hey, why is there no STK on the app drawer but it is listed at app settings?
anyone knows how to make it appear at the drawer?
i really need this app
I had the same problem with one or two roms. For me it helped to chose "deinstall" in settings/apps and I was asked to deinstall an update of stk. After deinstalling this update stk was shown again in app drawer..
i also need simtoolkit on my lu6200

deinstall? you mean uninstall?
Yes, sorry, too much switching German/English the last days. As far as I remember (It's some weeks ago) I selected "uninstall" and was asked "do you want to uninstall last update?". After confirming, the "stock" stk was back and shown in the app drawer.
well, my stk on app settings doesnt have uninstall on it. "force stop" is the only one that can be pressed. what rom are you using when you did that?
I think it was under ICS (4.0.4.). I just tried with CM10, you're right, you can't uninstall. But I tried another thing (be sure to have a backup): I used the program RootAppDelete, selected System Apps, Pro Mode, and selected "uninstall" for SIM-Toolkit. It said "uninstall failed" but there was a new stk-icon created on my home screen and, of course, stk still works!
I don't have the problem of missing stk in app drawer since I use CM10, but maybe this could be a workaround?

Ditto. There is also no separate apk that could help bring the stk. Or is it?

Hi,
I have a note 10.1 edition 2014. I'm using S-Note intensivly. Now S-Note crashes often. I'm thinking of un- and reinstalling it. But it seems that i can't uninstall it without root acces. If i'd have, would it be able to uninstall S-Note ? How could i do that ? I don't find S-Note in the settings to choose it for uninstalling. And if i'd be able to uninstall it, where do i find it for reinstalling ? It does not seem to be in the Appstore.
Thanks for any hint.
Bernd
You wouldn't need to uninstall it, just clear data for the app through the application manager. Make sure you have all of your notes backed up first.
Hi,
i have a backup. But where can i clear the data ? I don't find S-Note in the application manager.
Bernd
You need to swipe over to the "All" section, it won't show up in the "Downloaded" list.

Hi,
i found it and deleted the data. But unfortunately the app still crashes. Any further ideas ?

Well I recommend you to use iroot (formerly known as vroot) software to root your device cause it works like a charm especially on Samsung devices....

Hi! as the title says... I'm running on the following:
*D855
*16GB
*V10l-ESA-XX
*Rooted but using stock ROM
I noticed that it doesn't have Calculator app and i don't want to use other calcs on play store. Well there is a software update and it's like 78mb more or less and i don't want to update as it might unroot my phone though the update says: "APPS"
Well better safe than sorry...
Oh, if someone has an apk or flash file of the calc app that would be nice.
Thanks in advance
bump...
Open the app Update Center. LG apps are there.

yep tried that first thing when i rolled back to KK. I even did factory reset and calculator app is nowhere to be found.. i'm not into downloading calculator apps from Playstore as there are many apps which is annoying.
Bumping..
LG APPS update will not unroot your phone.
Yep tried software update also. Still on KK and still no calculator app..
Open your app drawer and click on "update center" it should have the original calculator app located there to redownload.
Here, my friend.

This is a certainly common error when you're coming back to KK.
You should take note at the first boot, in the screen of "unninstaled apps" . When coming from Lollipop, the Calculator comes marked to not be installed.
The problem is that this is the only one (I believe) that isn't in the Update Center to download.
I had this problem and extracted the apk from the "preload apps" folder from a KDZ.
Hope I helped.

It's worked. Copy LGCalculator.apk to /system/pri-app, the Calculator comes back!

What app is sending you these notifications? File Manager? App Manager?
Hold down on the notification until you see a bell and an i. Hit the i to get information.
There should be a box that says notifications on the app info... Uncheck that. Reboot the phone and see if it appears again (It shouldn't).

Hold down on the notification in your tray until you see a bell and an i enclosed in a circle. Hit the i to get app information.
Then uncheck the box for notifications from that app. Reboot and see if it pops up again.

If you're on Lollipop:
Hold down on the notification and get the info. Make sure it's unchecked (Could be a different app sending that one).
If it's already unchecked:
Go to your settings and find "Notification Manager". Enter this and hit "App notifications". Find the app that sent the above notification and tap on it. Now you can adjust it and set priorities and whatnot. For this, block notifications from it.
This may block notifications for system updates as well, but you can still check it manually. Plus, system updates don't happen very often so not seeing it won't really matter.
EDIT: Misunderstood what you meant... I underlined what to do in your case.
Edit 2: I'm running a custom ROM and that's how I would do it in my case. I failed to remember that the stock ROM may not have added these features, so you can also do this (for sure) but going to your settings and hitting apps, then scrolling over to all. Find the app manager (or whatever app uses the same icon as the one sending you the notifications) and click on it. Now you can uncheck the displaying of notifications from it.

Read that^^^
Also, unchecking notifications from "Google Service Framework" may remove notifications for these type of updates.
If you are rooted and already have SuperSU you can download Titanium backup and uninstall any app from your phone. BE CAREFUL BECAUSE SOME APPS ARE IMPORTANT. Also, make sure you backup the file before removing it via titanium (backup through titanium backup) in case you for some reason need it back. This may or may not remove the prompt to update the app, but way back when (if I remember correctly) it did for me.

Glad to hear it! If you ever have any more questions feel free to PM me.
Also, I would highly recommend you try out a free app called "LG Tweaks Box". It'll make your phone feel so much better and have tons of customization!
I'm not sure if this even/still applies but when I was on KitKat (LG G3 2GB) I rooted my device then used either Root Explorer or ES File Explorer File Manager and looked in the data\op folder on device and deleted anything I didn't want (mainly anything carrier related which was all of the H3G_COM folder (30 items) as it was a 3 UK handset) then reflashed firmware and wiped device and I have never had any apps forced on me since, i've even disabled auto restore of apps from Google Play on first sign in so I can be choose what I wanted installed at each reflash/wipe.
Back up the OP folder first as It is handy for later if ever needed
Again not sure if this even/still applies
Hope that helps
Thanks for the reply
But sorry to say that my Data/Op folder has no Carrier APPs
i have done a full search on phone an just cant find the junk
i still have a message saying i have 15 APPs to update even with APP update frozen with RootUninstaller

Try installing them then using titanium backup to remove them completely including all files.
Sent from XDA app via my LG G3 D851.
I'm using ok Google to call a contact and this is what I'm seeing. I have the Google dialer installed in addition to the stock dialer. I'm not rooted.
Do you have selected default phone app right?

I do, yes, thanks. I figured out that I needed to reboot my phone after disabling the default stock dialer and assigning the new Google Dialer as default. It's working now. Thanks for your time and help!

try 1st to clear google data (the google search app with the assistant you will need to configure G.assistant again) 2nd disable the swipe up option from the config (see attachement) and see if you still getting the error.
the launcher I use is this one they say it's ads free I couldn't know since I have an adblock but it has many options it's the best for me so far
I guess there is something wrong with search engine of stock launcher.
If you don't wanna to change launcher, I suggest you to go Settings -> Home Screen, and then deactivate "Swipe up to open search".
If you wanna a new laucher, I suggest Nova Launcher.
