[Q] Help to get MSL SPC - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

I have a Sprint Samsung Galaxy S2 previously flashed for Cricket. I am the second owner. Now I have decided to flash to PagePlus. I tried to find my MSL. I got one but the fist "digit" looks like a squared zero and the rest are normal zeros.I tried 3 different methods and got the same result. Six digits with a squared zero and 5 normal zeros. Any ideas?

Try flashing back to a stock GB Rom and using the terminal emulator getprop method. Should work that way.

Like I said earlier, I have tried 3 different methods and I have downgraded and upgraded and played around with it and have received the same result.

Have you tried this? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=32396596
Flash the FI03 bin. See if that works.

I'll help you out cause i had to go through hell and back to get the answer for that. No one could really help me out lol i just kept searching and searching till i got lucky. Do you know how to use CDMA applications? Do you know how to get into the TW menu so you can access your phone through your computer as a modem?
Download the CDMA Workshop App
Code:
Put your phone on Diag Mode, connect the usb cable
look in device manager and see if 'SAMSUNG Mobile USB Serial Port (COMX)
is there,
Open CDMA WS,Select the (COMX),Connect "do not read"
Click on Security Tab,in "Password 16 Digits" select the lower box,
enter the 16 digit password samsung default:01F2030F5F678FF9
the phone will unlock and your MSL code is going to show in the
SPC Box just above "Read and SPC" tabs.
Credit goes to @mrctony on these forums.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uFvdmwDw3Vw&feature=youtu.be
If the read function does not work then click that "S" above the SPC button and put in 000000 (6 zeros) in the box and select write spc to phone
Make sure the password box to the left of the spc box says Samsung and you copy and paste this password from the code above. The read function is not going to work for you like it didn't for me but the writing function will work if you have the phone in DIAG mode and able to be read from the CDMA app. Hope this helps! Let me know the outcome by quoting me so i get a notification from this thread.

I cannot root my phone PERIOD!!!

I don't know what else to do...
1st USB debugging is ON
I've tried using oneclickoot on my PC, and on my mac. I get the message Phone is not connected....
I've also tried that Bonsai Unlocker and the program cannot communicate with the phone.... so I bought a highly rated new data micro usb cable.
Guess what? I get the message Phone is not connected still on my MAC, PC and Bonsai unlocker.... WTH????
Now what?
Would a Data Factory Reset be of any help?
Install the Samsung drivers, if they are already installed re-install them.
This.
Make sure you unisntall them
Reboot
Re install them ...
Reboot
then try and Root ....
Keep trying with different ports ....
Turn off anti-virus. It may be seeing it as a threat.

If it says phone is nor connected then its the drivers. The computer didn't recognize the phone.

Yeah took me awhile. had to use my buddies evo cord and tried a bunch of different ports. tried his mac. his mac book and my desktop. I still cannot connect to my pc i just got lucky that one time to root. The one time it worked i dialed ##8778# and switched back an forth to PDA and modem on both the usb and uart. It was probably just a coincidence.
I had the same issue, it ended up being a defective phone of all things. 2 diffrent computers could not see it (osx and xp), nor read the sd card.
When I got my ec05 replacement, the getprop msl method didn't work either. I had to use the log method and go into the data menu and it popped up in a log for me.

But it's not even connecting on a MAC and I don't need drivers for Mac....
This can't just be drivers for windows.... the phone gets connected.... I can navigate the folders and all, copy files and such it's just the root that's not working for some weird reason.
I can also navigate the phone folders on a Mac, but again the root through a Mac wont work...
I bought a Blackberry cable, but I read the reviews and a lot of people recommended for Android devices as well..
What one click are you using?
I'm using the latest 3.1.0.1 and I've also tried the previous one can't remember the version from the top of my head now...
I'm telling you.... I'm giving up...
I just won't work... I don't know what else to try...
Maybe I'll buy and HTC and call it the day!!
i was having the same problem with 3.1 i had to use 3.0.2.5 then i flashed the new one... ill put a link for you u when i find it
I want to try a hard reset but i cant see my msl number using the conectbot and getprop commamd...
Is there another way to get it???

