The only thing I had on which I recently turned off was update location automatically. Anything else I might be overlooking.

Google Now uses maps. So if you have it enabled, that could be why. Mine uses a little, but I do not use it much for commutes so that might be why it does not use much battery.

I had the same issue but keeping GPS off (when not needed) fixed it.

This is what my battery usage for maps looks like. It used to not drain this much. I haven't even turned on Google Now on a fresh ROM install.

first i would like to ask you if you could blow up the picture a little more because it is very hard to see on my browser my samsung vibrant and my samsung galaxy tab 10.1 both have that same issue with the chat.... Facebook never knows how to make a normal update, it always comes with at least one problem..
Sorry about that. It says cannot retrieve friends list. Please try again later.
Sometimes I clear data and that helps for a bit, but other times like now I can't get it to work

it's there, just off screen.
i run with the small font and the whole sentence fits.

wlan is your wifi.
Backup is your phone backing up to Google's servers.
those look about right considering your phone was last charged 17hours ago.
Thanks, I knew that wlan was wifi but what is the *power manager* lock from?

This, specifically on franci

Probably the kernel's built in power management.. kernel wake locks aren't a big deal. Partial wake locks are what you should be looking at.

So I recently flashed sorcery 2.3 flashed Franco's latest stable. And now I have media server as a battery drain along with Apollo as a drain. 4 hours of the charger and I'm already at 41%
Could it be the kernel? Or the rom never had this issue before but now its a little ridiculous

what is apollo?
Music app normally comes with cyanogen but its also with sorcery. Its a system app
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
You probably have a corrupt media file somewhere on your /sdcard which mediaserver and/or apollo try to index but causes them to loop. Remove all media files from your phone to see if that stops mediaserver/apollo from using that much resources (or place .nomedia files in all folders with media files).
Could be why did it only happen on sorcery my previous rom codenameandroid and this problem didn't occur

Hello,
Is there a way to stop the battery drain by disabling networklocationlocator wakelock? The location settings in Maps app are all disabled but it's still happening. Thanks!

Try reinstalling maps. Never seen this before if automatic location reporting is disabled
I have the same problem and I haven't found away to get rid of it even reinstalling it.
In location services turn off "use wireless networks" setting and see if it help.
