Factory image is here:
http://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#razor
After flashing, do
fastboot oem lock
to lock the bootloader.

Can't unroot galaxy nexus for warranty return

Hey guys can't remove superuser after rooting device I have tried every thing I used superboot r3 to root device originally
Any ideas how to fix
Thanks
If you are using a stock rom just use fastboot oem lock.

You need to flash the stock image from Google and then fastboot oem lock
I don't have the Nexus, but on my OG SGS this was as simple as flashing back to a stock FW using Odin...

This! In the gsm dev section look up chainfires 4.0.2 odin image. Then see if you can use fastboot to relock bootloaders.
You don't need to use ODIN at all, you can do it via fastboot with the Google 4.0.2 image from here:

I agree, but odin is another option...
Thanks for your comments guys but I have flashed to stock using fast boot but has not removed to root. Ie superuser as it's still rooted
I have read all dominations of solutions without success
It must be how I had rooted the device using super boot in the first place can't unroot after using this exploit had the same issues looks like. I have no warranty if I return this if I can't solve this problem
Thanks
Check out the guide here

what the problem is that by just flashing, stuff is leftover. U need to do a full wipe, including the system partition in cmw. Then flash and all should be fine. Just for future reference.

PS post if they say anything about it still not having warranty. On the Xoom, it still says it not warranted after u get it relocked and back to stock. Hope it doesn't apply to the nexus.

[Q] 'SuperUser' still installed after factory reset. Is this normal!?

After using a toolkit to root my device, i decided to try and do it manually so i can learn more of the rooting process. I used the toolkit to flash the stock images etc, then i reset the phone to factory settings, but the 'Superuser' 'app' was still there. Is this normal, and does this mean my factory reset was unsuccessful?

If you flashed the stock images, that app will disappear. If you just reset your device, that app will remain because it resides in /system -- when you rest, you just erase /data
I did flash stock recovery (i think), fyi im using the GalaxyNexusToolkit. Superuser still shows up...any suggestions?
Did you restore your Google apps? I'm sure that's dumb but could it have just redownloaded?

Flashing a stock recovery won't erase SU. Su is in /system so unless you over write or format /system it won't go away. So make sure you downloaded the proper factory image and put in the proper folder for the toolkit to actually flash. As the previous poster said a factory reset doesn't erase/system only /data.
You have to unroot before you flash anything if you want superuser to go away.

That's not entirely true. Flashing a stock system image will make Superuser go away. Wiping the system partition will make Superuser go away...

That's what he said, but it would seem that he only flashed the stock recovery image, not all the images. Flashing the stock system image will certainly get rid of the superuser app.

Obviously he didn't really do that or it failed, since if he really did flash stock images properly, SU will be gone.

no, he said he used the toolkit to flash the images. it clearly did not flash the system image and over-write everything in the /system folder.
another reason toolkits are just bad if you dont know what you're doing.

If you have the twrp u will have get back to stock recovery... most probably u'll have to:
Flash the chinafines stock rom from the original android dev thread, run the triangle away app to reset the modif counter, run the unroot from the super su app) & only after that to boot into stock recovery to reset the whole phone.... once thats done the phone is a virgin)

factory reset it (just to be safe) then grab and flash the appropriate image from here:
https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images
In theory as long as you do not tamper with the flash-all.bat / flash-all.sh it will perform a wipe but it doesn't hurt to do a wipe before flashing. then use fastboot to lock the bootloader and you are back to out of the box stock configuration.

you need to flash the boot.img from your backup for the phone to boot properly. if you're s-off then it should have done it by itself but i'm going with that you're s-on so you need to flash the boot.img from your pc.
and fastboot erase cache ater the boot.img flash, to prevent boot issues
Thanks all for help it all works now
