[Q] Noise from display or near usb port? - Nexus 7 (2013) Q&A

I just have bought new nexus 7 2 days ago and now i notice that some kind of electrical noise comes out from my new nexus 7
especially when i'm charging it.
So i did some googling and i found this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1998304
this is the exact same problem i have right now
when i set brightness to maximum noise disappears if not then it just doesn't stop coming out
even when i'm not charging it i can barely hear it when i'm in quiet place (obviously i have to stick my ear to its display)
Actually i think this can happen to any kind of electrical devices so i'm never disappointed about google but i kind of do feel bad about this...
but i just wanna see if anyone else has the same or similar problem on our new nexus 7
so... does anyone have similar problem...?
anyway I'm gonna go back to best buy to talk about exchanging stuff tmrw .... lol

[Q] Battery Life & Heating Review Request - Please Some Help :)

Hello, I'm a Note owner. Got a scratch on my screen now, and considering to change to the Nexus instead of fixing the screen.
I have searched on youtube, to be honest no one gave an exact review I'm willing to hear. So I'm asking you Galaxy Nexus users, how much does your battery last? And does it over heat fast?
The Galaxy Note brings me a FULL day with good/medium usage. Note has a heating issue, when you start ANY game, the back will heat starting from minute 2.
I've heard there's a speaker issue, but Volume+ tends to fix it, question is does it fix the Incoming Ring Tone Level too? Or the Ringing is already higher than media volume?
Thanks appreciated, just not sure if to buy the Nexus or not. But speaking of that I'm a heck of flashaholics. I think the Nexus is where'd I fit

Microphone is all noise? Any non-replacement solution?

I just picked up the new Nexus 7 yesterday, and tried out the microphone today. In either Camera (via video) or Google Now, it basically just picks up constant noise. It's not even "noise plus minor sound" - just all noise.
Is anyone else having this problem? Any ideas if there might be a fix apart from replacing it?
I assume I have to get a replacement, but since it's sold out near me and I'd like to avoid going through a replacement wait when I can't get a new one quickly, I thought I'd ask.
I just returned it - I thought better to not wait, since they might be sold out later once it actually gets "released". No need to worry about finding a solution for my sake.
My new one has a working microphone, so I'm just chalking it up to hardware defect.

[Q] noisy processor? buzz increase with touching screen please help

Hi! I have my nexus 7 2013 wifi about one week ago, i have some small issues with the keyboard but i can get along with it.
What really worries me is that yesterday i noticed it makes a very small noise, just audible if i put my ear next to the device. It is like the sound of a pc proccesor, that increases when i touch the screen and almost dissapear when the screen is off. It doesnt change when its charging or on the table, and umtil now i didnt notice any battery leaks or jumps.
Any ideas of what this could mean? Electrical issues? Can you please verify if your device is making any kind of sound?
Thank you in advance!!
Greetings from chile!!!
do not worry
Do not worry, this is present in all nexus 7 devices. It is something to do with Asus using a crappy speaker part. If you want the full details, Google it or look on here you slowly get used to it. I got my N7 last weekend and I never really notice it anymore. So do not worry
I don't hear anything....
Any other opinion please?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I have also noticed the screen issue a tiny bit but it isn't as bad as people make it out to be.....I had a Nexus 4 in the past so I'm used to the crappy screen sensitivity lol but this device is still amazing and a way better device than my old N7 I guess with time updates will iron out all the kinks.

[Q] Buzzing from the back

Hello,
i just recently bought my google nexus 7 and i have one thing to worry about.
When i run some high demanding app like some 3d game or something, i can hear buzzing coming from back of the tablet, its not loud and actually if there is not complete silence you cant even hear it or u have to put your ear very close to the device.
Im just wondering if this is common with nexus 7 or if i should worry and put it to reclamation?
Thanks in advance for any tips and answers
Just addition
the buzzing comes from the top side and it kinda sounds like broken ventilator, but i guess there is no ventilator inside the tablet right?
what is at that place, graphic card?
I get thus from time to time when I charge my tablet. I wouldn't be worried
sent from my nex7
well, its not while charging, first i thought that too coz i first noticed it while charging, but it really always starts when i run some game
and also, i dont know if its only me, but i think its getting worse...

Nexus 5x low microphone volume!

Friends,
I have noticed that most of the people that I talk to with my nexus 5x, ask me to speak louder!! It usually happens once or twice during the call. I think the volume drops to half at some points during the call! It has never happened with my other devices!! My nexus 5x doesn't have any cover and screen protector and the microphone is unobstructed! Is it a universal problem or am I the only one affected.
I am on stuck, unrooted, 6.0.1, march update!
Is there anyway to increase the microphone gain?
Thank you in advance
Do you have headphones connected? I think that the 5X uses a different microphone when headphones are connected vs. not connected. It's rather frustrating, I wish it would use the same one.
Having same issue with two phones I bought.
Any update on this, it started on nougat update for me galfren (fully stock) . My one still on marshmallow, work fine
I am having a similar problem. my case is not covering up the microphone but people always ask me to speak up. It is really frustrating coming from my galaxy devices that I could lay on the couch with the phone on my chest and carry on a normal conversation. With the nexus if I turn the phone slightly away from my check they hear nothing. I doubt they will give a warranty phone, but right now it is enough for me to never buy an LG again.
you could root your phone and install a custom kernel inck. kernel manager to adjust volumes such as microphone.
