I don't know of any that are straight AOSP besides Cyanogen but you could always try DamageControl and then ban Sense via DConfig. I did that for a little while and it was just like Cyan except it wasn't Cyan - it was DC I'm still running Cyan though. I think there's another ROM that lets you ban Sense too but it's not ringing any bells at the moment. Just head on over to the Android Development threads and take a few minutes to cruise through the offerings. I'm sure you'll find the one ROM I can't think of that lets you go either way (yeah, yeah that's what she said, I know, I know lol

I remember seeing a senseless rom. I think bugless east is AOSP
All,
I've recently discovered these 2 'Slim' ROMs, and was very excited to have done so...
My excitement soon turned to sorrow, however, upon learning that these slimmed down ROMs haven't been ported to Gio.
Now, KUDOS to the developer(s) that created them but wouldn't it have been a good idea to make it so that they can run on lower, less-powerful phones like the Gio? Currently, they only run on much more powerful phones, that have tons of RAM and power. These phones can handle full blown ROMs just fine, the Gio....not so much.
Just a thought.
Man! I wish I could get one of these for my Gio! I'm contemplating trying to install it on my Gio. It's not my everyday phone anyway. I only use it for data usage because I have an INSANE data plan on that phone. I have another phone that I use for calls, etc.
if its currently only for high end devices there's no way coming to gio.

What you've done here is akin to telling a kid that Santa doesn't exist, or like telling a fat kid that the candy's all done. :crying:
Only kidding bud.
Should I try it on my phone? What to do. What to do.
if its for arm v7(galaxy s and higher, htc desire and higher nexus s and newer , etc theres no way bringing it to gio
I've ported the Slim series, once. But it was buggy for me and i decided to discontinue it (Didn't want to fix the bugs...)

LOL.
Wouldn't have the slightest clue how to do it. Plus, my life is such that I barely have time to sleep as it is.
That being said, is there anyone knowledgeable person who could possibly make a thing ROM (ICS/JB) specifically for the Gio? Any Gio lovers developing still?

Bud, I started this post to discuss the "SlimICS and SlimJB" ROMs.
I was wondering if someone could make slimdowned versions of ICS and JB specifically for Gio 5660...
LG P500? LOL. How did that get in here? LOL

Oh damn... I was talking about a rom in the LG P500 forums, called "SlimICS".
LOL I didn't know you meant slimmed down ics and jb... LOL u could've just said so.
If that's the case. Anyone could do that! Even I could whip up a "SlimJB" and "SlimICS" in minutes....
nono, i believe he means he wants a port of the slimics series rom, which is also on lg p500 forums, so technically, you are both right
and not barebones, he wants the rom i think but doesnt know it exist on lg500

Barebones? Heavens no.
Question, would the P500 work on the 5660? Oh! Poster did state that it's buggy. So forget about that.
Thanks all.
Still, any developers feel to work on SlimICS/SlimJB for Gio 5660? Puh-leaseeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!
it seems that the all "one" family is just ignored by CM, what is the reason?

There is a cyanogen mod for the One series?
Have you tried LOOKING for it?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1786696
Its not officially supported yet, but like the poster above me said, there are several highly functional unofficial ports. One series is relatively new, if you look at the officially supported list, you would see that the list is relatively short , even some of the other more popular devices like the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note are not there either.
http://get.cm/?device=endeavoru
Pretty official, its on their download distribution site.

facepalm yourself noob.
i'm asking why there isnt an OFFICIAL support to the One family, i saw nightly version of CM9 and unofficial port of CM10, but nobody of you guys say why CM doesnt support our device.
and please before do stupid comment as "Have you tried LOOKING for it?" please look my signature and my join date in this forum...
so if anyone know why please reply, maybe is because we cant still S-OFF or because Tegra3 has bad driver/kernel support?

It is basically down to the the Tegra3 yes, being new and closed source drivers.

linus is right, f**** you nvidia..
And, as of right now, all of the Non-Sense JB ROMs are battery killers.
I have tried a few others, liquid, alien, atom etc and none just seem to add up. I hate to sound condescending and by no means disrespectful but im looking for some others to play with. Customizable, leds, softkeys, statusbars, are some of the features I use a lot.

CM10, duh. I've tried quite a few as well and ended up going back to CM10. Their new update service is pretty slick if you flash a lot. I stick with CM's own kernel because it was designed for his build. Cyanogen has obviously put forth the most work in building android out of any developer out there and this is why I trust his work more than others on here. Multiple people are responsible for changes to the code and review what is to be submitted and not submitted for a better overall experience/compatibility; not just some random Joe Schmo developer tinkering with code.
You can't argue that Cyanogen and his team are the best devs on here, no one here has come close to what he's done with his build system for all of the devices he builds for. He makes CM a simple extension to vanilla android and compliments it very well.
I didn't even like sorcery when I tried it..
paranoidandroid for me
"I don't mean to be condescending" and "don't want any drama" do not belong in a thread such as this. You were better off trying all of them, and not some of them (and thinking it was all of them) and making a decision for yourself..

Sure you can, and that isn't fair. People have blinders on if they think only CM are the best. CM is a team of over a 100 devs. They have the manpower needed to do what they do. Nobody else does.
One of CM's recent features that they tried to play off as totally original (and many believe it), was in a rom a month prior, the commit provided by someone who has no such "dev" status.
There is talent everywhere. CM is not the answer to it all.
good roms are never supposed to be mentioned. just saying. silly

maguro or toro?
heres maguro http://fitsnugly.euroskank.com/?rom=rasbeanjelly&device=maguro
if you have a toro, press toro on the right side of the page. if you have a toro plus, UBER started a thread in the toro+ section. all the rasbean jelly rom support can be found in the trinity kernel thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1455874&page=2267
No offense taken. I just think what CM has does is the cleanest solution to a custom build of android for mobile devices. And there's a reason they have so many developers on their team.. and don't forget Cyanogen himself.

From the Roms I've tried (which is every single one) I've found that cm10 is one of the lower on the totem pole when it come to features. A great ROM yes super fast and super stable yes but as for features.... not so much.

You're talking minimal differences man. How many more features does AOKP have over CM10? It's not as many as you think if you list them all, and besides, the CM team has their own that AOKP doesn't have.

What feature? I agree with you, it's not like Cyanogen, steve, whatever his name is, is doing the work for a few dozen devices. I just want to know what feature you're talking about?
Sorcery is nice but for me the performance wasn't there. Xenon HD seems to work best for me

Will someone for the love of God please make an AOKP and PA hybrid rom for the Sprint gnex lol. It doesnt even have to be 4.2, 4.1.X is fine.
I would totally attempt to make it myself but i am not skilled in developing or coding. An i need a more powerful computer with a good cpu before i can start anything.
I only ask because i havent seen and hybrid roms with these to customs rom except for PAC man and that is only for gsm as far as i know. Would anyone be willing to make this rom or even port the PAC man rom over to sprint gnex? I will test and do what i can to help.
