Try chrome beta, works well for me
I am seeing the same thing here. Hopefully Google will be pushing out an update for Chrome to fix this soon.
As shmaque said, disabling JavaScript in Chrome also stopped this from being a problem for me. Of course that may become a problem of its own when browsing the internet these days. So far so good.
Well, as expected, I ran into some trouble logging in to a couple websites with JavaScript disabled, so I have re-enabled it. The problems that a number of us were seeing were limited to xda-developers.com as noted at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2380099.
Changing the default XDA site layout (located at the bottom of every XDA page) to 2010 has fixed the issue for some of us. Credit goes to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=44038082&postcount=17 for bringing the idea to my attention.

Okay I`m having issues when I have say just 2 XDA tabs open. Either on FireFox or Chrome.
Well anyway Say if I open another tab or refresh one of those tabs it will kinda freeze and sit there then load instead of a sec it should take to load it takes about 10 sec cause of the freezing.
Okay Before yal say its the computer..
I have restored my computer about a month ago, Still have the issue on a clean install.
Also my specs are not low for this to be happening
Windows 7 Pro (Legal Copy)
2GHZ Intel Core i7
8GB Ram
2GB nivida Geforce
7200 RPM hard drive
and so on.
But this happens on all computers even my main(my best) computer which are the specs above I have this issue on firefox and chrome.
Anyone Else?

XDA is going through some changes to the system, and as a result of the this it is causing some problems to the site, such as lag, loss of search e.t.c.. This will all go away when they have finished, but the new changes will be worth it.

Occasionally XDA undergoes some slight changes and slows to a crawl for a short time. This is normal as the system is updated and search is indexed. However, if this is occurring frequently across multiple systems for the extended period you describe, then your video would help to diagnose the problem. If you log into your video's settings menu on YouTube, you should be able to set the video to public, or at least mark it as unsearchable. This way you could simply embed the video here or provide the link.

Honestly, it looks like a lack of RAM. Chrome is extremely memory intensive. It used to be lighter, but the recent updates that put tabs into their own processes made it more memory hungry overall. Five or six months ago was when that change happened, if I recall correctly.

I know what you mean. I occasionally have lots open as well, but experience no issues.
I have 5 tabs open now and had a dozen opened earlier when I was updating my radio thread. No lag, no issues. Similar to your specs except Win 7 Ultimate I got when I worked at MS last year. FireFox 12, up to the latest updates. I do have the ads turned off though in the same fashion the mods do as one of the "recognized" program benefits.

Well have you tried disabling it?
Turn off No-Script or allow *.xda-developers.com. Thank you.
I have this problem, too. I think it started to occur when the new theme became the default theme and it got worse since then.
As an example:
I'm loading up xda and click on a subforum. The forum starts loading the new page and just a milisecond before it finishes loading (the new site seems to be fully loaded already but it's still in loading state according to the browser) it starts loading again. In addition, and that's really annoying, while loading the second time clicking on a thread just opens up the same page again (instead of the thread).
Because of this it can take me up to a minute to actually open the thread I want to open
Browser is Firefox 14 on Win7 x64 SP1, but it happened on 13, too. NoScript is not installed.
I don't have this problem with any other vbulletin board.
Works perfectly on Dolphin Browser and Chrome ICS. Try downloading the app.

I have the same problem on certain pages too. I am using Chrome 23 on Windows 7 and Fedora 17
I have the same problem, and have had it for weeks. Still happens after disabling adblock and whitelisting this site in noscript.
Use "Quick Theme Chooser" at the bottom of the page and change to "---- XDA 2013 Beta - 1024" theme.
I have a problem with my browser.
Only xda page continous reload in browser. I deactivate all extensions but problem not solved. I need a solution.
Thanks for advices
I had this problem when enabled noscripts plugin in firefox. Please check for plugins and allow xda scripts. This should resolve.

I have the same problem using Archlinux and Chrome. Any idea how to solve it?
I am experiencing this as well. Every time I touch the screen it reloads the page. I've run out of ideas. This only happens to me on XDA's site. If I uninstall Chrome and install it again it goes away for a time and then comes back I believe once I have logged in and posted.
I'm running Wanamlite 3.9 on a GT-N7100.