Getting your SPC\MSL
There is many possible ways to get your MSL for your Epic 4g.
1. If you still a Sprint customer you can call Sprint and ask for the MSL of your Epic, this is the most easy way to get it but not all CS representatives will give you the code.
2. Search and install “ConnectBot” from the Android Market, open the app, in the small dropdown box on the bottom left that says “SSH”, click and select “local” instead and on the “nickname” box put “Android” and hit Enter. On the new black screen with the “$” type “getprop ril.MSL”, you will get your 6 digit code, if that doesn’t work, reboot the device and try again. If it still doesn’t work type only “getprop” in this case you will get a very large command output scroll up and down and look where it says {ril.MSL}: {xxxxxx} the 6 digit number is your MSL
3. By using ADB, send “adb shell getprop ril.MSL” or “adb shell getprop” if the 2nd command is used you will need to look for the {ril.MSL} output

Thanks for the instructions...
I tried the hard reset and tried to root again and no success..

Do you have the ability to try a non-mac. They aren't known for playing nice. Plenty of people have had luck bringing their phone back. I'm kind of one the refusing to believe you have a strange phone that really doesn't want to work.
I've tried several times on my pc as well. Will try again tomorrow since i did a hard reset today and see what happens..

Try this. When you put your device in download mode it does install additional drivers.
Power phone off wait for the vibrate to tell you it is off
open keyboard hold down the 1 key and hit power
should come up to yellow triangle with a droid shoveling
In order to install drivers properly you may need to disconnect and reconnect the phone from the cable several times. And make sure any security programs aren't flagging the root program files as dangerous. That includes not only AV programs but some firewall-type ones too (like Comodo).

[Q] ##8778# not working for me

I'm sure this has been answered before, but I searched for 2 hours and couldn't find the answer. so anyways, I just got my phone and I want to flash it to boost(they charge $70-$80 here), but I can't even get it into diag mode using ##8778#. when i try it just acts like you're dialing a phone number. When I tried to read out the info with cdma workshop, it wouldn't read and I can't even locate the com port(using windows 7 64 bit). I checked device manager and ports don't even show up. I went into bios and I couldn't locate anyway to check to see if they were enabled, I guess it's not an option on my computer. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Use the el29 or ff18 temporary boot method. I am on my phone ATM, so no links, but Google works OK. Qbking did a video a while back about it. It lets you pout phone in temporary el29 state so you can use diag mode.

need help flashing to cricket using linux

So I had my usb charging port detach from the board on my phone. I got a new one, (well used but new to me) and it was flashed to VERIZON but unrooted, bootloader locked, and s-on. On my computer at home i couldn't get the phone to communicate with the computer using windows 7 64 bit. I had flashed and rooted the old phone so I'm not exsactly new to this. For some weird reason I could not get the NEW phone to communicate with the computer with the same drivers from my old phone. I went to a different computer and the drivers loaded fine. however upon flashing the configuration file from my old phone, (a configuration file obtained off this forum, the qpst cricket configuration file) to the new phone using QPST the phone did not recive ANY service (cricket or verizon). I have no bars at all. upon reading the phone through QPST all the settings took to the phone but theres no service or 3g. After several attempts to load the configuration file to the phone at one point i had 2 bars light up briefly indicating that there was service then disappear and cant get service.
Would using linux to flash the phone help? I couldn't find anything on google or the search bar on here on how to use linux to flash the phone to cricket.
Only possible thing I can think of on why I cant get any service to this phone is i have yet to deactivate the old phone. is it possible cricket is blocking any service to this phone because the MIN is already registered to my old phone?
I know this post is kind of confusing so please let me know if theres any way I can clairify it.
Well using qpst on linux is not very easy. Windows is your best bet. Also to get full service cricket must change your service to your new phones esn. Or you have to clone the esn which xda does not allow us to talk about on their fourm due to legal reasons.
Now if you have everything set correctly you should be able to get data to work but sms, mms, and cell service is all linked to esn. If you are getting now bars I am willing to bet your prl needs to be changed.
I have flashed several Og evos and 3d evos. Along with doing the unmentionable (cloning). Check your messages I will send you a pm with some information on flashing to cricket.

