is it possible? i have done some research and the only app i can find that does this does not support our phones. Boot manager pro is the name of it and the other one i found only supports the overseas SG2. I would like to mess with other roms but just hate having to flash back and forth.
I wish I could be of some help because I am very interested in the same. I have also searched for a way. Grub4android?? lol. Now that would be great!!

You should try an app called switchMe from the market its free and seems to work with our phone I can not say that much about the app yet I have not tried it out yet but I think it should work

That was based on an OG Epic kernel Rodderik who created a dual booting kernel but the setup procedure was so complex it was over most of our heads

Thanx thats really cool. looks like its not a high priority for our phones. its cool though. ICS is way more important anyways. the reason i want dual is to test out the alpha build for ICS.

You can nandroid ... then flash then restore ... won't take that long like 5 mins
just wondering when you nand backup does that backup all the apps, messages, contacts, login info , etc.... or only the current rom wiped?
yes it backs up everything.
When you restore a nandroid are you also restoring the kernel and rom?
Or does it just restore your apps/data?
For instance -- Can I nandroid, wipe, flash blazer rom and then restore and have all my data + apps on Blazer?
Sorry for the noob question!
anybody try switchme
I can Download it but I haven't tried it yet

my lights work perfectly fine every ROM i've tried and have tried most other than couple ics ROM's . So wouldn't blame the ROM as the cause.

Its def possible, and was just throwing it out as a possibility. Without actually holding your phone its not really feasible to expect an exact diagnosis. therefore people throw possibilities out for you to check out since you are the one with it in hand.
But whatever, since you feel the need to be a **** I could less give a damn about any further assistance.

solved
if anyone encounters this, i got it fixed
seems the only way is to get back to in-box state (stock and format all ur storage)
then root, flash whatever u want
This happened with all three of the SII's that are in the family and its unlikely that they are all defective seeing as how they are all running on the same ROM. Doesn't bother us much though, we know were the keys are located

No. That just pulls up a list of the recently used apps. I'm taking about true multitasking with split screen windows.

Ah...multiview....not yet. Sprint has it...us...not yet
Same here, when I hold the back button on my ATT note 2 nothing happens. Anyone fix this?
Multiview should arrive as an OTA as it did for Sprint. No models shipped with it (not sure about the international model).

There isn't a mod available yet for our phone that will enable the multiview feature...they might have it for other note 2"s but i don't know if it's safe to try on the at&t version
Well here's the thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1961314
And I checked the zip and its nothing to damage the phone as long as you have a backup. Its just an app and a framework jar. And it works for the sprint so could possibly work. I don't have mine yet so I can't flash the zip but I would try it. If you have a good backup you can flash it and see if it works!
Personally, I think I will wait until we get a good working ROM going. I was browsing the s3 forums and noticed they had a port from the note 2 with unlimited multiview built in so I'm sure some talented dev will get it going for us soon. I must admit, this feature was one I was really looking forward to and one of the main reasons for upgrading. Was kind of shocked and disappointed when I got home and saw my nice new present to myself but MISSING FEATURES! Lol

Just wondering why everyone's got such a hardon for AOKP? Granted, I have yet to try it in any way shape or form, but it just doesn't seem THAT much better than CM. Users are switching over to it, I've seen a few devs rebasing ROMs off it and what not.

I for one adore the pink unicorn boot animation as well as the expressions I get from it. As for why I love AOKP, I would say the smoothness of performance, the level of customization, and the dev support. (I use Task's build which is frequently updated.)

It turns your swagger on and off, duh.
I ran it and found it to be a good, fast rom. No real issues to speak of, though I missed a couple of small things. For example, the inability to add apps to the lock screen's unlock slider, no charging indication, etc. Very small things. And ya, the boot anim had to go. Took me a little reading but I replaced it with a different AOKP anim (something WITHOUT a pink unicorn!). I'm now on another rom which has the stuff I was missing with AOKP and a little more. Also good.
In short, obviously plenty of good roms out there. This is only my second one but loving it..

Thanks for the serious responses to my not so serious question lol. Gotta exchange my phone today (have some dead black pixels and that's just unacceptable to me), but I'll think about giving it a shot. AOSP has been everything I've wanted out of my phone so far, but it's always good to try new things I suppose.

Hey guys,
I have been flashing so many different roms and I love all of them. They are all so legit and the devs are frikken amazing with their work...
The Roms that I flash just slow down or something goes wrong in a few weeks and then I have to flash something else.
What is the Rom that you use that has been working for a few months? I would like EVERYTHING to work.
Thanks for your feedback!

Oh look another ill-fated "best ROM" thread in the General sub forum....
Whompasaurus + persius + crossbreeder mod + force gpu rendering and set transitions at 0.5 sec (both under developer settings). I don't remember the last time I turned off my phone, everything is just so fast and smooth all the time. Make sure to turn off data, and autosync when not using your phone, and you'll practically have the best battery life ever.

No where. These threads are not allowed. I have seen them get pretty nasty before. Try them out and find what you like. These devs put tremendous amounts of time to put these out. At least use just a little bit of your time to read the different op's and flash them yourself. Goodluck.
