[Q] info display on car stereo via bluetooth and Google Acct Sync - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

when my S3 is in stock, connecting to my Mazda via BT. I can see all my song title, battery info displayed on car stereo.
after I flashed AOKP, BT connection to my car is no problem, but I cannot see those anymore. all I see is "Samsung Galaxy S3"
is there any app or setting change I can do to get the info display back?
Also, Google acct suppose back up all the apps i installed before, and will restore it after reinstall a new rom.
during the initialization stage, it did prompt me if I want to restore all apps. I skip that step, though later on I'll restore them
Later one, I tried the setting many times, it won't restore any apps, but I do see all my old apps listed under Play Store/My Apps.
after I install old app manually, I thought google acct will at least sync app data, it doesn't work.
all the password, saved calendar, setting, recorded voice chat, game progress and trophies are not there anymore?
do you know how to fix it?
Thank

Did you ever figure out this problem? I don't necessarily want to go back to touchwiz but this is a deal breaker for me. Pandora still displays on my in dash but nothing from the basic Bluetooth.

Music + Jellybean - no online option?

Apologies if this is in the wrong place, please feel free to move it around!
I've updated my Nexus to JB and all is well. I've never really used the music app, but in preparation for my Nexus 7 arriving, I've done the "hack" to allow Google Music access from the UK - it's currently uploading my music as I type.
On my device though, I can't see it. The help says I should be prompted for which account to use, but this doesn't seem to happen. I've also checked under "Accounts and Sync" for my google account, and all looks happy (except no option for music is even listed).
Can anyone advise what I need to do to get it working?
Actually, I managed to use the hack too, but still have the same problem. I think you answered to yourself. It's a hack..so it's suppose maybe not to be fully operational.
I've been using Google Music in the UK more or less since it lauched & it works perfectly fine for me.
Under settings in the Music App does it list a Google Play Account? (Should be at the very top)
I'm using Google Music for a few month now as well and had a similar problem.
Try clearing the cache of the Music App. At least that solved the problem for me that a few albums where not showing on my phone.
download Titanium backup. go to your apps defrost Google music
Thanks everyone, I did a "clear data" and it's showing stuff now

Google Play Store Error over Wifi

I’ve had my Epic 4G since August of last year. I ended service with Sprint in the following month and bought the Epic 4G outright to use as an Android device. So I have no data plan on it, I can only go online and download things if there is a wifi connection present. Since I have no home wifi, that means a lot of trips to McDonald’s and Starbucks and the local library. The phone I use to make calls is a cheapo phone on Cricket’s network.
Anyway, a couple of weeks ago I rooted my phone using QBKing’s tutorial video on Youtube. I am now on Gingerbread.FC09. Everything seemed to work fine. I went to a wifi spot, downloaded Titanium Backup from the Google Play store, everything still worked. I used Titanium Backup to delete four things: Amazon MP3, Nascar, Sprint Football, and Sprint TV & Movies. Nothing else. After that deletion, however, when I try to go to the Google Play Store on a wifi connection, it closes. Not force closes, just…opens than closes as if it was never open in the first place.
I have tried:
-talking to QBKing himself about it (he can’t figure it out either)
-clearing the partition
-clearing the Delvik cache
-finding the most recent version of Google Play Store, downloading it to my phone via mass storage, and installing it by double clicking the apk
-Uninstalling updates for Google Play Store (“clear cache” and “clear data” is always greyed out)
-Deleting Titanium Backup
None of these actions have had any effect. I can still surf the net normally, even upload videos to Youtube. Nothing has been effected except my ability to open Play Store. I even get update notifications that I have apps that need updating.
I have searched xda and while I have found threads with similar issues, none for the Epic 4G. I am not sure if I should take an answer I saw for a completely different phone by a completely different maker and apply it to mine. Plus I wonder if my problem is unique given that I have a phone with no service.
Other info that might help:
-I have Google Services Framework Version 2.3.7. I can’t seem to find a more recent version of that.
-Kernel Version is 2.6.35.7
-No roms, at all, I’ve been too focused on trying to get Google Play Store to work again to even think about getting and flashing roms.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Okay...I went through Accounts and Sync and selected the google account under Manage accounts. Selected remove account, got the warning if I really want to delete it, I selected remove account...then got a popup saying I can only remove this account by resetting the phone to factory defaults.
I've already backed up my phone through clockwork (ate up a bit of my microSD card but its there). So if the only way to delete my Google account is to factory reset my phone, I can get it all back in recovery? But won't it also "recover" the same problem?

Set up another google account, then delete your original one, then set it back up... it will only let you delete your google account if you have more than one set up....
I'm in your shoes as I use my non-activated Epic 4G over WIFI. Do yourself a favor and reflash with Cyanogenmod 9 release ROM and apps:

My Epic 4G has become great to awesome after doing so and Google Play works fine.

Okay, I just went to the local McD's for wifi, set up another Google account, tried to delete the old one...and it gave me the same warning that I have to reset the phone to factory settings to do this. Apparently the first Google account is connected to too many things to just delete it.

