Hi,
I have uploaded the ROOTED Stock ROM of Micromax A210 Canvas 4 (JB 4.2.1). I have just removed GAPPS since it's size was too large to upload with the ROM but that too is uploaded as patch in a flashable zip.
What i did was cook it with Android Kitchen, added Root & Busybox & zipalign all the APK. That's it. :angel:
This is a flashable zip which can be applied from recovery.

Good news, CWM recovery is now available for Canvas 4, here is the thread to download it, I have already tested it and it works, just copy to SD Card, then flash with Mobile Uncle Tools..

As soon as you flash CWM recovery, enter it and Make a nandroid backup of your phone only then try this ROM.

Install zip from SD Card and Select the ZIP file given here

GAPPS Patch
No need to replace script anymore, i have updated the ROM's zip file and re-uploaded...
I have fixed the Updater script, so now you can flash this zip through CWM.
You just need to replace the updater-script & update-binary in the Downloaded zip file with the ones attached.
How-To:
Download the ROM's zip file, then open with WinRar
Goto-> META-INF -> com -> google -> android -> and there you will see the old updater-script
Now download the new updater script & update-binary attached here, extract both to your computer then drag it to this location of the zip file, In the message that appears, click OK you are done.
Now you can flash the Zip file as mentioned above.

Not tested on Canvas HD, but you can give it a try since both phones have exactly same hardware including the chipset.. but make sure you make a Nandroid backup of your phone and then try this..

Hello,
I just saw this today only It was reported that there is no custom recovery. I do not know whether it is available here and did not google it. I used "MTK tool and obtained the recovery image and I am porting here both the custom recovery and Patched up boot.img files provided by the MTK Droid tool 2.4.8.
It may be useful for cooking custom Roms. The CWM provided is 5.5.0.4.. You. have to flashed through SP Flashable Tool by ticking only the recovery. and again only boot.img the remaining items except preloader has to unticked.
After Rooting with Zen701hd root tool I used the MTK Droid tool 2.4.8 to Re-Root the phone and istall the Super Su as the Zen tool only rooted the p;hone and failed to install the super user. Latter I updated it with Update 1.51 SuperSu. My phone is superbly functioning.
When I ported the zip file XDA server says no security token and I could not port it I am Porting the url. here

I have downloaded and used the custom firmware.
I used the MTK tool to root and install custom recovery.some weeks before.
When I installed this rom soft brick happened to my phone, it could not boot. It stopped for nearly 30 minutes in the boot lago. Then I used the Customback up to restore my phone.
This is my experience.
My IMEI also vanished. Somehow I could restore the IMEI by copy and paste procedure using the Root explore of the Device/nvram file.
May be is it because I was having 5.5.0.4 recovery as installed by the MKDroid Tool 2.4.8 or by any other means.
Any similar experience.

Hi, I think i found the cause of the error you got. No need for logcat, can you just tell me the mount partitions for /system directory. It needs to be updated in the updater-script of the zip file.

Dear Brother,
It is to big for me to digest and follow. I can us the MkDroid tool to get the block. It is ok. I am not finding any fault with the Rom. I narrated my experience. Many user of the phone is like me. Just I attempted and failed. I will send you the Droid tool block copy to night when

Thanks, got what i needed,I will upload the modified file tomorrow.. And it seems there is a working CWM recovery available, so users are advised to make a nandroid backup of the system before flashing this rom.

'cause someone tell me that i MUST set min frequency to 312 or higher to prevent rebooting certain period of time.
So it doesn't reboot automatically when you set max frequency and lower to 157MHz or something volts?
i used this kernel before for almost a month it doesn't reboot at 128mhz its just the wakelock issue that i'm experiencing

It's true friend.
I have always used 832-832mhz in stock and custom roms.
Now with Merruk Kernel 2.5 I'm using 1.24-1.24ghz.
No problem anytime.
Use this.

If u will set both max and min freq to 1.24 ghz u will definately hv random reboots at frequent intervel of 15-20 mins....
Set it to min-312 max-1248 gov-lionheart i/o-cfq or sio...
Than u will hv no random reboot....

Sdcard Root means the main part of sd card, not in any folder.
Just paste those directly on sd card(mnt/sdcard) .not in any folder.
I have done this process and after getting success I have posted this process.

The following steps must be performed carefully, I do not know if I will update with backup made by CWM. So many beginners, the experienced should know the risks of losing the phone using SPFT. But the process is very simple.
If you do not know how to use SPFT, I suggest taking the phone and the files to a technical assistance to execute this process.
For beginners: create a specific folder for all files and unzip! Do not worry about losing the IMEIs. It has tutorial for that too.
Before doing anything you need for all drivers SP Flash Tool function properly and install the ROM. I've them had and use Win XP. Some W8/W7 users need to update or install the drivers correctly. See this: MediaTek DA USB VCOM driver for MT6577. **If you already have it, forget it.

Download driver chipset MTK6577 recognition on the computer after using SP Flash Tool here.

i have to clear something here for A90s users
here in this tutorials says u have to format first bootloader with NVdata but i said no A90s user plz skip this steps cuz otherwise u lost your device IMEI permanently ............ u guys think now then hows gonna JB boot up ??
Thats why m here i want to clear that things that JB boot up still even u skip that STEPS and direct just coose firmware upgrade after loading scatter files
Profit is u never loose your Device IMEI data

Presently I am working on a ROM with DUAL SIM working & full SIV features such as Full Touchwiz, Air gestures, Swipe in call log to call & message, SIV lock screen, SIV Samsung App Hub, Samsunng S-Voice, Samsung Adapt Sound, Stock Video player with Floating window etc etc.... Trying to add on it Smart Play/Pause in video player like SIV & few other features. Would upload it once done..( IF AT ALL I AM ABLE TO DO IT)

Use the lastest Mobile Uncle Tool, make sure that your phone aready rooted and grant permission
If not, plz use SP Flashtool to flash CWM
I rooted the phone and grant access to mobileuncletools still no go.... Using SP flashtool the battery needs to be removed, which I don't feel confident.......

