Question about aosp roms - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

I just recently switched frim the LG optimus l9 tomobile to the galaxy s3 for sprint ive rooted the phone and have tried many aosp roms but I keep running into a error that is very bothersome that states I have no sim card inserted when I know for sure that sprint gs3 doesnt have a sim card and it only happens with aosp when I use tw roms it doesnt give me that issue any ideas?

Well technically the sprint phone does have a sim card it's just embedded in the phone and not accessible and removable. I don't use aosp roms on my S3 so unfortunately I can not tell you more on this.

Carrier Crossover...

I'm wondering if I can like flash the factory ROM/radio/bootloader for the Sprint Galaxy Nexus onto the Verizon one and basically turn it into a Sprint phone?
I know they're really the same device so I think it could be done with the Nexus Toolkit easily, but before I try I want to know if it really can be done, I know any carriers Sim Card works so why not this too?
Thanks to any that provide info

Not a chance.
verizon cdma radio will work fine on sprint, no need to try to flash a sprint one.
lte obviously will not work at all no matter what you try.
of course getting sprint to recognize the phone is another matter and more trouble then its worth considering the same phone is available on sprint with working lte.

They are not the same device. They are sufficiently different hardware that you wouldn't be able to activate even if you found a Sprint CSR that would be willing to lose their job by adding the MEID to their database

Hacked:Sim Cards!

Just found out that someone finally discovered a way to hack Sim card's. Don't know about you guys but I'm a bit concerned. They say that 5 million phones could be affected. What does you guys think?

The article I read said it was only a certain type of older sim that was vulnerable, and even then the hack didn't work 100% of the time. If you have an older sim and you're worried, go to a Tmo store and tell them you need a new sim. Then you should be fine. If you got your sim recently, you're already good.
Trust me, SIM cards are next to impossible to hack. I have my s3 and I want to use both phones (obviously one will be off while using the other) use the s3 at work so not to break my beloved s4. Use s4 at home and when out. Got a SIM card reader and spent days figuring out how to clove it. Second you touch the SIM card, to figure out it's ki, boom SIM card is locked and destroyed. As was said before only the older ones are able to be touched.

One more question even though my phone is unlock I thought that the phone will work if you put in a SIM card from another carrier that it would work even though they are on different networks?

[Q] Tmobile Samsung S3 soon to be on Aiowireless, Which Roms?

Ok so I have just received my unlock code from Tmobile for my Samsung S3.
I have just ordered a micro sim from AioWireless since I have decided to give them a whirl and see if I would get better signal in my area (my signal has been blah for the last year).
So with that in mind, Do I still install roms from the this forum(s) and just change APNs or do I have to start using roms from the At&t S3 forum?
Just trying to figure out the best way to go, and most importantly the correct way.
Thanks in advance.
You can still flash ROMs meant for the t999 and change the APNs...you should also be able to flash AT&T Roms without an issue, just make sure the APNs are correct.

always flash for your device, not your carrier. just a good simple way to look at it i think

(Q) rooted sgs 3 tmobile data not working

I gave my sgs3 with to a relative working perfectly I was running wicked 10.1 rooted. I reinstalled the Rom and wiped everything so I would be like new rooted wicked 10.1 he upgraded his SIM card with tmobile and now data does not work. How can I get this working for him? What reason why data not work? I'm confident they gave him the right SIM card.

No idea tbh. First I've heard of a new SIM doing something like that. Maybe they gave him an old one by accident?
Best bet imo is to flash the firmware with Odin and factory reset again. Test while full stock. If its still giving problems then its prob a faulty sim.

They gave him a new SIM he didn't have a smart phone prior. He took the phone in to tmobile and they gave him a smart phone SIM.
