Does this mean that i should change the kernel to get better battery ?

Dropbox is causing a high wakelock
If you are using a custom rom derived from stock, yes try stock rom with stock kernel

Seeing how your two highest kernel wakelocks are kind of hard to diagnose, i suggest you try a different kernel. The other wakelocks aren't big issues. Is your wifi signal weak?

No wifi is good in my house and on all the roms I have had on my phone the wifi has been 24/7 without any problems.
Will change the kernel and see what happens.
I am using liquid cm 10.1

Maps seems to be eating alot of my battery

The only thing I had on which I recently turned off was update location automatically. Anything else I might be overlooking.

Google Now uses maps. So if you have it enabled, that could be why. Mine uses a little, but I do not use it much for commutes so that might be why it does not use much battery.

I had the same issue but keeping GPS off (when not needed) fixed it.

This is what my battery usage for maps looks like. It used to not drain this much. I haven't even turned on Google Now on a fresh ROM install.

Is their any ICS/JB with battery life as good as Calkulins gingerbread?

No matter what I do or what I try I just can't find a rom with battery life as good as stock/Calkulins gingerbread rom.

Even blazer's 4.1 Rom?
Try Tersus Status, Cool Blue, or Phantom ICS. Also, flash a Placebo optimization pill to help.
But...... This question doesn't belong here!!
Please post your questions in the E4GT Questions section of the forum. Thank you!!

Best thing to do.. Flash one, giver a shot under your normal use... see what happens from there. Due to every user being different in what they do with their phone (as was previously stated) it's better to give something a shot and see how it fits you.
I got the same or better battery life using blazer 0.1.5 ics, 4.5hrs screen with 28hrs on time. Using one of tdunhams posted tweaks for it.

Here's my kernel and version.
If you are unable to seethe images, I'm running paranoid android 2.99 with Franco kernel.
I have tried other kernels too, but same results.
The phone is about 7 months old and has the stock battery. I haven't bought an extended battery or anything.
Any help would be appreciated.

OK some info might help, what were you using your phone for? Looking at the peaks and fall rates it doesn't look like your phone is being prevented from deep sleep.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
I usually use it for listening to some music while going to college or just playing a game or browsing the net during a lecture.
The drops aren't that intense while my screen is off.

Perhaps give BetterBatteryStats a try to see what is draining your battery.

Gnex battery suddenly drain very fast

Hi, anyone experience the same case as titled??
Usually by battery can hold for about 12-14 hour every full charged. But last night it only lasted for 6 hour. Worse case, while i'm sleeping. No one were using it.
Any idea??

Were any apps listed at the top of the list for your battery usage stats? Facebook sometimes drains my battery like crazy so i have to force close it and restart the app if I want.

you should give more information.
This is all the usage.

Try flash stock factory image
Inviato dal mio Nexus 4 con Tapatalk 2
no need to flash anything ! just reboot your phone a few times ! something got messed up in the kernel . wiping cache and delvik cache can also help
Use BBS.

Just wanted to share what can be done with no CPU OC

There is a kernel out there that performs fast as hell - with NO cpu overclock
figured I would share some screen shots
The point of this is to show what can be done without touching the CPU clock speeds

There was no point to making this thread if you don't even link people to the kernel.

Thread needs moar kernel linx.
"the point of this"........ is pointless.
OP is an OC PETA activist.
I can underclock (mildly) and with a few adjustments to the right governor, achieve 800+ MFLOPS in Linpack. 14000 isn't really "fast" for this phone in Quadrant either. That's easily done with the stock kernel.
Can we get this thread closed? Seems the schools are letting out early this year for Christmas and the kids are getting bored.
