I have not done a scientific study, but just from a subjective standpoint I don't notice any difference (on either device).

Battery life...

Okay I've been reading reviews on people getting 20 hours on battery with the same usage as I am, but my battery dies around 12-15 hours which I think is pretty good. Well I'll post up screenies to show you guys. Just checking if my battery life is normal before jumping ahead and buying a new battery.

I'm getting about that with about 6 hours of audio play mixed in.

May I ask how battery life is on AOSP roms, like cm?
So what's the overall way to increase battery without disabling the awesome features of this phone? I read in this thread to over charge for an hour or two, but in another thread it says not to over charge the battery... I'm confused

It all depends on how you use your phone. If you have a bunch of apps synching, terrible reception, and the screen on the brightest setting all the time you most likely won't get good battery life. I'm more than happy coming from the Nexus 4 though. That phone had horrendous battery life.

I just set up my galaxy s 4 to do the same, I'll try it for a few days. I just use tasker to set it to turn off internet unless I have an app open which requires it.
You can set it to turn on internet and sync at intervals too.
I didnt really change anything. Shut off all features. Brightness like 25%. But I did underclock to 1.3ghz. Which stilll ran really smooth.

ohh well dont worry about it if during the day your phone last at least 10 hours of overall use then dont worry ...but if the battery drains quickly then it might be the ROM, or your battery or multiples widgets are running all day
Your phone should not get very hot (if at all) while charging.
Two main reasons this will occur
1. Wrong voltage on AC charger (if you're not using stock)
2. Rom/Kernel issues
I've definitely experienced my phone getting hot when streaming HD video or playing cpu/gpu intensive games for a while.

That is perfectly normal. Thats where the processor is situated. It is normal for the CPU to reach temps of around 70 degrees under heavy usage. As long as the phone isnt shutting itself off because of overheating you are fine!
These phones tend to get hot at times, if it is hot all the time then you have an issie.

Terrible Battery Life :(

I think I got a dud because my battery life is sucking real bad. I had G2 for over a week and I have to say, the battery on G2 blows Note 3 out of the water which bums me out. I mean 7% in 35 minutes is simply unacceptable. Anyone else having similar problems? Should I take it back to the T-Mobile store and ask for a replacement? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Yeah these screenshots without on-screen time are useless.
Even 10 minutes of on screen time for 3% is pretty good - that's on track for 5.5 hours of on-screen time.

I have one also, it's in my second floor transmitting down to the receiver on the first floor. It works okay. I don't get 4 bars, but I also don't get dropped calls anymore and usually have 2 to 3 bars depending on where in the house I am.
Mine was free also because I complained about my coverage. I wouldn't pay too much for one though, unless you get a really good signal from the second floor that you can use.

Got one free from T-Mobile.
I was having almost no reception and this stopped the dropped calls but the gain is not like getting full bars while without gets none, if you know what I mean. It just makes the phone usable without having to use your wifi for calling. My wifi calling wasn't good for many contacts. They kept saying my voice was breaking up using the wifi so I asked t-mo to help improve the service for me and they sent the booster. No extension on the contract, no charge for the unit, and not even a charge for shipping.
Sometimes they surprise me with their customer service, and sometimes they just stink!
I guess it depends on who is "helping" you.
Bottom line, the booster works. You cannot amplify a ZERO SIGNAL so remember, you at least have to have something like 1 or two bars and it will work. They even replaced the unit after 7 months cause the signal was getting weak in the house so they said the booster was failing. Again, Free-99 for the replacement. Can't grumble about service like that.......