I need to rephrase my statment. The problem isn't not getting service to the phone the problem is not getting ANY SIGNAL at all. and im using the qpst settings for cricket off this forum. But i may have found out the problem. I looks like the phone may have been updated, i just saw some options on the phone my old one did not have. Sprint optimizer plus the roaming settings were set to sprint only. BTW cricket doesn't care if a phones ESN is clean or not.
which rom are you using? did you change the prl when you flashed over to cricket? did you change the msl code? you actually dont need a computer at all to flash the phone. on any of the stock rooted roms yo ucan change the needed settings right from the phone itself using the dialer codes. ##data# #, #7786#, ##000000#, etc etc.

Stock Rom.
Yes I did can't remember off the top of my head which prl.
Not sure what the msl code is, if its the same as the MIN that I called cricket for I used the same one as my old phone, should that be different with different phones? (min number)
I did not know that about flashing using only the phone. I'm not sure what is search for, to find that tutorial so if you'd be so kind to link me to one or write a quick step by step for that is be super grateful as Windows 7 (64bit) decided to not have the drivers work anymore from when I flashed my old phone. I've read everything on installing the drivers and tried many different versions of drivers including ones off here. I've tried reinstalling Windows multipul times. I tried using Linux (mint) and virtual machine (xp) but can't get Linux to communicate with the phone. And after using a friends computer and getting the drivers working with win 7 I loaded my old config file for qpst, the config file for qpst for cricket off here, and tweaking different settings, no signal and no 3g.
I've been working on this for several days and am getting tired of having a palm computer that only works on WiFi, so as said, a link for flashing using the phone only or you taking time to write one up, (it doesn't have to be pretty) would have me owing you BIG TIME.
Something else I've noticed on my, "new" used phone is that it runs significantly slower than my old one did. Hitting home key with no widgets running can cause the phone to take a good 5 seconds to load. Hitting the app drawer can take also a good 5 seconds to load all the apps.
BTW ##7786# didn't seem to do anything but I think I edited ##000000# correctly putting my MIN in both fields....unless there's supposed to be a 1 in the begining. Not sure what the data settings are supposed to be.

yeah sorry that code is supposed to be ##786#
some of the other codes you might want o use to confirm that your settings are correct are
##786# - EPST - Status Menu
##3282# - EPST - Data Programming Menu (User Name, Advanced, Restore, Enable HFA, DSA Server, MMSC URL)
##3424# - Diagnostic - Connect to phone in diag mode (im sure you already know that one)
##72786# - changes DSA back to Factory
*#*#4636#*#* - Phone Information - "Phone information, Battery information, Battery history, Useage statistics, Wifi information"
thats all i can remember at the moment.

*#*#4636#*#* if this can be edited this might be able to be fixed in this menu however upon dialing this the number cleared like it was about to do something but it didn't do anything. was this the correct code?
The code is correct.
Now here is a very handy code but it does not work with every rom. ##775# it allows you to change prls. You will need to know the msl code and if you are on a rooted rom you can use msl reader from the market. You will also need to download cricket prls and put them on your SDcard.

[UPDATE 12/24/13 ] SOLVED! Hard-bricked? Un-hard brick using sd card SM-N900T/N9005