I believe you need to clear the data/cache from the Google account manager app in order for it to let you delete that account.
It's one of the google apps anyways. Can't remember exactly which one at the moment.

Okay I have the cyanogenmod saved to my sd card, but I can't seem to download the gapps zip from your link nor from google searches. I'll give it a try when I can. I am kind of hesitant to do this, but...I've already backed up everything in recovery plus I reinstalled Titanium Backup and backed up my apps, so...I should be good to go whenever the gapps zip becomes available. For now I am going to try and figure out what app GuidingArrow is talking about.
Okay, I found a functioning gapps from the official wiki site. So I have flashed my phone following, again, a QBKing tutorial. This Cyanogenmod seems pretty cool. My camera seems to be downgraded, but other than that, nice. I am about to go to a McD's and...hope for the best regarding the Google Play store.
Problem Solved
When I flashed it to Cyanogenmod 9, I soft bricked my phone by trying to install backup (oops). So, I used Odin to restore to stock then rerooted.
Turns out the problem all along was...nothing was mentioned in the vid I saw about flashing the gapps right after flashing the rom. But It was mentioned in the video for flashing to Cyanogenmod 9, so when I restored to stock and then rerooted I flashed gapps this time. And voila, I have the Google Play Store working again. I used Titanium Backup to restore my apps, readded my Google account, and everything is fine and dandy again.
The only thing is, I have decided not to go back to Cyanogenmod 9 for now, not without more research. One of the most important features on the Epic 4G (to me anyway), is the camera, and when I was briefly on Cyanogenmod 9 before I soft bricked my phone, the camera seemed...downgraded, to have less features than it has now. Just going to do more research on that end before flashing it again.

Problem syncing Google music downloads to SW3

Cant for the life of me get google music to work on the SW3 (paired with a S7 Edge running stock marshmallow). Anyone had similar?
Downloaded 2 playlists to my phones internal memory as instructed online, one of my own uploaded music to the service, and one of music i hadnt uploaded (signed up for a google music trial to see if that was the reason).
Phone and watch are connected in the actual wear app fine etc. Set up properly in the google music app settings and can see the playlists both there ready to go to the watch from the 'manage wear downloads' section and my watch shows, opened up the app on the watch and then 'play on wear', eventually after maybe 15 seconds it shows all my available playlists and the 2 playlists id downloaded onto the phone are in orange, but nothing happens after that. No sync. Even though i set it to sync when it asked me when first opened the app on the watch. I can select and deselect playlists and an orange tick card pops up at the bottom of the screen, when i click that it just goes back to the watch main face. Left it to see if it starts but nothing.
Tried factory resetting the watch, uninstalling updates for play music on phone, updating again, clearing cache of the app, even clearing the cache on the phone, watch fully charged or on charge, same with phone, also tried 2 bluetooth headsets to see if it wasnt picking that up right.
Anyone think of anything ive missed (apart from factory resetting the phone)? cheers.

I'm not sure if this will help, but you might try unpairing the watch from the phone and then go into the Google Play Services settings and wipe the Wearable Storage data. Then factory reset the watch and wipe the data on the Android Wear companion app... reboot the phone and watch... and then pair the watch with the phone again.
That should give you a fresh start and hopefully help to get things synced up.

unpaired the watch, went into play services and wiped the wear storage. Factory reset the watch and cleared the data in the wear app and uninstalled it. Rebooted both and set it all up again from scratch. Opened the app on the watch and turned on music sync. Initially said i needed to plug in power which i did, and then it showed the playlists, clicked on the ones i had been testing with and then the orange tick and it goes back to the watch face as before. Checked the settings in the play music app and all looks as it should. Still wont sync. :silly:
Unpaired with S7 Edge, factory reset and setup with my LG G Pad, worked a treat, music sync'd without any issue.
Unpaired, reset etc and set back up fresh with the S7 Edge. Same issues. Arghhhhh!!!
Wonder if its something permissions related on the S7 thats doing it not allowing the transfer of files to the watch. Saying that tested with wear media app and that sync'd across music files fine. Anyone any ideas?
Managed to get this sorted.
Was reading through this
https://productforums.google.com/forum/m/#!msg/android-wear/DGr1WPiy9Po/Sv6ThhXmDAAJ
And saw a comment about taking out the sd card, so did so and it worked immediately even though play music was saving to the internal storage. Very weird. But glad it's sorted.

There was music files on the sd card but not relating to Google play music, must have been trying to scan this possibly. Who knows. Anyway, yeah hopefully someone finds it useful.

Ok Google not working on Wear 2.0

I have an issue, Ok Google keyword is activated in the options of wear 2.0 but the keyword does nothing. if i long press the button the assistant come in but the keyword don't work. Is there a workaround? Am i the only one with this issue?
On my watch it works well.

