That my device doesent allow non supported apps. I click allow, it takes me to settings and I click allow unknown sources and then it does that all over again as if I never allowed unknown sources. Enabling unknown sources isn't sticking for some reason.

I'm guessing it was the file managers I was using. Totally made me feel like a noob lol. I was trying with astro and oi file manager. Tried ES file explorer and it worked. My grandmother was flipping out that I rooted her kindle and hulu wouldn't play lol.

If you downloaded them, they will be in Downloads Folder

I have searched for days without luck.
I noobishly formatted my Kindle fire 2nd Gen while trying to install a new Rom. Now I have access to TWRP but there is no data on the device when I plug into my pc the drivers fail to install. I tried to uninstall and install kindle adb drivers but I am still getting the caution triangle in device manager. Help.
Try using the drivers in my signature.

Your suggestions didn't work.

Are you on windows 8? And when you goto the devices properties with the triangle, does it say it doesn't have the drivers installed or a different error message?

I'm on Windows 7 the message says no drivers installed. I installed Android sdk and tried sideload but the message said can't read sideload

I think everything was wiped I still get the original Kindle bootloader image on start up and a second image that gives me the recovery mode option. I get into TWRP but no files are there to do anything. Then when I plug the device into my pc it's not recognized. I see Kindle in my devices but when I try to open as a usb device the drive is greyed out.

What happens when you try to use the drivers in my signature, does the driver fail when you try to install it or what?

There is no install.exe in your files I don't know how to install it.

i had this problem some time ago....
go to your device manager and select the kindle fire and deinstall the drivers from there than the right drivers should be automaticly install
I did that many times but windows failed to install the drivers

In the device manager, right click the device with the triangle, hit update drivers, choose the option that let's you search a directory, and point it to where you extracted my drivers, then let it install.

I tried that. The message I got was "windows could not find driver software for your device"

OK in that case open the device manager, right click the device with a triangle, hit properties, and goto the details tab, then choose hardware id's from the drop down list, and post them here.

I did, I went into advance and turned it on.

Ah OK never mind then, thought maybe that was the error for not turning it on.

My V500 wouldn't install the latest version of qpair, play store says its not compatible, lol. My SGS3 installs it fine but the different versions cannot connect. I saw a couple of people had this problem, so I thought I'd post my simple solution.
Titanium backup on the device with the latest version, copy files via blue tooth (or email them to yourself) and install on other device.

If you are on stock rom it should work out of the box. If you are on a custom rom like cyanogenmod or others use this guide. Works great. Got it working on my gpad using it.
It should but I'm on stock and it wasn't working.

Previously I've managed to install WhatsApp on my Nexus 7 (flo) without any problem using the, 'install via apk and verify via spare phone' method but for the latest version of WhatsApp, I'm unable to install it at all. Anybody else having the same issue? The latest version is 2.11.301.

You can install whatsapp on your tablet using this app:
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andromo.dev309978.app300737&hl=nl_NL
Tried it , followed the instructions but no difference. Directly installing it from apk doesn't work either.
Managed to find a more recent version directly from their website and its running okay again.