First of all, you will need Official Stock ROM and SPFT ( SP Flash Tool) to Flash ROM or a part of ROM (CWM, boot, logo...)
I have recored a Video how to use SPFT, you can see on Youtube

1. Remove PIN out of the phone
2. Run Flashtool.exe >> Choose Scatter...txt on Stock ROM Folder
3. Remove Checksum.ini on Stock ROM (because stock recovery.img file will different CWM Recovery)
4.Only tick recovery if you want to flash CWM Recovery. Tick all to flash whole ROM.
5. Click Download
6. Without the PIN, connect USB Cable with your computer
7. Insert PIN later
8. Open Device Manage to check mt65xx Driver
9. Update Driver
10. See the Flashtool RUN
If success you will get notic

Can I flash the whole rom ( S4 custom ) usingthe SP flash tools instead of CWM because im not able to flash this in two ways tried....

I haven't.. I have always flashed with cwm. When I tried with sp flash tool. It says invalid port.

Hello Friends,
Disclaimer: Please be informed I am not a developer or an expert in Android, Just a Gadget Freak and would like to test multiple things.
First I was concerned to use SPFT using my new A119Q. However I have succeeded after 7 hours of struggle with the help of XDA forums and Google. Below is the step by step guide how I flashed my Phone with S4 UI enclosed in this POST.
1. Root your Phone using the link provided in Youtube Video posted by nikhil udgata
2. Download the CWM recovery from the first page of this post and place it in the root of your SD card
3. Rename the CWM_LAI to recovery.img [DO NOT USE CAPS] - Learnt it hard way
4. Download the ROM from the list in the first page you would like to Flash.
5. Rename the Zip file to Update.zip
5.Download Mobile Uncle Tools from Play Store [FREE]
5. Flash your recovery using the MobUncle
6. On successful flash, press OK to reboot into recovery [this will reboot into CWM recovery you just flashed]
7. Install the ROM From CWM as you would do any ROM... Wiping Cache etc etc before Installing.....

Root of SD card means directly on the SD card and not any folders. example: If you are using windows to place this file.... and if the SD card drive is E: place it directly as E:/recovery.img
if its not on the root folder Mobile uncle will not detect the recovery.img
And for all users.. who wants to know how to use SPTF [On/OFF]... Pin in Vietnamese means Cell. so you have to remove the battery.. which is obviously off

There is no imei issue in this rom. For those who need to restore imei using mobile uncle tool everytime they install a new custom, just follow the easiest way described below.
STEPS:--
1. Make sure you have rooted your mobile and have root explorer installed or similar in your mobile phone.
2. Next download this tool=http://www.4shared.com/archive/ss4A23VB/IMEI_windows.html
3. Open a command prompt
-Press SHIFT+RMB(Right mouse button)
-open command window here.
-press enter
-A black window will appear with writing
-Enter the following text:
imei.exe <15digit_IMEI_1> <15digit_IMEI_2>
You can use a valid IMEI or IMEI generator to generate random IMEI's using this toolhttp://www.4shared.com/file/zhEXB80K/uig.html
(eg: imei.exe 123456789111111 123456789111111)
4. Press Enter*
If both IMEI you gave are in correct format the file named MP0B_001_NEW will*
be created. Now you can put it on the sd and insert that in to the phone.
Run root explorer
Copy it to - system need r/w need to be on:*
/data/nvram/md/NVRAM/NVD_IMEI/MP0B_001
and make sure you rename the file "MP0B_001_NEW" to " MP0B_001"
And finally REBOOT your phone.

I din noticed any as it was written on the thread frm whr i ported. One thing i found is tht when u click on taskmanager button frm recentpanel it opens setting instead of opening taskmanager. Check it out and report.

Maybe you should rephrase that IMEI bug thing. Or just don't list it there.

Other users (on the A116) said that they lost their root access when they flashed SuperSU zip. Dunno, that's why I'd like this root issue to be confirmed.
i guess 0.8 is pre-rooted and 0.9 is not...

If you want I can give you examples like easy voice recorder Will only save to Android folder of extsdcard and not to the root folder. Please enable the functionality so that third party apps as well as inbuilt apps can access the root of extsdcard. Thanks

What folder structure...you give voice record for example and i have give that.
And This is titanium backup. That can akses to external to. That not defold app.
If you not belive...and you in stock rom now. Flash my path in anyrom stock lolipop that you have...than see it...

Yes I mean saving directly to storage/extsdcard. Most apps will only save to android folder in extsdcard.
I'm extremely happy to see you here @zuziemanis. Thank you for making an odex stock for i9500. I've just Odin my phone back to original pf1 Russia downloaded from sammobile because i bought a new battery & can't get nfc to work on vova rom. Then i found out the nfc placement is differently placed on other model of phones, i tested with an Xperia Z Ultra.
Now I've to download yours & flash it. I find odex rom is faster in performance

This is what he meant (photo). As far as i know this started on kitkat, some apps doesn't allow or don't have the option to choose custom extsd folder/location. So it's not rom related