Already activated but no effect, trying factory reset
Ok, just pinpointed the issue, "ok google" works only if the language is set to english, don't work in french...
Problem was here too. I do reset/wipe my watch and now all work. And now battery is better. Yesterday in 12 hours 80%, today after reset in 6 hours 10%
Working now after 3 factory reset and changing language to english and to french thereafter.
Same problem after the OTA : Ok google doesn't work ! long press the button works fine !
After factory reset all works perfectly !
I have the same problem. I also noticed that instead of using assistant on push held it defaults to google search. That's why the keywords aren't working. I have factory reset my watch at least four times and the problem comes back after a couple of days. I am in English US and have switched it back and forth just for kicks. Has anyone had any luck?
edit: I also noticed my Talkback services are buggy and don't provide and example when I tap on the icon under the settings

Did you actually take the time to read my post? I mentioned I have done that several times and the problem keeps coming back.
Hello joeanca
Yes I've taken time to read your post, and I don't understand why a factory reset don't resolve your problem. Because, for myself it resolves it.
Perhaps somebody else could have a new idea to help you
I have the same issue. Factory reset only fixes the issue for a few hours then it happens again (I think once they lose the connection between them (for example because of distance) and reconnect again. Factory reset also enables wi-fi again. The issue is that if the watch is connected only through Bluetooth with wi-fi closed, google assistant and play don't work , if you go in watch settings it says disconnected in Bluetooth but no "cloud" icon pops up at the screen and on phone Bluetooth settings it says connected furthermore the watch works perfectly like receiving notifications changes song track etc. Oh also the silence phone setting from android wear app doesn't work
I just had this problem and resolved it by dumb luck.
I originally synced two Google Accounts to my watch. After updating apps on the watch, OK Google detection hasn't worked.
I found that my default account in Google Assistant on my phone had changed from my primary account. I removed all but my primary account from the watch, and selected my primary account in Google Assistant. OK Google now works again on the watch.

This exactly my problem. The phone says it is connected and the watch works, but the Assistant only says it is offline and cannot understand me. That drives me crazy. I have only one account synced. This Thread is the only thread so far that has my exact problem in it. I know it is a little older, but is there anyone with an idea?
thx and regards
My issue is the Ok Google gets locked into a loop. Whatever the first command I speak to it after Ok Google.. it just loops. Be it What is the time, what day is, send a message, etc. it keeps looping on that command. only seems to affect my Huawei watch 2 classic. phone doesn't have the same issue. have rebooted watch. If i swipe the google assistant away and execute another command, it loops on that one. I have both Facer and Watchmaker watchface apps installed. an issue like this should not have been present in a beta stage so I have to wonder.. what could I have on my watch causing this?
--edit--
Well... it seems Wear 2.0 does NOT like more than one account on a watch. I had three accounts hooked to the watch. My phone's private account. My professional email account, and a purchases account. 3 accounts. Seems that just wasn't how it wanted to work things. As soon as I cut out the pro and purch accounts it starts acting right. I have one account that my android devices get to access for uniformity of data but nothing else gets to use it. I have several emails for various purposes.
So if you have more than one account, as others have found.. remove them down to a single account. Things will probably start working right.
And its back to looping. basically.. if I say Ok Google, then wait for the ready prompt and give it a command "Set an alarm" it will process that command, ask when I want the alarm for, but feed itself the "Set an Alarm" command, ask when, feed command back to itself, ask when... on and on.
Had the same problem. Deleting cache and data of Google app on the watch worked for me. OK google finally works, but I cannot send WhatsApp messages via ok Google, what worked a few days ago with manually starting google by press and hold the upper button.
With Google even talking back works now
i solved the ok googlo hotword problem by deleting chache and data of google app on my huawei watch 2 and it started working again

AW2. 0 Internet connectivity issues

I adore the new keyboard functionality of 2.0, but in general my watch has been behaving poorly since the update. I have it paired to a Huawei mediapad m3 8.4 (cellular version)
At all times, notifications seem to come through in a timely fashion. But anything that requires an Internet connection (specifically Google Assistant, voice replies to notifications, and weather) are hit or miss. Half the time they work just fine. Other times they don't.
I've factory reset the watch since the update, with no improvement. Again, at all times notifications come through. But sometimes, anything that requires voice dictation or data fails. At these times, I go into the Android wear app, and it says connected. I can see and even reply to notifications with the keyboard, but if I try to use voice, or the assistant, or query for a weather update, it will tell me disconnected, or couldn't reach Google. Play store updates on watch apps are the same problem.
When I go into the watch settings while observing this bad behavior, under Bluetooth settings, it shows my phones Bluetooth ID, and says disconnected. When it's working properly, it says connected. But in BOTH cases it properly receives notifications, so just the Internet sharing to the watch from the phone seems at issue.
I've done everything short of factory resetting my phone, which I'd rather not do, including clearing data from Google app and clearing data /Uninstalling /reinstalling Android wear on the phone. Does anyone have further suggestions?

Edit: just on a whim, I decided to try Shazam on the watch while assistant, weather, and voice were not working. Even in the "disconnected" state, it could properly identify music. Baffling. Though if Shazam on wear just records the audio, sends it to the phone, and that does the identification, I suppose this follows logic. Still sort of feel like it's specific to Google though.
