Does anyone know what edits to make to change the default to microphone on the Samsung stock keyboard? I read somewhere that on Sprint and Verizon the mic is the default rather than pen-to-text as it is for Cleanrom Ace which I am using. I DL'd a Sprint version of the SamsungIME.apk but couldn't sort out how it differed (so I could edit the one in my rom), and flashing the Sprint one left me with constant errors and no keyboard. BTW, anyone know why they are not interchangable? Or are there some other files involved?

The issue i'm facing is the horrible spell correction on my S3. I came from my old S1 directly to the S3. On my old S1 I could type a word out and if it was anywhere near close, the phone would correct it. On my S3 it obviously knows I'm spelling it wrong because it gives me the option to correct it to the right word, but doesn't do it automatically. I am under the impression that it has to be a setting somewhere because even when I downloaded swift I had the same issues. In settings, under the stock keyboard I have all the right boxes clicked as far as what I suspect it should be, but I was wondering if anyone else had this issue.

I am also curious about this. I never had this issue until I flashed the stock touchwiz rooted roms. Now my mistyped words are never corrected automatically no matter what options I select. The rom obviously changed something in the keyboard....anyone know a fix for this? Things like "vibrate on keypress" or the "hand writing" functions just plain don't work/show up. Thanks for any help.

As the thread title suggests does your Rogers galaxy s3 come with swype? I used another touchwiz room and it had swype it got me wondering if I'm alone here or something, since my stock Rogers ROM doesn't have it
No swype on stock rogers ROM here.

If you need the swype apk I have it in a thread HERE. I also have any other apk's that you may be missing or want. Hope it helps.
I keep getting force closes on my swype. Any idea why?

I don't have Swype. But it comes with its own thing called "Continuous Input". You just have to turn it on. Does the exact same thing.
Swift keyboard is a lot faster at typing than swype. Swype is just fun to use. It's on the galaxy s2 lte

Anyone know of a way/mod to edit the headphone shortcuts on the new AT&T JB build? What I mean is when you plug a set of headphones in, you see a list of apps that Samsung has pre-selected (and can not edit). I used to use an app that worked perfectly when I was on ICS. Here is the link for that app I used to use http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1756355
Does anyone have a better way? As of now this app is not working for me on stock AT&T build (rooted). Any insight is great.
Make sure you install busybox im on at&t stock jb now and I can say it working fine on me

I got it to work with the 12 shortcut mod (flashed through recovery).

I've managed to change alll of the UI sounds by replacing them with my own .ogg files in /system/media/audio/ui however the keytap sound you hear when you press a keyboard key is still the original tap. I went as far as removing all of the .ogg files in the directory and only left the few custom sounds I made. They are for the UI touch (everything but the keyboard), screen lock and unlock, and a couple others.
As I'm using the samsung keyboard, I can only assume that the sounds for the samsung keyboard ui are located elsewhere, however I cannot for the life of me, locate them. Can anyone help with this at all? Can't find anything on the forums others than people suggesting doing what I've already done or using another keyboard. I don't want to use another keyboard. I have a modded themed keyboard that only works with samsung keyboard......... please help!
they are built into the keyboards apk.
Unzip the apk and you'll find them in the resources folder.

I tried that however when I put the apk back on the phone and verified the new sounds are in the apk, the samsung keyboard crashes when I try to use it.
I can't remember exactly what to do right now, but I'm pretty sure you have to reinsert the signatures a certain way for a system apk to work.
Been a while and I'm not at my computer right now so can't look it up yet. Google and you'll find it though.

Send Samsung keyboard sound.ogg
I left my s4 for s3 t999
Just started back with the t999 forum.
seems in recent times there been a lot volume mod tricks worked out ....
I know for the s4 Dev jovy has flashable zips for loud moderate or normal sound incrase..Which works wonders....
What one do we have that does this flawlessly
If anyone can direct me to a link be appreciated.
As I can't seem to find a straight answer on Google .. And also don't wanna soft brick our of flashing any old zip or changing file structures.

If you link to the one you're referring to, maybe someone would want to try creating a similar mod here.
Remember though, they are on a different Android version, so it may be very different.