UPDATE:Thanks to the hard work and diligence of XDA members @noobtoob, @ecs87, and recognized contributor @DocHoliday77, recognized developer @shabbypenguin, and others who will be added to this list after I go through some threads for their names -
It is my pleasure to announce that owners of the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3 who have unfortunately hard-bricked
their device, (will not turn on, no led light, qhusb_download mode as device status when plugged into pc) are NOW able to boot their device using sd card mode, instead of expensive JTAG repair!!
noobtoob has been so kind as to ship me the sd card that he successfully flashed, with uncorrupted files from a working tmobile note 3, using odin! Thank you! These files contain all of the prerequisite files needed to boot in this state, to download mode! Once there, a stock firmware flash with ODIN will totally restore your device, just as the SM-N900A variant (at&t), and tmobile and sprint galaxy s3 hard-unbrick methods right here on XDA, can accomplish as I type!
Now, owners of this device can flash with alot more ease, and also this could not only lead to discovery of this method for the entire Note 3 series, perhaps other devices as well!
Read the thread! Why just look for a quick fix when you can actually learn more about the way file systems in android work - and what to avoid doing so that the chances of this happening in the future are less likely? I conducted quite a bit of research, and spoke to some very talented people to get this thread where it is - and to learn some new things myself. This thread contains alot of good insight and discussion about how to solve this issue. Perhaps you could learn something. Either way, all of what you need to fix a hard brick for these two devices is here.
[Update] 12/17/13]
I do in fact now have the sd card. Thanks @noobtoob! The device will not boot still.
I'm going to try a jig also.
[UPDATE] 12-21-13
Thanks to time, guidance, and commands from @shabbypenguin, we found the reason why the sd card noobtoob wrote the umbrick.img to will not boot. It is simply not large enough! So now thanks to proper guidance and this is from shabbypenguin, Tmobile Note 3 users are almost safe from a hard-brick!
If anyone deserves credit for this all, it is @shabbypenguin and @KAsp3rd, and ultimately Samsung, for at least programming their phones to be virtually fail-safe! Special thanks @zinnium to be the first to report this working for them! Thank You!
We have the new .img , so the proper method, and files will be in this post for all to use. For now, they are in this thread. Of course all contributors will be thanked. Give me a little time to get myself together here in the real world, this has happened so fast I've barely had time to keep up!!!!!
Pm me, or post if this method works for you. Now, I mean this only if you first are aware that **IF YOU FLASH ANYTHING OR USE THIS METHOD IT IS AT YOUR OWN RISK - I OR NO ONE ELSE IS RESPONSIBLE BUT YOU!!**
Also, only if you are simply using the very last unbrick.img posted by noobtoob, in this thread. It is ONLY FOR THE TMOBILE NOTE 3 SM-N900T VARIANT!!!! USING IT FOR ANY OTHER MODEL WILL NOT WORK!! THERE IS AN UNBRICK.IMG FOR THE SM-N9005 ALSO AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST! **AGAIN - ONLY USE THE .IMG THAT IS FOR YOUR SPECIFIC DEVICE!!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED AND IT IS NOT MY RESPONSIBILITY IF ANYTHING GOES BAD!!!**
The file is 165mb in size, and needs to be written to a 32 or 64 gig sd card with Linux or another image writing tool, even using a CORRECT dd command in terminal emulator, with a rooted device. It has also been confirmed by XDA member zinnium to work with a 310mb system dump from of course - a WORKING T-Mobile Note 3. Also, XDA member aiti1980 has confirmed success with hard-unbricking the SM-N9005 model. The slimmer file does however, also contain all of the necessary partitions to correctly re-write improperly overwritten ones, including recovery!
Do not try to start a new thread and take credit for this!! This is the thread where this method started specifically for the t-mobile note 3 , and I take no credit for this method!!!! The real thanks should go to @shabbypenguin, and @KAsp3rd, who have brought this method, from unknown origins of my knowledge at the time of writing this - to XDA. @shabbypenguin has been kind enough to lend his expertise and time here in this thread, for the t-mobile note 3!! YAY Just in time for Christmas! Merry Christmas All!
UPDATE: 12/24/13 - Here's a Christmas gift for all SM-N9005 owners with a hard-bricked device...

Try using ODIN to flash back to stock. Then root using one of the available ways on XDA. Normally you install TWRP using Goo manager after root. It's that simple.

Recovery on the note 3 is actually on mmcblk0p15. So the issue is thankfully the partition you were trying to write to didn't have enough space to write.
If you change it to mmcblk0p15 you should be good. Or just install goo manager and install that way which is simplest. Should be option to install open recovery script.

