[Q] SuperSu Not instaling root binary? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I flashed 4.3 stock on my Galaxy Nexus, installed TWRP, and flashed this version of supersu in recovery http://download.chainfire.eu/345/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.51.zip
For some reason, when I open supersu, I get this prompt: http://i.imgur.com/thgXsFh.png
I would have thought flashing the supersu zip in TWRP would install the binary needed?

There is no SU binary installed, And superSU cannot install it. THis is a problem.

[Q] SuperSU not installing

I am unlocked and trying to root Android 5.0.1. I have TWRP installed as recovery and I install SuperSU from a zip through TWRP, but when I check SuperSU in Android it says no SU binaries are installed. What am I doing wrong?

Click to collapse
Try to change recovery. For example, Philz Recovery.

Tried PhilZ, same result.
I really need some help here, please... I can't find anything useful when googling either.

TWRP says there is no root/superSU.. OS says differentlyu

I'm currently running the stock SM-T310 4.4.2 build. I have my device rooted (verified by Root Checker Basic) and I have SuperSU installed via Play (SuperSU Free v2.4).
Yet every time I am in TWRP and attempt to flash a rom, the ROM install fails immediately and at Reboot, TWRP asks if I want to install/fix Root permissions. What is going on and why is there a discrepancy?

Rooted but can't use superuser permissions

Hi, I rooted my G3 after downgrading to KitKat. I downloaded the Chuppa Rom and installed it successfully. I've flashed a recovery successfully too. I've got a SuperUs app but it doesn't seem to work. When I go into Titanium Backup and ES file explorer and when they ask for superuser permissions and I click 'grant', they say that there was an error or that there's no root permissions given.
How do I proceed?
download supersu from the play store.
Had the same problem.
It was solved by flashing the zip version of supersu.
It's in supersu thread (CWM / TWRP / MobileODIN installable ZIP)

Device Status shows custom but no root

I have a galaxy s3 I747UCUFNJ2 that I tried rooting with CF-Auto-root, installed TWRP recovery and managed to get SuperSU updated but when i go to open SuperSU it won't open with message: "There is no SU binary installed, and SuperSU cannot install it. This is a problem!" Device status shows custom instead of official. I dont want to have to totally wipe the phone just root with no custom rom.....
What am I forgetting??
Since you have TWRP, just flash supersu.zip from TWRP.
Try busybox from play store
Do you have Knox?
You might need to freeze it with TIBU or remove it.
