[Q] messages and missed calls on CM7

Hi guys
I'm runnin cm7 n a few basic q's plz :
1) When i get a message and a missed call, is it possible to get like a notification in the unlock screen?
2) The clock that you get on the unlock screen, is there a way of putting it on the desktop?
3) How to turn off the dictionary when texting?
4) Cant i get widgets on cm7? I'm basically after a calender just like the stock on.

You need to tell us if you're using stock apps or apps from market.

Basically i rooted my device and downloaded and flashed CM7 from their website. SO most of the apps are stock apart from an app which is used to make calls. It is 'dialer one'.

[Q] Data Status

I dont like to have Data status in status bar , i normaly allways use power controlplus to quick active data on the phone on my X10i.
Now i buy a new Arc S and i have the data swich on status bar all time, when is off when is on.. is a crap , anyone can help me removing it please?

Use third part data enabler....they don't give you this annoying notification.
Etc "switch pro widgets"

Still there, i use a enable internet , MMS etc and same problem..
This is a android notification , data enable or disable.. any way to remove this?
Installing another data manager is the same think.

Did you even tried "switch pro.."??
And why you need disable mms?
Btw...best and hardest way disable/enable internet is "renaming your apn setting...then this notification dont appear.

You arent understand me or im not explain me better..
I whant internet when i turn on Wifi or Enable Data in android definitions, i try switch pro and i like , is the same think like power control plus .
The icon i dont whant in status bar is the icon of Data Trafic status, Disable or Enable.. i whant to hide that option of status bar (left corner icon) ..
I put a screen shot to understand what is the icon i whant to remove .
ps: sry my bag english.

Can you not just drag the screen down press clear job done notification goes.

I understand you dont like this icon.....im right??
I reccomend you3rd part apn switcher.....
THEN THIS ICON DONT APPEAR.
Tested, tryed, working.
If you completly want remove this icon it think you need modyfy your framework-res or do some theme stuff.

I use SwitchPro and if I remember rightly, turn Data on in Settings, then use SwitchPro to turn it off and back on and see if that does it.

Did that and no new , i have switchpro instaled and do that and the icon keeps there...
taaviu i have switchpro like you say and no new..
When i have my X10i with android 2.3.3 is no problem the icon gone without any problem , with Arc S android 2.3.4 the icon dont vanish and the option to clear isnt there with icon ON , is any other aplication is up i clear and the aplication gone but the icon keeps there ..

Setting-application-manage applications-statusbar.apk-force stop/clear defaults/data.
Reboot.
Try.

Fellow Arc S user in Portugal here. The issue is with the ROM that, in my case, TMN put on the phones. It is simply impossible to remove that notification, and it was the one thing that made me consider selling the phone. I tried everything, including freezing almost all system applications. If there's an easy solution, it eludes me.
I solved the issue by flashing another ROM, I used WotanClient to flash a World ROM (for free) and the problem was solved and now I find my Arc S absolutely perfect. As far as I know there's no software solution to this problem, but since reflashing solves it, you should be fine.

Then reflash All your firmware with flashtool.
Backup your data and apps.

2 Friends mine have one Arc S and one Arc , bouth have the same problem, cant remove the icon like in pass version of Android.
Bouth have 2.3.4.
I give up, i have a lot of work to remove all junk etc apps of my phone, is stable and very very clean, i realy pass tho reflash que SE rom ..
PS: One of my friends updated to last version in SE update software and the problem is there, and i think this isnt a problem, is just a feature of Arc and Arc S maybe ?
If anyone have more ideias " without reflash " i will test.

Please read my message. It's a "feature" that is activated only on the Iberian version of the firmware. Flash with any other version (I'm using the UK one) and the problem is gone. There is NO other way of solving the issue.

Call screen!!!

Any possibility of changing the call pick up methods?? coz mine is just a touch to either pick up or cut and its hard...sometimes i attend the call wen i try to pull out the phone from my pocket!

I used to have the same problem with the stock ROM when i first bought my Desire, due to the poor design of the original HTC Sense lockscreen. After searching in vain for a solution, i asked the devs of a "call confirm" app i was using if they can do something about it. And they did. Try Tiny Call Confirm and be sure to enable Incoming Call Lock from under General setings. Enjoy!

[Q] bluetooth vibration notification ???!!!

hello everybody
is there any mod to make the device vibrate when request to accept the file and finish receiving the file ???
no problem if there is an app can to that but I prefer a mod coz the app can use more ram

Try NotifierPlus Pro. It can monitor your bluetooth and give notifications.
Im using this app to get lockscreen notifications. Works nice, low memory and vattery usage

I've used the app and found it just notify (vibrate) for accepting the file request but not when finished receiving
the idea in my request is :
when I'm forced to receive big files using Bluetooth I wanna be notified when the files are completely received this is the most important thing because it's already notify (by sound) when accepting for file request

Considering that the completion of a file transfer via bluetooth prompts a 'notification' just like an sms, have you tried going into settings/sound/ and checking 'vibrate on ring?

Well, then im out of options, and hit the thanks button istead saying it, helps kinda more

the vibration option in sound settings is for ringing only
and the most important thing I wanna get is to be notified (sound+vibration) when the big files are completely received to my phone because when I accept them to transfer I place my phone away far of me and need to know the finish
I hope my idea is explained enough

Texting Issue

Had another quick question.......
I have noticed over the past few days, when I am texting with someone, it places their text response above the text I sent them first......
All my conversations look weird.....any ideas of why this might be happening?
I am on a rooted S3...

which texting app are u using? have u tried more than one? stock ? go sms pro? does it happen with both? what rom are u using? u need to be a little more detailed if u expect help

I had this same issue I fixed it by going to Date and Time in the system settings and selecting Automatic date and time. For some reason that isn't on by default and I haven't had that issue since.

I am using the stock 4.1.1 ROM - Rooted
Stock messaging program - Samsung?
I have not tried any other messaging programs

Interesting.......I have always had mine set to automatic......but once you mentioned it, I went and looked and it was not set to automatic. I just recently rooted my phone, and now that I think about it, I have been having this issue ever since......so lets hope this fixes it.