Thanks for the help, I can't get the phone on at all though... it doesn't even recognize my device other than windows stating that it cannot recognize it, as it
malfunctioned.
Kies, will recognize it, even in this case?
Lastly, are you telling me that there is a way to push recovery with Odin even though the device is off, will not go into download mode, or recovery? If so, that's great!
Try with kies, best option as it will firmware reset your device back to stock.

Update - I tried using Odin 1.85. I see the device being recognized in one of the ports, but flashing the stock firmware, or twrp yielded no results.
I tried reinstalling the Samsung drivers, nothing. I even tried Odin 3.07, and 3.09. Since the device will not power on, I guess that is why it will not work.
I then tried an emergency firmware recovery using kies. It did not detect the device, which is normal, so I disconnected and reconnected the device repeatedly,
with no success. I uninstalled an reinstalled kies, and that did nothing either.
I installed the android 4.3 sdk, and used adb in an attempt to recognize the device using commands like adb reboot recovery.

I attempted through windows, to examine the ports, and found that there were different drivers present. The drivers installed on the PC were named QHUSB_DOWNLOAD 9008. When I first plugged the device to the PC, I noticed the device named as QHUSB_BULK, before changing to the above name, the same as the name for the drivers.
So my device is still alive.
Any advice? Can anyone help me get my phone on, at least into download mode? From there I can get it going. Please help if possible.
Sorry been busy with work. Are you sure you can't get into download mode? I originally wrote twrp to the wrong partition as you did and could still get download mode.
Theoretically it shouldn't have done anything that would prevent download mode from working....

I tried everything. No, download mode is not working, though I agree that it should theoretically still. I am still trying the three button method.
Would a jig work? I am working on one. Any ideas besides that?
i was going to suggest a jig actually. if that doesn't work you're probably out of a phone. could try warranty since it's REALLY bricked they probably won't be able to tell, did it with T-Mo on my G1, said it stopped turning on.
Have you tried removing the battery and holding down all the buttons before reinserting the battery again. My phone wouldn't turn on once and this helped. If not call tmobile tell them all kinds of funky things are happening with your phone and it keeps turning off. Once they tell you to factroy reset your phone, act like you are following their instructions, then when they tell you to turn it back on, tell them it will now not even turn back on. They are so slow there & will send you out a new one you'll have in 24hrs. Trust me Ive had to do this numerous times due to ocd when it comes to phones and having to have reasons to return them for the slightest flaw. I returned my galaxy note 2 before i got this note 3 like 8x's & even returned it the wk before i bought my note 3 just to get 1 with all new parts if not maybe even a new phone so the note 2 i sold would be in practically new condition if not like i said brand new, lol. im sure someones gonna get all butt hurt and start talking about fraud, lol
In the future you can flash Twr using Goo on your phone with No computer. Use JRummy 's rom Toolbox pro.

I agree, I simply followed the instructions on the twrp site, to flash recovery through terminal emulator.. I might have been off with the last number, and it obviously messed up my partitions... how did you get into recovery? The three button combo isnt working at all , no variation of it or battery pulls, or inserts have worked yet..
Also this is the place to get answers. Yet almost a thousand views but not even 20 posts. I know there is a way to fix this, can anyone share the fix?

It doesnt look good. I sent my vzw dev note 3 to Samsung with the same reboot problems and not being able to flash anything, and even they couldn't fix it.

That is what I saw next. I tried it again, three times, but noticed that write error was not there, so I assumed it was successful.
I rebooted, as instructed, and now a totally bricked device. I saw " qhusb_download " plugging it into one pc. A laptop with windows 8 stated that windows cannot recognize the device because it has malfunctioned.
Can someone please help? This is a disaster... the sm-900a has a method here on xda that fixes this problem... is there a way to fix this on a tmobile note 3?

