on here). I had it working and loved it. I'm getting tired of not being able to use it now though.

Secure Element is a hardware component. Verizon cannot deny a claim on a hardware issue. That said...how do you explain to those peons to know the difference? I assume that if/when the ISIS app comes out, it will use SE as well. Then it will be easier to show them that its hardware (maybe).
Google Wallet may be blocked from the market, but Verizon allows sideloading of apps. Nowhere in their warranty terms do they say, "You are explicitly not allowed to install Google Wallet."
From what I've read, your secure element has shut itself down. If this is true, you'll probably never get a fix from either Google or XDA.
The OP could print out some Google support posts showing that phones need to be replaced when this happens. Verizon cannot void a warranty based on Google Wallet. The phone has the capability. It is of no fault that the user has a corrupted SE.
Better be stock and locked though.
@OP, if you're within your returns period then you should be able to just take the phone back.
However, though morally questionable, other people on these forums have had success by intentionally placing their phone into a bootloop to get a replacement device.

Google Wallet on GNex
My GNex is about 2 mo. old and when I first got it, one of the first things I wanted to do with it was put Google Wallet on it. Unfortunately, that was during the time when there were so many issues with it. After much research on XDA,(thanks so much by the way!), I installed the .apk from Google Wallet website. I have the "Unsupported Device" banner at the top of the screen but for me it's not a big deal. I have used it at several businesses and it worked flawlessly. I have even added funds to the Google Prepaid card from my bank's VISA debit card. An added bonus is peoples amazement when I pay for something with my phone. Google Wallets "Cool Factor" is off the scale.

But honestly besides using it at mc Donald's which i dont go to anyways or or few other places where you can use it then its just not worth it for me. apparently i already have google wallet enabled online...my card is linked to my gmail for apps in the playstore...i guess i just need to log in...but im not sure i want to do that if its not useable at a lot of stores...and i dont want to stand there like a moron tapping my phone on a pay device and it not doing anything lol
if these paypass locations are really prevalent then it would be awesome thing to have...if its hit or miss, then theres no point
Try it?
What's the loss here, I don't get it?
But for me, yes, it is hit and miss.
I think it's due to lack of a decent pay pass here.
Our 7-11 works for me...usually.
Everywhere else it practically never does.

the loss:
1. a lot of people are getting locked out of google wallet after flashing new roms (i read that resetting the app prior to flashing something is needed)
id whether not risk it right now and wait until google wallet takes off in case i got locked out..then ill be mad when i cant use it when i actually want to
2. security reasons...i dont need my CC info stored on an extra app if im not even going to use it
I flash cm9 nightlies all the time and use wallet almost everyday. I don't get locked out. But i am only wiping cache and dalvik cache. If you are doing a full wipe between roms then it is advised to go into your google wallet app and de-provision your wallet so that you don't risk getting the secure element lockout. Also nandroid backups are always recommended. People got locked out a few weeks ago too because of a wallet security flaw they needed to patch so provisioning of new cards was disabled.
Security isn't a worry here especially if you're using a prepaid card. Everything requires your pin and also if you link it to a prepaid card the only thing at risk would be whatever small amount of prepaid money you have on there. If you had a remote wipe application you'd even be able to wipe your phone before anyone even attempted to guess your pin. Also let's not forget a quick call to the money network could disable your wallet just like you would with a traditional credit card.

I use it for small purchases at places like CVS, Duane Reade, 7-11. Always gets a cool reaction from cashiers.
the pop machines at my school (ohio state) have credit card/paypass readers. i use it all the time there. it makes me feel like im saving money by not actually feeding cash into it. i enjoy lying to myself!
I've tried it but it seems to me that unless I open the app beforehand, it takes more time than Swiping a card. Every time I put it on the reader without first having opened wallet beforehand, it asks me for my pin before it goes through. Seems to take more time. Now, if I open the app before placing it on the reader, it works well. it is pretty cool and saves a second maybe.

Used the free 10 bucks initially but haven't reloaded a card since then. Its too bad Google doesn't get more banks and credit card companies on board. I'm not going to waste my time loading prepaid cards when there's no added benefit.

Hey I'm at OSU too. I use Gwallet as much as I can because I want to push the standard. I agree it's annoying they don't have more options for debit or credit, but I'm willing to go out of my way a little bit to try and move things toward a digital wallet.

just want to see what reactions you get when you use google wallet, i have a couple ..
1.I was getting a soda from a machine that had NFC payment (my first use) ..there was a young girl with her father behind me as i put my phone up to the machine and then made my selection..the girl looked at my phone, then at her father, the look on her face was like (dad can you please explain what the heck just happened)
2. i went to the local 7/11 and as i paid with my phone the cashier was like "that is soooo cool, its on your phone??..wow neat"
Cashiers look at me like I just robbed them, lol. Like, "Hey wait, you didn't pay for that - or did you..? It says you did..."

