For some odd reason I cannot flahs any custom kernels. Whenever I flash some rom, the included kernel will work just fine. But if I flash another one, like franco or matr1x, I end up in bootloop, or stucks at boot. Anyone else experienceing this behaviour?
You need to make sure you flash a kernel that is built for the version of android you are using.
For example ARHD 2.1.1 is 4.0.2 so you can not use the Matr1x v1.5 kernel because it is built for 4.0.3
Always read the OP before flashing, the info is there
Edit: messed up my version numbers

I have the same problem - no matter what kernel I use or how I try to install it I have yet to find one that will work with a stock version of ICS 4.0.2 on my phone - they always freeze at the boot screen, I don't get any further.
I have indeed checked versions before flashing.

[XXLE4]Issue with custom kernel - disturbing reboots
Hi everyone,
I am facing an huge issue that make me unable to flash any custom kernel without rebooting.
I though it was because brand new XXLE4 cannot support 1k+ frequencies or may be another things than I could not have been imagine because of my poor informatic and linux knowledges but it seems that i am just unable to flash custom kernel. only the original CF-ROOT doing his job but others aren't.
May be because of the SetCPU apps but it is less sure that the origin take his effect from that apps. It is a quit anoying because I would have been set my Scary 120 - 1350 to get an impressive battery life with the brand new UC-Kernel but seems to be a mirage for me.
I had got some custom roms but I can't just use them because I want an real free-bugs ROM an official release are the only one option for me and my usual usage.
Thanks in advance for the help provided and I apologies for my bad english.
maybe EXT format?

4.0.2? I believe no custom kernels support 4.0.2 anymore. Updated/latest versions of said custom kernels at least. I think franco has a 4.0.4 version of his though i'm sure very few people are on 4.0.4, 4.0.2 is just a thing of the past.

How are you flashing kernels? What recovery do you have installed?

So, ive gotten a lot of junk on my phone recently so i decided to reflash the .62 Firmware. Now, after some days of use, every STOCK app has grown buggy. Gallery not loading pics, browser has infinite loading time, and widgets doesnt work properly.
I run Doomkernel v11 if it makes a difference.
When i reboot though, everything is fixed for a day or so. After that day; the problem returns.
What should i do ? Reflash Firmware ? Get a new kernel ?
Any help is very appreciated ;-)

Get a new custom ROM that is based on stock .62 firmware like what I'm using (JokaWild ROM >>> link is on my signature). When I flashed .62 I noticed those bugs and lags quickly so I flashed custom ROM to fix those things. And now, I'm very happy overclocked at 1.4ghz max and min of 576mhz and is not a battery drainer! ftw!
If your theory was to be true, then how can it be that the stock ROM that followed with the firmware was buggy too ? (using SE Tweaked now)
I have downloaded MIUI v4 2.8.24 from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1565194
I've tried various kernels and methods including the ones suggested in the different kernels and the rom installation instructions to get WIFI to work but i simply cant get wifi working at all, im currently on ArcKnight Kernel RC3.5.1 OC TEST, I was previously on Doomlords ICS Kernel and i flashed the Doomed wifi fix before flashing ArcKnights kernel but still cannot get wifi to work, any help would be appreciated
I've tried everything i can think of but no doubt its a simple fix and im now over thinking it too much
did u take the ram patch if so you need the wifi libs for the kernal ur using ark knight init if you didnt take the ram boost try the stock plus cwm+sd ext and its libs iff all else fails do a fresh install of latest fw then reflash the rom with out the patch for ram and it will boot straight away
my bad thought u meant this one =) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1851262
Wifi Modules
if you are using arcknight's kernel, you may have to flash his wifi modules to allow wifi to work, it can be found in his kernel thread, around the second or third post, if im not wrong.
I got the same problem with this one too... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1849403&page=7
I used the stock kernel and turn on wifi ... it keeps saying "turning wifi on ...."
hi all
after using PA and franco kernel for a while i decided to try out xenon hd + trinity kernel mostly cause i wanted to use the LG 4x lockscreen
so after downloading all the files needed i tried flashing it, the rom , kernel , and lockscreen and same as PA it entered a bootloop so i tried again thinking i might had flashed wrongly again another bootloop , so i tried codenameandroid again BOOTLOOP! i got a little traumatized and flashed back to PA and all is fine again and to be honest i don't know what went wrong and i am now using PA + trinity , is it cause the LG lockscreen is imcompatible with the roms? it's JR...something something ..so what am i doing wrong? i wasted about 2 hours with all these flashing and now i am scared as hell to enter cwm

Hello people!
As the thread title says, I'm actually searching for a KitKat-based Rom for my girlfirend's E975. Stock KitKat by LG worked fine for her, but the battery life was crappy. So I unlocked the bootloader, flashed ClockworkMod and SolidKernel afterwards. Battery life was fine now, but she has been facing random slowdowns every few minutes since I installed the Solid Kernel. I also tried JollaKernel and it also had those slowdowns.
I'm now thinking about flashing a new Rom for her. What are you using? Which works the most stable for you?
Thanks in advance!
ArtMod is very popular and is stable..Flash its latest version