Sorry to hear! I'll save you a whole bunch of time, I did the same thing to my galaxy s3 while trying to upgrade my installed clockworkmod. Long story short the commands I entered into terminal emulator we're fine its just that I put the wrong memory block which apparently flashed the image to the wrong area of the chip. I rebooted the phone and nothing happened. When I plugged it into the PC I would get the same thing you're getting. After a ridiculous amount of time I managed to get my hands on the correct drivers and installed them and found that flashing a stock firmware through Odin was a waste of time.
You need to send your phone into Samsung and the only solution is a motherboard replacement. Or you can find someone locally who can do a JTAG mod for you. But doing so will definitely void your warranty. When I shipped my phone into Samsung I told them I was using the phone and all of a sudden it got very hot and turned off and wouldn't turn on. Back in the S3 days I had to wait 3 weeks to get my phone back repaired. But these days there now Samsung service centers everywhere so you can probably get replaced phone on the spot.

Hey, Any luck with restoring your device, at all?
I'm in a somewhat similar predicament, myself... I accidently Wrote a backup of my NV Data to the EFS... 0_o
The log of the process showed everything seemingly going well... After rebooting, however... Well, it never did...
Now I can't get into Recovery, ODIN, Normal boot, nor will plugging it in even charge the battery(No screen/led response)...
I see QHUSB_BULK under Unknown Devices (Win7-Ult-SP1_x32)... Can't for the Life of me find the drivers, though...
In fact, reliable old Google even only returns 5 results relevant to said driver, each of which being a post in this thread =D lmao... (so prolly will be 6 results, once I submit this post) But yeah, I'm at a complete loss....
I hope you were able to find a solution for your device. And I hope someone can help discover/produce one for mine as well...
Thank you, XDA and all it's Dev's/Members...

[Q] How to flash Tab 3 from sprint to another carrier?

Hi, i just bought a Tab 3 from sprint and i was wondering how to flash it to another carrier, i understand the first thing i have to do is to put it into DIAG MODE but as you well know it does not have a dialer so i downloaded anycut and added the PhoneUtil Shortchut on my home but set it to Modem but my pc just recognize the Samsung Mobile USB Modem and i can't do anything on this port, the one i need is Samsung Mobile USB Serial Port in order to get connection with the tab for flashing.
Does anyone here have flashed this model to another carrier?
The model of my Tab 3 is SM-T217S.
Thanks.

firstly you dont need a dailer to put the tab in download mode secondly are you talking about unlocking it to use another sim?
i'd like to unlock the sim card but is can't i'd to flash for 3G(EVDO) network using DFS or CDMA Workshop.
I don't think that's possible

diag mode phoneutil for tab 3
I was able to get tab 3 in diag mode using a cmd terminal scripted (I found on the web) once and able to connect to qpst config but had a ? Mark next to esn. So I reset the tab hopefully being able to get back to phoneutil mode and recognized on qpst. Had no luck that way again, but I figured out another way hopefully this can help someone help me. But this new way im not even getting the phone showing up in qpst but I am getting phoneutil with dm+modem option. Ok. Im no way a expert but do fiddle so I used quickShortcutmaker.apk to make a activity on home screen the activity was factory mode. This activity gives you a keyboard gui. Assuming its the phone apk we dont get with tabs. So from there you can type ##3424# for phoneutil mode. If dont work, I also put a phoneutil.apk in system/app folder too. Not sure if this what helped so try either way and let me know if you getting closer to flash.
i flashed tab 3 Guide
Ok i just flashed the TAB 3 to MetroPCS. This how I done it, First of all I been flashing using the great wealth of info from this site for years. (BUT THIS IS MY FIRST TUTORIAL SO BEAR WITH ME) Okay the problem is getting the TAB 3 recognized as SAMSUNG. MOBILE USB SERIAL PORT in device manager . So I just Downloaded QUICKSHORTCUTMAKER from PLAYSTORE then i created an activity on homescreen the shortcut is name factory mode you'll find it if you scroll down the new activities. press OK and now its on your homescreen. from there you press the factory mode icon on home screen. This get you a dialer GUI. type in ##3424# that brings up DM settings. from there I just followed the other post to provision the TAB3 to my carriers of choice.
This is where I ran into Problems. It showed up with ? mark using CDMA configuration when changing esn but works perfect in DFS tools with port connection so I did ESN change using that program. and i also slowed down my setting in device manager to half with receiver and transmission buffer flow in SAMSUNG. MOBILE USB SERIAL PORT under properties, port settings and advance tab. another thing is you might want to do is uninstall sprint activation in Titanium backup before Provisioning because it'll try to restart sprint service for about 5 minutes, til its disable. If your not getting a connection in DFS anytime during the flash the only way I cleared up that was by factory reset with cache and delvik wipe for good measure in recovery. then download quickshortcut.apk again for factory mode access.
Just picked up 1 yester day
Ok so I have made some progress on this but I can't get the MSL & the 16 Digit pw that is working won't let me write to all the are's I need to write to.
So I Installed APEX Launcher & made a shortcut on my home screen called Factory Mode(Thanks to poster above)
then I opened it & a dialer showed up I put in ##3424#(##DIAG#) & got the normal Samsung Phone Util Screen so I Clicked PDA then Qualcomm USB Setting then clicked the BOTTOM 1 which is DM+MODEM+ADB I was able to get a Serial port in CDMA WS,DFS & QPST. FYI A couple of the other setting as well but use the Bottom selection like all other Samsung Phones
I am on 4.2.2 so I am going to try to Downgrade to 4.1.2 to see if I can get the MSL/SPC cause that's what's stopping me from getting working data on Selectel or any other Verizon MVNO for that matter. I'll post back if I make more progress,
If I don't post back that means I haven't had time or haven't made progress but i'll be tring to get this flashed cause i just picked 1 up so as long as I don't get to busy with customers i'll be on it.

