I'm new here too!
Some custom ROMS don't support the touch pads.
You'r best bet is to go double check the compatibility list for the ROM

I'm "almost" certain its the ROM that doesn't support the touch pads.
To check compatibility go to the page from which you downloaded the rom. Once there you should find a section of updates and know bugs. The update section shows you whats been added and fixed.
The known bugs section shows the issues within the rom.
Read all comments and if then you still haven't found a solution or explanation, post your problem on their page and ask if anyone else is experiencing this issue.
i wonder what custom room does have a working touchpad.. anyway tnx mate.

Markphytons ics has working touchpads.
Sorry for my bad English. It's not my native language.
Main problem is that ICS roms not supporting Xperia Play touchpad. There few roms like Markphytons or CDork ICS unforunatelly touchpad not working in all of games.
Advice try to put different roms and see what works what not.
I tried few ICS and back to Gin2JellyBeans based on 2.3.4, it's stable, fast and touchpads works.
Btw there is threat that could help. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1797280
If you want touchpads and gaming use stock or Gin2JellyBean

Also I'm confirming that CM9 RC2 with included FXP kernel supports the touch pads.

Every game I've played on 2.3.3 plays on 4.0.4 with the touch pads, plus more.
I can play MC3, NOVA2 & N64OID with the touch pads. Maybe they recently updated it? IDK but I'm enjoying it!
hi all i tried many roms and some of them have issues E.g camera doesnt work : there are some apps that doesnt work)

aha ok iwill download it thx bro !! :good:
Gin2Jellybean root works just fine..
If you are having trouble though, flash this Superuser zip in recovery, it is right from SuperUser's developer website
http://downloads.noshufou.netdna-cdn.com/superuser/Superuser-3.1.3-arm-signed.zip
try mine
if you want to have a ICS Rom (Android 4) with all ICS Features try marphyton's Rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1854682
if you want to have a GB-Rom (Android 2.3.7) with Xperia T Design:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1649368
ICS is not so good for gaming unless you overclock cpu. With GB you get better gaming Performance.
...markphyton made his Rom with Sony Developers. That means it based on original Sony ICS for Xplay.

Correct. The reason why Sony pulled the plug on ics for the xperia play is it does lag the device not just gaming but overal.

As new comer, so this stupid? question comes to general
Is it possible to make ultimate kernel that work on any ROM stage???
(GB, ICS, CM 10.1)
I mean that we can switch easilly between all ROM in SD card
Lupus has done with it, but miss CM10.1 one :silly:

No, it is not.
nAa kernel works on CM10;CM10.1, and should also on CM9

Try including the ramdisks of each android version by extracting boot.imgs and then try. But the process is really hard and u may also need to prepare a new zImage...

Itcan be done but with various patches in ramdisk (but not everything woring 100%). I had a kernel on my PLAY for GB ICS and JB but compared to say a GB specific kernel or ICS specific kernel performance decreased.
So to anwser the OP's question. Yes its possible but using a specific kernel for that specific android is much better.

I could but WiFi wont work and not sure about anything else. I will not attempt to do anything like this without a mogami device without owning one. I was meant to be getting one soon but donator moved to a new device and unfortunately sold his old device to family member instead
Hard to hear those words but I'm happy with your kernels... Without owning mogami device you did tremendous job for us .. hands off
Hello guys!
I have a rooted Xperia SL with unlocked bootloader. I tried KK roms and i liked LeOpArDx and Nature Xperia Advance most but I want to know if you know a good ROM for gaming. It doesn't matter what version of android or what features it has if it runs great.
Tnaks in advance!
