So is the phone hard bricked when the screen flashes the phone yellow triangle to pc across the screen? I searched and came up w so many conflicting answers. If anyone has a link specific to this problem please shoot it my way. I know that it can be revived from boot loop but this doesn't seem to have any solution I can figure out. Shoot id even be willing to try a jig if I had the proper instructions.
Again thanks in advance ladies and gents!

Interrupting the flashing process is what caused it, not the fault of Odin, user error...
Only Odin is able to flash in that state anyway..

Yes you are correct sorry if I sounded like I meant odin was at fault, I absolutely know that is not the cause, his problem was not charging his battery before trying to restore and it died in the process. .
Any ways still looking for any type of solution, tia

I gave you the solution already, you have to use Odin to flash it. You can try OMAP flash though, although people don't have much success..

I have exactly the same problem (phone-yellow triangle-PC image) and with Odin I'm not able to see the green COMort.
Is there any other alternative?

why would you use odin? thats an awful hacker tool, leaked, no documentation, press one wrong button and your nexus is dead. google has made fastboot, use that to flash images. you find a tutorial in the galaxy nexus toolkit thread, you might aswell use that, though, it relies on fastboot and adb.
For people that came from samsung devices Odin is a very useful and the most comfortable tool. Fastboot is safer indeed but....sometimes u just don't want to write plenty commands in terminal when in Odin is just a one click.
gnextoolkit is one click aswell, its safe as milk, its clean, well documented and theres not much you can do wrong. dont harass poor nexus with odin. for all we know the guy could have just killed his phone, stuck at 12% doent sound so nice, hope it still came trhough.
Ok guys i repaired. From so diffcult way

Yeah sure, if Odin fails then it's the time to use different means. I only use Odin when I want to perform a clean flash with full wipe. Otherwise (most of the time) I use fastboot. Toolkit goes very seldom.
EDIT: Great!!! How did you fix it?

Well, problems with toolkits is they run commands in sequence. Not to mention the user knows nothing and almost always ends up in the Q&A section asking for help because they get bootloops trying to flash a ROM/mod downloaded from what they think is a make my nexus kewl forum.

Boot.img have nothing to do with the padlock icon..
Padlock icon means unlocked bootloader.
fastboot oem lock to get rid of it.

i have rather an established toolkit running official google components in sequence than a hacked/leaked samsung app that is neither documented nor known as to what it does and how it does it (and it will run stuff in sequence though). i own the s2 and know their forums, it is overfull of odin broke this odin broke that, pressed a wrong button phone dead, try jig here send it in for repair there. gnextoolkit is a great tool and the guy has put so much effort in it to keep it up to date and documented. every single thing he does there is laid out in the tutorial, fastboot commands aswell. i would recommend that tool to new users in a heartbeat.
I wouldn't exaggerate though. I owned Galaxy R, then S2 for more than year totally. I've never had one single issue with Odin (and I am a flashoholic ). Yes there were some instances when people messed around using it in a mindless way (or simply had bad luck...or Kies turned out to be a villain...) but the majority used it regularly without bigger problems. I'm not trying to say that Odin is perfectly safe...no no but if you follow the guide, have all required drivers installed (and Kies turned off) I don't see the reason why I should discourage users from running it.
odin

yeah, i perefer fastboot and gnex toolkit too but this time i hav to use odin.
use always odin and don't post if you will have problems.as molesarecoming sad you, fadtboot it's the way to go.odin works too,but fastboot is better, and don't say "fastboot has command to write,it's more difficult bla bla bla" all ****,there are not more than 5 commands to know for the major parts of operations.tools works withouyt commans, but i prefer manually because i know what i'm doing and i know if seomething goes wrong,at which type of command the phone was when occured the problem.
So I was running Slimbean 6.2 weekly with ktoonez 6.8 kernel and decided to go into recovery (CWM Touch 6.0.3) to fix permissions and clear cache since I was having some battery drain issues. After I hit fix permissions it started to do so and then all of a sudden my phone rebooted and gets stuck at the splash screen. Went back into recovery to try and fix permissions again same thing happens. Tried clearing cache and doing a normal reboot still stuck at splash screen. I tried doing a factory reset but it keeps rebooting right when it gets to formatting data. So essentially I can do anything aside from format data so I am guessing there's some corrupt file there that's keeping me from formatting it. I've tried installing different ROM's that I have on my SD card but they always get stuck at the splash screen. Doing a restore doesn't work as once it gets to restoring data the phone reboots. I checked report error or something along those lines in CWM Advanced and it said can't format /emmc which I'm not sure what that means.
I've looked around but haven't been able to find any information on how to fix this. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Ok go into CWM wipe cache, wipe dalvik and do factory reset. Then flash any rom which you have on your phone storage. Does this work?

Even better, download one of the Odin 1-clicks. Connect your phone, open the 1-click and stand back while it does its magic.
EDIT: Here http://rwilco12.com/Files/Devices/S...ooted/SPH-L710_MD4_1130792_Rooted_Restore.exe

It has been rumored that Samsung will not warrant the device if it is bricked but if the power button breaks they would most likely repair it.

Hi
I dont know what really happen to your device but here some things that might help.
1. Get the latest twrp zipfile should be 2.6.3
2. Unpack in a New directory on your PC - in this directory should be 2 files - one ODIN and one TWRP
3. Use the ODIn in that new directory only this Odin version will work.
4 load the TWRP file into ODIN
5 The only Oding Setting which should be changed is the Auto Re-Boot Option switch it off.
6 Than start the Load Process be patient can Take up to 6 Min.
This works i did it myself if any further question feel free to ask - ih this has helped a thanks would be nice-

Also on a possibly unrelated note the backup was compressed when i made it, do i need to decompress the file?

It's kinda really hard to permanently brick these phones. As long as you can get to download mode you can usually get back with odin.
hey guys I am developer and I got a bricked note 2.
If I go to philz touch recovery it says cant mount stuff and I cant flash anything.
In Odin it says Complete(write) operation failed.
Is my internal storage dead ?

Would you share what you've tried to flash with Odin and what has been your last firmware, bootloader?

I was on the cm nightly and than it did not start after some months. I tried to flash a lot of different stock roms and also tried different pit files. Seems to me like my internal sd is dead

I've asked for firmware/bootloader, not last custom rom. Last firmware is important to know to give an advice.
What stock roms have you tried?
Another option is to restore using Kies, tried?

Only reasonable chance I see is to flash any firmware above 4.2 through Odin. Mj5 (4.3) to NL1 (4.4.2)

Odin 3.09 is actual version and firmware you get HERE.
If I remember correctly there has been a change in partitions with Android 4.3, so hopefully not more than the firmware will be needed.

I assume you can enter download mode. When doing so, what do you see in the top left corner? If you DONT see a product name then i believe that means you have a failure.
If you DO see a product name then that's another question i am trying to figure out as well
Thanks

Then i believe you dont have the classic SDS issue. In that case the product name is blank.
I also have the same issue. No matter what i try (Kies or Odin) everything fails.
I sent the phone to a technician (http://gsm-technix.de/shop/) and he says the emmc chip has failed which he cant fix. Perhaps you have the same issue. But i cannot get absoulte answers if my (and your) symptoms are an SDS
Thanks

How do you conclude it is the battery that is the problem?

Can you post some screenshots of the issue please?
