Random Back button! - Would appreicate some HELP!!!

Ok, I have posted on this before and no one seems to bother even replying. But I'm trying again because this problem is really @#$!$# me off!
At random my phone will act like the back button is being presses. But it doesn't happen to all programs or all the time. Programs that are included that it usually happends with: XDA forum app, Play Store, K9 Mail, MobileBiz Pro.
It actually acts like the back button is being pressed. So if I try to open XDA, the loading screen comes up, then BACK to the homescreen. If I go into K9 Mail and am fast enough to open an email, after a second or so, it goes back to the K9 main mail screen, I press the email again, it opens, then BACK to the main screen, then if I wait anothe second or so, it goes BACK again to the homescreen.
But it doesn't do this with all programs. The other thing is, I tried posting this on my phone. I was almost done and tried to think if I was missing anything. My screen times out and turned off, I hit the power button to turn the screen on again, then as soon as it turned on, it BACKED out of my message to the Q&A forum, then BACK to the main xperia play forum, then BACK to the homescreen.
PLEASE HELP. I have no idea how to fix this. I thought it could be not enough memory, so I used supercharger to set the memory settings low so it wouldn't close things unless it was almost out of memory, and no effect. I have no idea what to do and I need help!
I'm hoping this time someone can!

Have you tried flashing stock FTf files again?

I've tried multiple roms. But I'm not sure if it can be a HW problem since it doesnt do it in all programs, only certain ones.

I mean flashing the stock Rom via flashtool again?
It will give u a clear system

Yes I have.
It's weird, I can use a program called "My OC Transpo" A timetable app for city busses. No problems, but the Gallery app and other programs get the problem.

That is very weird and I bet very annoying it may be a hardware problem then but I'm just guessing :/

I know it seems like it is a HW issue. But why does it do it for some programs and not others?
I used to use K9 Mail, it didnt even do it at first, the problem happend with other programs, then after time it happend to K9. So I switched to MailDroid, and no problems.
Heres the REALLY weird thing. If I WAIT a little bit with the screen on, the problem doesnt happen. Say for 20-30 seconds.

Anyone?

Does the screen have moisture on it when it happens? When the screen is cold and you breathe on it moisture can form. At least it does for me, especially in the morning.
If not, does pressing the back button stop it happening?

Nope no moisture.
It also happens in this situation: i'm using it fine, then the screen turns off from the timeout, it comes back up, and the problem happends. I have to wait about 30 seconds or so for it to start working again.

Well you can view a log cat and see what happened at the exact time of the "random back"

No need to logcat HW problems. If you have a warranty maybe they'll fix it. If not buy a broke play on eBay and use its parts to fix yours.

My guess is that you've got a hardware problem :/
Flash stock ftf, if BL is unlocked then flash the relock ftf, and send it off to Sony aslong as you still have Warranty

No warrenty. It's a few year old.
I dont think it is HW. I mean it works FINE for programs like my bus app, titanium backup, etc. but for other programs, K9 Mail, MobileBiz, Google Play Store, it doesnt.

well the apps may just be incompatible and unstable on your rom

problem with xperia SL ( screen and laggy )

well i have xperia sl and i face kinda a weird problem ,, which is in some apps the screen start to turn into black for sec and while that the phone dont respond then it back again and ,, i feel it kinda laggy some times ,, so any ideas

Weird, it should not behave this way
Do you have antiviruses or task killers installed ? they sometimes produce such behaviour.
Also you should restart your phone once in a day, that helps to free up ram .
Make a check on the apps you've installed. Try uninstalling the suspected ones.
Or maybe you could go for a software repair using SUS http://www.sonymobile.com/in/tools/update-service/

[Q] Screen does not turning off during a call

Hello everybody,
my girlfriend have an a Sony xperia s and for awhile when she having a phone call
and put the phone against her ear the screen does not turning off the buttons are been pressed
by her cheek, this causes a lot of embarrassment when the call is disconnected in the middle of an important call,
most of the time the button just pressed and the other side just hearing an annoying tone.
this is annoying and i don't know how to help her with that.
is there any good solution for this problem?
i tried to look for this problem in the search engine of this forum
and all i found was the same problem but in HTC phone that runs Windows Mobile, that didn't helping me...

Try rebooting/resetting.
If problem persists then the proximity sensor may be faulty. Take it to Sony, coz it's a hardware problem.

Perhaps her phone is dirty, so the sensor won't work.. You know women, they don't care about technology.
Clean the screen left next to the Sony logo real good

My first opinion is hardware issue. It can be said that the proximity sensor is faulty. My second one is software. maybe she install a program that uses or control the proxomity switch that causes it to malfunction having a conflict with other programs. My third is that, as early as possible if its hardware issue, go now to sony service center for them to figure it out, use your warranty card, that may cause no additional problem right? Smile!

You could try re flash the firmware with flashtool

she taking care of her phone more then anybody i know...
the phone is completely clean and safe, so most probably is it's something else.

i think that maybe it is an hardware issue,
she don't installing any application just by her self, and she don't have many apps.
i know almost every app on her phone (cause i have them also on my SGS4) and i don't think that the apps are the problem.
but i will look for an app problem anyway just to be sure before using the warranty.

UPDATE:
i've checked the phone sensor with the new app cpu-z and the app shows that the sensor is working and identifying my hand
when i covering it.
but still there is the problem that the screen does not turn off when she's holding the phone against her ear,
i've watched while she's talking in the phone and she's holding it as it should be.
but as i see the problem is not happening in every phone call but it is happening a lot.
any idea how to solve this problem?

Help!!!! Xperia play locks itself!!!

Hi, I searched my problem on google but no solutions or explanations came up. Whenever I slide open the gamepad on the xperia play it locks the phone. I then have to click the power button and enter my unlock pattern. I just noticed it yesterday after i dropped the phone. I have dropped it a few times but only on carpet. Could someone help me?

Hi, while I was playing youtube last night I accidentally opened the slider. The audio kept playing. Due to this I now think that it is the Screen that turns off when the slider is opened.

About youtube the current version you having is like that. When ever u play any video. U turn off your screen. The audio will be played. Thats normal for the old youtube version. U try to update the app. Or else install new ROM?
U should install new rom. Maybe it will solve your problems

If there is a problem with the slide cable it can do this. That said, I absolutely hate that my phone unlocks itself when I slide it!

I resetted the settings and now the phone screen turns off by itself!

This problem is now hot in this forum and this model....I think this is hardware or battery problem..you should send to service center for replacement...