Likewise: when browsing xda forums with chrome, it continually reloads, but only when I'm logged in to xda. If logout, it stops reloading. This happens on my Samsung Note 2 and my Barnes & Noble Nook HD+. I haven't tested it on any other platforms.
Yep. Same here. Using Chrome on Android.
Also same here.
Chrome on Win7 and chrome on Asus Tf300TG with 4.2
Selecting the XDA 2013 Beta 1024 theme at the bottom of the page fixed it for me on my Android tablet.
the problem also happened for me with opera mobile classic in desktop mode, using a note 2.
but the reloading only happened in topic/forum lists, and only if I tried to zoom in.
appelflap's solution worked for me.
edit:
something that might help in finding the real source of the problem: ?nocache=1&z=6394149552676460 gets added to the url whenever the page refreshes automatically.
Looks like appelflap method fixed my android and desktop browser issue. ThankYou
The site admins have been notified of the issue and they are looking into it.
In addition to the reloading issue, they need to be aware of the random redirects to Badoink. Nasty porn app that you can hardly back button away from. I'm so sick of reading a thread, and all of a sudden a giant d**k pops up on my screen. Freaking disgusting.

I have the same problem that my browser (Firefox) keeps reloading, and only on xda-developers. Browsing in a thread is no problem, but the forum overview keeps reloading ever two seconds or so. It seems to be a problem with a script, because I use NoScript and allowing all scripts to be executed solves the problem. I only expierience this on xda and permanently allowing every script is not an option for me, so I avoid the forum overview and only follow my subscribed threads until this issue is resolved.
I have the same problem with Firefox and Chrome on windows 7, XP, and Ubuntu 13.04
To my phone with chrome, dolphin and stock browser i haven't this problem..
EDIT: Now I have no issues, the pages aren't reloading anymore.
What did you do to stop the reloading?

It seems like only Chrome reloads like that. However mine does not reload if I choose XDA 2010. It does reload if I choose XDA 2013 Beta.
why use chrome?

Just a note, after testing out several browsers, there are a few that come to mind as better than chrome. Dolphin, firefox, and boat to name a few. I have flash also working well in Dolphin, whereas in chrome it will not work. This site showss cleanly in Dolphin and it is wicked fast as well.
Hi all,
I'm a day one user of the 5T that very successfully replaces my old One, except in one aspect. On specific websites (so far, Ogame and all Outlook webmails), after non-specific usage of the page, it will start to blink and get all scrambled.
I'm running an up-to-date OOS 4.7.5, rooted, but confirm the issue straight out of the box before any system edit. Has this been documented already? Here's a screencast of the whole thing happening:
Whatever you do, this specific Chrome instance is screwed and you cannot recover it. Only way out is to open a new one. It seems to get triggered when you move the page around and start pinch-and-zooming around, but nothing is sure.
Not sure if a logcat would help.
Thanks for the inputs!

Unfortunately, no ad blocker here... Seems more related to incorrect html5 handling, but no idea why it would be device specific. Sure enough it doesn't happen on my one running LOS (btw, add lineageoslog.com to the list if websites causing this).

I just did, out of curiosity (though I did wipe cache and dalvik when upgrading days ago so I was fairly sure it wouldn't change anything). Same stuff keps happening. You're right on ogame it does not happen on the logging screen. In Outlook it's somewhat harder to trigger, I have to start writing a mail, and usually it will happen after a couple lines written. Same sh*t is happening on OnePlus forums as well. It's really a weird thing...
edit: Have just confirmed the exact same issue on a relative's OP5T, running full-stock. No root, no nothing.
edit 2: Now with a logcat of a couple seconds (https://www.dropbox.com/s/aylqw7dg2l7pup6/crash_chrome.txt?dl=0). Opening a new browser tab, going to Ogame (best way to cause the crash), a couple secodns later it's crashing. No idea what to really look for in here