I bought the NFS game that came as a demo on the phone. It is different than the one in the play store. It was paid through my tmobile account not the play store. If i root and put on a rom that does not include this demo I will not be able to use an app that I paid for. just as a FYI the one in the play store is a different version its not the one that came on our phone. This post is in response to a MOD closing and removing the apk in another thread. it is not illegal if it is a DEMO. if you paid for the demo it does not mean you can download the one in the play store for free. anyway lesson learned because the demo version on the phone doesn't even get updated so I will always wait and buy apps from Google play. if it was still on sale i would buy it again but not dropping another 7 for something i already bought. To the MOD that deleted the apk Please think before playing internet GOD.
Game can only be purchased through the Google Play legally. If you purchased it from somewhere else, who did you sent the payment to? If you have a receipt than you can try contacting Google for help.
You can save your game progress with Titanium Backup but your phone have to be rooted to use that app.
Also if a demo version is all you are looking for, there are plenty of rooted stock roms that already comes with the demo game.

maybe you didn't read the post. But you are wrong because when the phone first came out the game was not in the play store. it was on teh phone as a demo and when i purchased i was told the payment would be added to my next TMobile bill. The NFS in the app store says shows as not purchased and form what i am told the one that comes on the phone is a slightly different version. only problem with the version on our phone is that it doesn't get updated like the one in the store. I guess my best bet is to use a rooted stock rom and back it up with titanium. I hope the license stays intact im not sure how tmobile handles that.
As I've said if you have a receipt just contact who you purchase from or Google Play store to get help. How much did you pay for the game? If it's $6.99 it should be paid through Google. Are u sure your game is not a demo?

All you need to do is provide a link from the creator of the game that shows it free to download for EVERYONE, ANYTIME. But as you say you PAID for a demo, it IS warez if you provide it for free. {Who pays for a DEMO?} The app that comes with the Note II is a DEMO of the App in the Playstore. When you PAY for it, you get the app in the Playstore.
As T-Mobile doesn't sell apps, who do you think the app was purchased from? I buy a bunch of apps on the Playstore and charge them to my T-Mobile account.
Firstly the demo is not paid version. So demo is not warez. In fact the developer paid Samsung Mobile to have the demo in Galaxy Note 2.
I don't know if the upgrade from demo to full is through Samsung's app store, Google Play store or through the developer themself. So I have no idea how to get around this problem. I would email the developer about this problem.
I bought the full version on the Google Play store when the price was discounted to $0.99. So that is the reason for not knowing. Sorry.

I understand what the OP was trying to say but was not clear in explaining.
I also purchased the full version of NFS most wanted after playing the demo included on the note 2. It was an in app purchase for $6.99 that was charged to my T-mobile account.
If I go to the play store and search for NFS most wanted it comes up as costing $4.99. It does not say it is installed on my phone or purchased by me.
The issue will be when I root I will no longer have the version that came pre loaded on the note 2.
Is the apk of the demo really warez? If you can't download it from EA, Samsung, or T-mobile then I would say yes.
Still feel screwed over by T-mobile/Samsung on this one as it was miss leading since I thought I was purchasing an app from the play store, not some other market.

The game posted is still a demo. and to activate it you have to pay through tmobile. you ask why i would pay for a demo? is that a question for real? anyway yes i can back up the game once i have a stock rooted rom blah blah. I have been doing this before you owned a cellphone so no biggie. but you are the boss here so I will obey your rules if i want to play here. the reason i started this thread is because so brat too over the other one that but once again i hear the rantings of kids that can only talk **** behind a computer and aren't even old enough to have a mortgage.

Thanks for making it clear. I originally typed this from my phone. You understood what I meant without much detail due to the fact that you are in the same predicament. I would have hoped to get the response only from someone who was dealing with the same issue but instead people replied without knowing the details I failed to explain. From now on I will post as if I am speaking to my students and my children I long detail.

Understood and Noted, Sir. But your tone is lacking, I am addressing you and this thread in manner to better understand. BTW I would ask you realize I am not one of these kids....and no I am not the boss here or anywhere, I am a Member just like, and I contribute to XDA in my way as a Moderator. I have addressed you in an adult like manner, and Sir I am very aware of what a warez is, and your "for real" question, yes I asked if it was a paid demo.
Bottom-line this app or link, was it>> to a paid app demo or not.
Thank You & Thread Closed as per OP