I called sprint for my msl code and got it. But if your on Verizon tab then its just 000000, the 16 digit password that worked for me is 2012112120131219. I also in Dfs had used both msl and 16 digit to fully unlock. Phone hopefully you just need one. Let me know
Hopefully no dead in water already

I'm on a Sprint Tab 3. I have been flashing for yrs I am a dealer & flash everyday & I used that 16 Digit PW & everything wrote but the ppp username for some reason. I didn't try to "Repair" the MEID cause there's really no need to if your just going for 3G on a Verizon mvno Like I am. I would actually like to put it on T-Mo's $30 5GB of Data plan to b honest. I'm having issue's getting back into the Phone Util screen now. I flashed the Stock Deodexed had issue so I tried the Stock Odex Rom & just now figured out that the date is wrong on the Backup I made so I'm trying it so hopefully it will work & let me back into the Phone Util so I can keep messing with it.
I forgot to mention that that 16 Digit PW is also the same as the D710 & Sprint & USCC S3's & S4's. May also be the Default pw for Samsung. Just thought I would mention that incase some1 has it marked as 1 of those in their CDMA ws Folder like I do
Ok Update #3 or #2 whatever lol So I was able to restore my backup & get back into the Phone Util & Get Diag YAY whoo that wasn't good.

I had to go to recovery cwm and factory reset and cache, devle wipe when trying to reconnect to Dfs. you have to change meid and ESN then provision tab under CDMA. Unless youre trying to flash under T-Mobile Sim which I haven't tried but might been better speed and 4g possible. If so and get it working I want first dibs on tutorial lol

To my belief you cannot "flash" a sprint carrier to another. You have to get at least a sim card from the Verizon or other company to be able to use it.

Not true at all my buddy. just not true info at all. you can flash almost any cdma device that you can set in diagnostic mode and write information. Qualcomm and VIA chipset included. I have been flashing phones for years and flash many of these tablets as well. On a side note you can very much SIM unlock these Sprint GS4 and N3 etc , just google it before telling another guy misinformation....Sprint and Verizon are only using those SIMS for 4G authentification. it does not control your talk/text/cdma data at all
For anyone wondering this tab is flashable. Disconnect usb cable and often disable and re-enable diag while disconnected. this will bring back the port. you'll often have to close cdmaws or dfs for the port to become writable again.
Use the S3/S4 flashing methods and script to 000000 your MSL IF youre planning on a cricket or Verizon mvno

In order to get in diag mode you must download quickshortcatmaker from play store and then open it and search for factory mode and make shorcat. Then open the shorcat and type ##3424#. But you must have the 6dig code to access the menu.
