Does anyone know if the audio latency has improved in the new N7 over the 2012 version (70ms) ?

it does seem to run a bit better with caustic now
What does Caustic say for latency in ms?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Just to answer my own question. Latency is 40ms. Same as N4 and Galaxy Nexus.

No it's not. The Numbers from Caustic are basically garbage. See refined-apps.com / music/latency-nexus-7-2013

Anyone use this? I've heard that this app greatly increases the volume coming from the speaker on some phones. Anyone try it on the nexus?
I use it and it works great, night and day difference. The dev offers it for free directly from his site

Do you have a link?
Also, don't you have to put in certain settings? What settings do you use?

Really? Couldn't read the other threads on this? lol.
I was told that it hampers performance for many apps, so I disabled it..
In conclusion, I am not using Forced GPU rendering.

I have mine on. Don't really notice any difference.

In apps that don't have gpu rendering enabled by default you see a very big difference in scrolling performance when you force enable it. e.g tapatalk 1.x (2.x uses gpu by default so no difference)
It only improves performance in the apps that don't have hardware acceleration enabled by default. I keep mine off because some apps (like Engadget) glitch out when forced to use the GPU and don't display things properly.
This phone's CPU is fast enough that GPU acceleration isn't exactly needed. It does make a noticeable difference, though.
New to the tablet world. Never had to worry about messaging on a different device other than my gnex. Is it possible.
